Yeah, I never thought them all that scary, and some stories are downright cheesy... but it's not bad. A nice sense of dread and creepiness, in some spots.

Yeah, some of the Holder stories are creepy, others just a bit boring. However, rather then wanting to avoid mental institutions after reading them, I actually want to drive to the nearest one and ask to see one of the Holders. Guess I'm just weird.

Also, if I wasn't here, I'd probably be out with friends getting drunk, or whatever non-Autistic people in their late teens/early twenties do on weekends in Britain, and that doesn't appeal to me. Not to mention that my friends are college friends who stay in accomodation all week, travel by car/bus/train, or otherwise aren't in the village on weekends, whereas I live close enough to the college to walk there in five-ten minutes.

She wouldn't just go up to him and stab him with a syringe. She's not an idiot. And she won't be the one to give him the first half. I imagine it'll be Gordon, and it'll probably be a "Take it, or else" kind of thing.

Last I checked, Mouse did have a squad of robots, and this is a special case, as she's pretty much annoying Riv in every way possible. A shock collar, he would merely be very angry. However, trying to infect him with a virus in order to control him? That's a challenge.

And Wolfbane, it's still pretty obvious she's behind it. I mean, she was suggesting punishments, and he's paranoid, meaning he'll probably try and get vengeance even if Gordon does something else, just because there's a chance she was the one who suggested it.

Not really, he's been trying to get revenge on GLoG for years because he was told they're the reason he doesn't have a right hand. Going on crusades of vengeance without any idea if he's attacking the right person is the kind of thing he does. Point is, if Mouse keeps annoying Riv, he is going to get rid of her, either by driving her out of AMEN or by reducing her to a small pile of ashes.

Retaliation on Mouse or her few creations would result in her admistering the second half right away. Before leaving AMEN. As is, unless Gordon and the others agree to her terms, or provide very good replacements, she's likely going to leave, and probably be put into permadeadtime. She simply can't stay there with Riv like this. I know the Binary Toxin isn't a good offer, but you have to realize, she's seeing him as a threat to more than just her.

You know, Gordon's cure might restore Riv's arm. Then he might calm down somewhat as to not freak out about the virus.

Depends on what that cure is. His arm was hit by a localized apocalypse, and even grafting a new one on doesn't work. He'll probably put up with the virus in exchange for a new arm though, as he knows he can remove it.

And yes, I understand Mouse can't stick around unless Riv is controlled, but he can't exactly ignore her, as she destroyed half his army, tried to kill him, is now trying to control him, and is pretty much challenging him by using a virus. I'll try not to have Riv attack, unless it would be absolutely out of character for him to not do so, but if Mouse continues to annoy him, it will happen.

Just curious here... how has he been trying to get revenge for years when you haven't even been here for a year yourself? Yes, time in the Nexus is wonky, but... not that wonky, as far as plot lines are concerned. Doesn't make his desire for revenge any more or less legitimate. Just... fresher, I guess.

I always assumed characters age faster in the Nexus, so for him it's been a year or two. More specifically, I assumed the long amount of time when he was deadtimed was a year or so for him.

Funny, time always seems to travel slower in the NEXUS, if anything, since a single night can often take an entire week - but what time it is is simply different in different threads, not faster.

Well, considing that coud reverse death and keep a person alive forever, I think should be powerful enough to give his arm back. At least for a while, but the cure can be used again and again, so there should be no problem. Yes, Gordon would have to keep putting the virus in Riv, cause it would be powerful enough to fix that too, but I think Riv will be willing to do that to keep his arm.

Yeah... time doesn't travel that fast. Only children usually age fast, and that's just because playing a young child gets very boring very fast. Most PCs usually age at the same rate as the real world.

Yes, but really, I can't imagine all this stuff is taking place over a few days. Seriously, that would mean every other time you stepped out of your house you ended up having to kill a dragon. Riv spent a month or two of RL time in deadtime, during which he aged a few years. Call it a localized timeskip. I don't really see the problem, as it didn't affect anything but him.

Something really awesome happened today at work. Something that I never thought I'd do in a city, let alone at a U-Haul.

I got to pet a Timber Wolf.

A lady that came in to rent a truck had a pet Timber Wolf that took up the whole backseat of her PT Cruiser. The wolf was really nice.
