I have yet to see a character who's just a normal person without even trying. Not strangely average, like in Idiocracy, just...normal.
No powers.
No weapons.
No amazing skills.

I don't think Ilyena qualifies for that.... Seeing as he can alter reality.

As for normal characters, I have Sol, Malis, and Magnio. Sol is brutally scarred, stutters, and has major issues with vampires. Malis is overweight, doesn't like talking to people, and Magnio...... Magnio is the God of Pathetic Failure.

Ilyena's a down-to-earth, very much straight, slightly pudgy guy in his mid 40s with no significant personality problems. He just happens to have ultimate arcane power. TechnoScrabble didn't say anything about ultimate arcane power in his first post.

Chumley's a completely mundane human with no supernatural qualities whatsoever aside from being an okay shot and rather good at hitting things with crowbars, but she had practice. I still think that should count.

Actually...for some reason, I want to create a small squad of soldiers trained for hit and run missions who get lost in the Nexus and try to recruit some of the inhabitants.

This may have something to do with the fact I just got back from Megacon and was dressed like an Imperial Guard Death Korps Veteran Sergeant with a shotgun and power fist.

Well, I Dunno. It's not something I have much interest in RPing, so I don't really bother making it a defining aspect of my characters.

I can undeadtime Ilyena if anyone wants to hit up NOIR again, but Chumley's either gonna get permadeadtimed or go through some IC dramaz concerning her failure as a Magtern; it'd make for interesting RP, but it's not something I've been in the mood to tackle recently. It'll prolly happen, though.

What you mean is Sapience, which is typically considered the ability to act with judgement and wisdom and such. Basically, human-level intelligence or higher.

Just a point of advice.

I sent Rebonack up against the Consumer because I wanted to get a feel for what the invaders of this apocoplawt are capable of. He's a pretty strong PC. Certainly stronger than average. Very durable and extremely resourceful. A natural warrior.

It took him a bit of effort to kill the thing.

And it was able to breach his armor, too.

I doubt most PCs in the Nexus would stand a chance against your bottom rung infant Consumers, let alone those with more experience and armed with heavy weapons. Considering what their light weapons can do.

If you want your plawt to be taken seriously I would suggest scaling back your invaders a bit so that the average PC would be able to stand against them. Not everyone is a living Disjunction outfitted with modular artifact armor forged in the foundries at the heart of Mechius.
