Welcome to Insanowar and the Graveyard of Ultimate Power and Assorted Silliness
Or Insanowar: GUPAS for short.

Da Rules:

1.) There are five players, each of which represent a commander of their army.

2.) Each player takes turns choosing some powerful character, semi-powerful group of characters, or large mob of expendable non-characters from any sort of media. Examples: The TMNTs, five nameless Jedis, a Dreadnought from 40K, a mob of kobolds.

3.) When each player has 10 selections, the game begins.

4.) A map will be provided showing the layout of the battlefield. Each person will have a base of operations with which they can wage war. Note that each base is about 2 turns away from each other.

5.) A static turn order is established. In each turn, the player dictates what their troops are doing, as far as the opponent can see. Secret actions need not be reported (although it is good sportsmanship to give hints as to what your are planning).

6.) When troops engage, the person whose turn the engagement took place on decides the outcome, which will usually NOT be all one way. If there is any friendly dispute (and the dispute WILL be friendly, or else), other players/playgrounders chime in with their opinions. If no consensus is reached, it's a 50/50 slaughter.

7.) The winner is the one who wins.

Da Guidelinez:

1.) You can't choose anyone TOO powerful. No gods, demigods, anything like that. Make it something that's about the same power level as the other troops on the field.

2.) Don't be a jerk. The objective here is to have fun--frankly, who wins and who loses is pretty arbitrary anyway. This game is definitely straddling the line between Silly and Structured.

3.) Respect Awesomeness. If a player is pulling off something that's just too awesome to believe, that should aid his victory.

4.) Enjoy yourself. Seriously, guys.

Each base is NOT the same anymore. Matching the image, we have:

The bases will be chosen after all units have been picked in reverse order. This means Fin will get to pick his base first and Mordokai will get to pick last. You're free to elaborate a bit on the features of your base keeping within the base's theme.

The field is littered with graves and headstones, many of which are large enough to provide cover. In the center is a large tree. They say this tree holds unusual abilities. Exactly what these abilities are will have to be discovered through trial and error. But it's most certainly fighting in a battle royale to the death with four other people for.

Each base is blocked off by two massive gates, which can be magically opened by the psychic powers of the warlord who owns them or nonmagically opened by a hell of a lot of concentrated, sustained firepower. Neither base can be teleported, flown, or passed ethereally into. You can fly/teleport/pass ethereally out of your own base.

I get to pick the first unit every turn, but Fin gets first pick of base only? Correct or wrong?

I choose Serious Sam as my first unit. With an arsenal to match that of any third world country and a badass attitude, how could I not. He is equally effective against mobs of weak enemies as against those hard to kill bosses.

For my first pick, I choose the original Power Rangers. With their overdramatic psuedo-martial-arts, teamwork, and brightly colored costumes, they're...something.

I shall pick Lugia from the pokemon universe.

I'mma gonna pick Sam and Dean Winchester of Supernatural fame, they are resourceful, work well together and have a great working knowledge of how to kill things that go bump in the night/graveyard of sillyness. If both of them count as too much I'll just take Dean, he may not be as smart as Sam but I prefer his gung-ho attitude

Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private are my next unit.

For third unit, I will select an army of goombas and koopas. Not sure how many of those would be too much... 300? 150 koopas, 150 goombas? Too much, too little, just right?

I'd say 100 koopas, 200 goombas. They aren't THAT threatening after all. Especially since killing eight in a row means an extra life. *

My second choice will be a pack of Vvardenfell Cliff Racers. What's that? I've done that before? Aww.

For the third, I'll take Philip, from Penumbra. With his face-concealing hood and nearly crippling fear of spiders, how could I not take him?
He's got a glowstick that lasts forever in one hand, a pickaxe in the other, and a backpack of random adventuring supplies.

Okay, unit 2? Gary Gygax.

Unit 3? RUMBLEROAR!!! The magically talking lion wizard headmaster of Pigfarts (which in on mars).

Morgana and Kayle from League of Legends (LoL). They are sisters and all, even if they hate each other (this is one pick).

Then I'm going to pick Isaac Clarke from dead space 1 & 2 along with all his possible equipment and best suit.

In that case my second pick is... Perry the Platypus!

I'll use my third pick to get myself a group of mooks so I'll choose a big ol' bunch o' Kobolds. How many is up to the narrator to decide what is fair.

A group of seven succubi, as my next unit. If anybody thinks that's too much, let it be known now or forever hold his peace.

Napalm's company, as they are at the end of their adventure Which would mean we're dealing with around level 14 DnD 3.5 six man team, consisting of human sorcerer(Heronius Napalm V, esq), human druid(Marty McSuperfly), half orc wizard(Kruskrak Fairhair), elven bard(Pip Prancerson), half orc barbarian(Urggzob) and human monk(Clobberella). They are as inept as they come, but hell of amusing If anybody hasn't read the Let's play in question, I higly reccomend it

And for last pick this round... John McClane. With torn up undershirt and bloody feet, but still able to hand out one hell of buttkicking!

Pick four, to mirror the kobolds, is a ship of Spelljammer gnomes and their Giant Space Hamsters.


Pick five, Naija, Li, and her Dumbo Octopus. Because Sun Form is so not enough to see the Creator sneaking up on you.
And I suppose the other, less adorable pets also, so they don't feel excluded.

Pick six, let's go with Iris, of Luminous Arc. Steel is totally a classical style element.

5. 150 federation security officers and engineers armed with phasers (also called red-shirts).

6. 5 Worms.

Anyway, for my 4th unit I chose Acquisition's Incorporated.

Unit 5 will be 150 Fire Nation Soldiers from Avatar the Last Airbender.

Unit 6 will be Team BLU from Team Fortress 2.

Pick 4 - Red Team from Red vs Blue.

Pick 5 - Yossarian from Catch 22, never know when a guy whose whole life mission is to avoid dying may come in handy.

Pick 6 - Spike from Ace Ventura, monkey like that is just too damned clever to leave out.

A cadre of 75 genestealers. They are mooks, as far as Warhammer goes, but pretty powerful mooks nontheless.

Homer Simpsons, with unlimited supply of Duff. He is a force to be reckoned with, because, if nothing else, he can't be reasoned with, can't be predicted and can't be counted upon to do anything right.

I don't think it's the first time I've been picked either. I think Horngeek took me back in Insanowar 2.

But no, you don't get cool narrating powers if you pick me.
