Hey Murkus? How does the half-elf know that Xifra has an Object? For that matter, how did Prometheus know the npc had an Object? Is there some sort of mechanism by which Objects make people aware of their location? (Object gps?)

The only method of that I know of is the Eyes, which Kirk had and Rebonack has now.

Well, obviously they read this forum and check the list of Objects and their owners.

Nah, Prometheus has been running constant searches for Objects online, and the npc was stupid enough to boast he had one.

And also, no. Though I imagine there are magical means to detect Objects.

Nah, I can't imagine it'll work more then once, maybe twice. Certainly, finding other Objects that way is going to be a lot harder, and take much more time. Prometheus is mainly interested in finding Objects that will improve him physically or mentally, which is why he's desperate to find the Holder of the Muse and the Holder of Quintessence.

I'm not sure the objects work like that - each one has its own difficult method of obtaining it listed. It kind of cheapens the eldritch horror if you can gank an npc and grab one.

True, which is why I don't plan on doing it often. In fact, this will probably be the last time, because, as you said, if you're killing npcs and taking their Objects every Saturday, it does kind of ruin the whole idea.

Hmm...I want something simple, but symbolic to paint on my space marine's shoulders...
Well, they are a salamanders successor chapter. I could just go out and buy some salamanders stickers...

aren't there decals in the box with them?

and I think forgeworld sells some awesome salamanders shoulder pads

but I'd only use the top ones. I love the normal crux terminatus.

My favorite is the Forgeworld Keeper of Secrets. Looks a lot better than the GW one.

Amusingly enough many of the Objects wouldn't do a whole lot for Rebonack. Using them would either be impossible or impractical.

I get the feeling I need a new character. otherwise, Din is just going to start popping up EVERYWHERE...

I tried that to keep plot clones from happening.
It didn't work all that well.

My sister used to collect Space Marines. I can't remember the name of thier Chapter, and she stopped after painting a squad and a Razorback so we don't have any copy of an army book, but each marine had a unique colour scheme; the squad was united by spots and the tank was blotches of everything. They looked almost as though they were Slaaneshi, but slightly less uniform and, if possible, slightly brighter. Especially the sergeant who had a patch of armour painted in the design of every one of his squad-mates. Although I think the worst was titilating pink; regretably, I can't remember what colour his spots were. Their chapter symbol was a ; even that colour.

I collected tyrannids similarly, but only because I couldn't decide on a colour scheme, don't enjoy the painting as much as the rest of the hobby and most of my second-hand models were better painted than I could do anyway. I now collect Orks, but they're mainly the old Hunnish type that I don't really like, and I haven't made any in ages.
