[Jinglebelle]

I really like drawing in the OotS style, so I decided to try my hand at writing a fancomic. It starts out with a half-elf named Troy trying to get an adventuring party together, and if he's successful, they'll go on some quests. I hope you guys like it.

Nice bold characters, like the background shading on the big intro panel. Will keep an eye on this one.

The art is pretty gorgeous, in a simple sort of way.

Also, that punchline flowed really well. I'm liking the main character already, he reminds me of Guybrush Threepwood and other losers men of destiny with that classic, dramatic sigh and all. Fun

Looks nice but:
The single-coloured-square houses look wierd.
Some of it looks pixelated, what program are you using, at what side did you upload it.
He looks a lot like the elf from anti-heroes.

I'm glad you guys like it, for the most part .
I know that the circles and some other things are a rough, I'll make them smoother in the next comic, which I'll try to have up by friday.
I based some of Troy's (the elf) character design off of Andil, but I think that's as far as the similarities go. I don't think I'm revealing too much if I say that Troy is one of the main protagonists, so I really want him to be less of a jerk than Andil. Comet, I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "man of destiny," but that sounds like an accurate description of Troy .

P.S. The female character's name is Lena. She can't raise one eyebrow, possibly due to her abysmal wisdom score. I did not intend for her art to be such a blatant copy of Haley, but she came out that way.

I think next time I am going to make them using paths, rather than selections, so that should be better.

I switched to creating speech bubbles out of paths, and it works so much better! I just ended my first two sentences with exclamation points, that's enough perkiness for this post.
Next, I'm going to work on a banner.

Word bubbles are getting better, but the backgrounds still look a bit blurry, and the words themselves don't look like they belong. I suggest playing around with the different fonts you can use, sometimes they can make all of the difference.

Also thanks for the idea of making the word bubbles out of paths. That is going to make my job of creating fancomics or anything with words much easier.

The backgrounds are blurry because I apply a blur filter. I was thinking about stopping that, and now I definitely will.

I see what you mean, the heads are too thick and not quite round. Fixing this is going to require an overhaul of my sprite art. I think it will take me about a week, but then I will figure out a regular update schedule.

Cyrus was initially a rogue, but he switched to ranger one he and Lena joined up. I wanted to mention it here since it will probably never come up in the comic proper. Also, the characters are playing a homebrew that allows rangers to cast spells using int rather than wis, as high-int, low-wis characters are generally entertaining.
Ok, now I'm going to make a banner.

It looks wonderful. The Font for the text is looking better suited to it as well. And not blurring the background looks better in my opinion. A wonderful fancomic and cannot wait for more.

I liked the blurred backgrounds more. Gave the whole thing a unique feel and the current backdrop looks a bit jagged, though that might be just the particular desing and not a case of pixels shining through as I initially thought. Oh well, good stuff in any case.
