Shimmer glanced guiltily at the story she'd been writing before Celestia had tied her up.

"Oh, not you too!" Celestia cried. "That's the weirdest - not even in the same episode - urgh, just wait here, okay? I'll be back."

And the Princess of the Sun spread her wings and flew away, leaving Shimmer hanging upside-down from the tree she'd been tied too.

When she'd gotten into the slashfic business, Shimmer reflected, she hadn't expected her most useful skill to be the ability to chew through a ball gag.

Shortly afterwards, Celestia crashed through the window into the room with Metal Mask and Trixie!

"Mask! I should have known it was - mmph," Celestia said as she TOTALLY MADE OUT with Trixie, "- you! Prepare to meet your - mm - end!"

"Oh, Princess Celestia!" said Trixie.

"Oh, Great and Powerful Trixie!" said Celestia.

"I am a totally legitimate writer, don't judge me," said Mask.

"OKAY FINE" Celestia said. She immediately cast a spell to merge Darkmyst with her own shadow and switched back to cheesy romantic novel dialogue.

"Oh, Darkmyst, thou art the shadow of the sun and the one thing She cannot attain! How ist the one aspect of the Sun that entrances Her the one she must, by nature, destroy? Kiss me now!" She proceeded to kiss her own shadow.

"Hey, you're good at this," Mask points out.

"Shut up," Celestia said, spitting, "And do you clean your floor, like, ever?"

"Nah. Effort."

"The moment you stop shipping me it's straight to the moon, you know."

Ah, but the moment he stops shipping Celestia, he gets banished to the moon. So, it all depends on whether or not he's willing to ship Apple Bloom with Celestia; I'm betting that's a line he isn't willing to cross. I fully expect him to do something creative to get around this. This will be a win for me, as I expect it to be rather entertaining.

I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I had wanted to ask your permission, but could never find you online, and by the time I did I didn't want to spoil the surprise. While I was assembling that monstrosity of a post, I just couldn't think of a better "oh my god" face. And so it was that Silver Lining was introduced to Equestria Daily.
