Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
Beautiful.
I might try a variant of that one.
Whilst I'm doing youtube links - I found an official playlist of highlights for the Eddie Izzard's Marathon Man documentary (it ran over 3 nights, in a late night slot with few advertisements compared to "similar" stunts for the charity - then it cropped up repeatedly in printed press very close to the air time both before and after. Dude ran 43+ marathons in something like 70 days with no notable prior "extreme running" experience ate junk food most nights. Heck of a lot of stories here. His training team were furious with him half the time 'cause he just wanted to stop to do crazy things like buy an icecream for everyone who came out to see him and visit every tourist attraction he passed, there seemed to be genuine concern he was gonna end up getting himself run over/give himself a coronnery/ collapse from burning the candle at both ends. It was really interesting to watch him and to watch people's reactions to him...
Force of nature personality, iz Izzard.

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
No, most of it is stuff you do instinctively. The way you smile. The ways your pupils contract and dilate when you get emotional. The way you lean in closer or shy away from various objects. The rest is largely intensely personal to me.
The small remainder is fairly simple stuff. Touch upper arm, shoulder, mid back, particularly when initiating conversation or giving directions. Contact with hands should be light (1-3 seconds with brushing rather than firm pressure). Deep tones in voice, if possible lean in near ear when speaking. Avoid violent words where possible (fight, crush, etc.). Eye contact should be established, held briefly, then broken with a downwards glance and/or smile on greeting, then re-established periodically during conversation. Etc. Etc.
Now please leave me alone I'm trying to mope.

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
EDIT: missed this:
Why are you moping? (did I miss something? other than a whole page of posts when I first made this post?)

Great, now every Valentine's is going to turn into who can mail Serp (er... slerp?) the best gift.
Great sentiment, but will anything come of it?
That might sound like it doesn't mean much for her to be a fan of you, but I think she's really genuine in her fandomness - it impresses me that she has so much enthusiasm for people.

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
My probably not a date was totally not a date. And he's being cool about it. Which hurts way more. Every time someone turns me down or breaks up with me, they tell me that they're flattered or if they swung that way they would be all over me or that someday someone will be really lucky to have someone as awesome as me. AND I HATE IT! [/rant]

I have a feeling I know what you mean. It almost feels like they're just trying to make you feel better and like they're treating you like porcelain?

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
Uproot your life to move to California and be prepared for an endless stream of flirting while I rebuild my self confidence enough to ask you out? [/stupid creepy self absorbed joke]
Or did you mean sane things you could do? Because I don't have any sane suggestions. The general support here in my favorite playground does help though. I'm feeling much less mopey than a couple of hours ago, so thanks.

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
I kinda just uprooted my life to move halfway across the country, so that's not going to happen. You're welcome to move to vancouver and subject me to an endless stream of flirting, though.
As for more "sane" things I could do, I'll just let you know you're always welcome to PM me if you want to talk/vent/etc. about something.

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
Tell you what, I ever move to vancouver I'll call you up and flirt shamelessly with you, my little xe-devil, much to the anger of whatever fine man/woman/other you've ensnared. In the meantime, I'll drop you a line if I need some help.

What are you sniggering about?
Also, just for that I'm sending you a literal white elephant next valentines. Anyone know Australia's import-export laws as pertain to livestock over several tons?

Sadly, I don't have any. There was no link posted, just the quote.

Re: LGBTAitp - Part Thirteen
You make intelligent posts with great force, standing up for your beliefs. I don't always agree with you but I don't think you've ever posted something I went "That's just stupid" about. And from the pictures you've posted, you look good - which is not unimportant. So, yeah, little crush here.
