Yeh, the action is used, but the target is no longer there, so the attack is invalid. Since there's no 'travel time,' the jaunt has to happen before the attack actually occurs, and it was targeted directly at Cinder instead of at the square.

I have listed to it a little, though it didn't impress me that far yet. Though that may be because what I wished for something with the same approach as The White and The Mantle. When I listen to those I'm just caught in their mood, Marrow was somehow less captivating

And yeah, great match. I finally got some very very delayed revenge for Bobhorst. Heh, remembering that build compared to Cinder and the like... What a total pansy he was
Why'd you make an aggressive move though without Fist of Stone first? Didn't you expect me to cast See Invisibility right away?

Well, two reasons. One being that the whole Invis/See Invis question is a bit of a mindgame thing; if I choose to cast it, either we both waste an action or I gain an advantage. I could assume you'll cast it just to be safe, but you might assume that I'll assume that and not waste the action...

The second, more obvious reason is just that Fist of Stone doesn't help much against Cinder, since melee attacks are pretty much completely futile and the strength bonus doesn't apply to damage from weapon attacks. And once we were engaged, I didn't want to flee and give you the advantage. Really, I think my main mistake there was just forgetting how Jaunt worked and exposing myself.

well, I just couldn't take the risk. You only lose an action with the invisibility, and if I don't counter I'm done.

Best bet for you may have been getting more daggers and multiple Blades of Fire; just put all other spells on a scroll. Ranged attacks are harder to jaunt from, you may very well have pelted me to death before I get through your mirror squad

ah, the explanation was actually given in Neverending Battlefield where Cinders first incarnation came from. It's actually short for Cinderella, a name she she was mocked with as a child. Until she shortened her name by two syllables and her mockers by... well, whatever the height difference between a person and a pile of ashes is. Then she got convicted to fight to the death in an arena, which she actually quite enjoys because the only thing better than burning people is burning people while a crowd cheers at it.

It may be a stupid piece of backstory, but a fitting one for a little pyro girl

edit: while updating the sheet I noticed a misstype in age. That was supposed to be 18, not 28. For Azurins, that would be medium age, meaning the given stats would be wrong. Gonna fix it, luckily the mistake happened with something that doesn't really matter
