And that baby was carrying a stronger breed of bio-rifle. The basic ones just fire spikes at about the muzzle velocity of your normal gun. And you didn't exactly make it hard to breach the armor. Also, the consumers are like a sort of elite class. They serve as advance soldiers and bodyguards to the actual race that created them.

The thing about newborn consumer's is that they're easy to kill. Did you see what happen when you hit it? Not pretty.

Uh, quick note about the armor breaching?

I believe you described them as plasma-acid combos traveling at hypersonic speeds. Sounds like it could melt a tank like one big roll of napkins, to be perfectly honest.

Still, I'd tone it down just a little. At least for lower power characters. Prometheus for instance is designing an Infinite Voltage Taser, and he's certainly not going to object to getting to test out his new Object, so feel free to throw a higher powered alien at him.

Most plasma doesn't actually do all that much damage.
It's the ionizing and the hot plasma that really screws stuff up. And like I said, that was one of the better bio-rifles. Most are no better than your average gun.

And in my defense, the consumer was shot at with a coil gun with the power of a DC style railgun.

It's not like everything's going to be fully grown consumers with heavy weaponry, yeesh.

Of course...depending on how the Landing plot goes, there may be more or less of these bug aliens and their plants, and there may be some other races involved. Also, perhaps a space battle.

Think of them as civilized tyrannids, but weaker and without psychic abilities. It'd be entirely possible to convince them to ally themselves with the Acromynian Empire and trade their resources, bio-tech, and other advances for some breeding grounds.

You could always give them those elven or Felinian lands you've been wanting to get rid of.

It can be hot. It can also be freezing cold. Depends on how you make it. Heat is the most common natural method of ionizing the material so that it becomes plasma, but lasers and radiation work well, too.

Really? I always though that heat was always there when plasma was made. Like, made through any method, then gives off heat as the energy dissipates.

And excited plasma lights and runners would explode!
And lightning would be much, much hotter than it is!

Cessie was ambushed by the Butler impersonator and killed. He had anti-magic and anti-tech devices too, as well as a flamethrower so no one could stop him. All it would have taken is one big strong (fireproof) guy with a hammer, and it could have been prevented. Alas, WATCHTOWER has no such members.

Technoscrabble, I think you missed the Encyclopede investigating the Overgrown Street. It's taking samples and notes, and it's accompanied by three Tau drones (two gun drones, one shield drone) for security purposes.
