So, my cousin was playing Portal 2 single player for the first time and got into the first test with turrets. After knocking over several turrets by portaling cubes, he found one turret where the only portal surface was underneath it. So he opened a portal above him, put a portal under the turret, and it fell through and bounced around spraying bullets everywhere.
This is where it landed in the end.

Yes, it landed back on its feet and reactivated. Fortunately, it was facing the wall, so he decided just to leave it in the corner as punishment for shooting him.
