Marley finishes cooking, and walks over carrying a plate stacked with pancakes.

"Want some?"

Quinn chuckles. And nods.
"Well, I certainly know that. I'd like to think I'm making some progress, at least..."
Give or take a couple of kamikaze runs on AMEN, of course.

From what I've heard, he can be... overzealous. He believes atrocities are justified as long as the caue is just, she says carefully. That reminds her of rumors about a Hunter Creed that's even more extreme than Avengers because its members go incurably insane and end up causing massive collateral damage in relentless pursuit of monsters.

Quinn sighs. "And the sad part is that you can almost see his point sometimes, even though you can't possibly accept it?" she asks, shaking her head. "But...yeah. I'm kinda trying to work that out of him. He keeps putting off my suggestion for a vacation so he can relax and not have to worry about things though."
She rambles a bit when she's sleepy.

"Sure! Thanks, Mr. Marley."
Jamie smiles politely, and goes to take a seat at the table.

Deadtime ooze recedes...

A young girl comes stumbling out of the trees and blinks in surprise at the camp before her. It's Becca, finally free from the accursed deadtime ooze.

Becca can be best described as a tomboy. She has fair skin, shoulder length, brown hair pulled back in a ponytail, and green eyes. She wears a pair of too big cargo shorts, a black tshirt with a picture of a pokeball on it, a pair of sturdy hiking boots with bright, pink socks peeking out of them, and a red baseball cap.

"Haven't seen this place." She muses to herself it seems. That is, before a shroomish comes out of the underbrush behind her. The girl bends down to pat the pokemon and check a couple scrapes on her bare legs. "Let's check it out."

And with that, the girl and her pokemon stride into the camp proper.

Sophie considers it. I would perhaps advise you to be more forceful about the suggestion... but I don't think it would work. He would probably think about the very important things he's not doing all the while. And personally, I think his methods are an easy way out. Kill them all so we don't have to worry anymore. That's... lazy.

Marley hands a fork over to Jamie, and goes to get the syrup.

"Your'e welcome."

Toby makes a slightly belated entrance and points an accusing finger at Sophie. You accuse me of currently believing genocide is acceptable? Well I accuse you of ignorance! And let me tell you, the death penalty for the one would be better applied to the other. Recant your perjurious statement, my lady, or I shall be forced to challenge you to a duel on the Field of Honor, which is adjacent to the Field of Volleyball by the beach!

"...how about a volleyball duel instead?" Quinn suggests, giggling in a way that suggests she could really use more sleep before the pink elephants go on parade, as she smiles at her husband at his sudden appearance!


[Main Cabin]

Jamie, Marley will find, doesn't wait for the syrup before she starts eating.

Sophie turns around and glares at Tobias. I'm afraid that in the Hunter, the druid might have just found someone as stubborn and unrelenting as he is.
So you deny using genocide as a way of dealing with a nation ran by gods you percieved as "Evil"?

Marley smiles as he sits down and begins to eat.

"You like them?"

That is what I did in the past, I am ashamed to admit. Toby smiles back at his wife, then calmly stares at Sophie. However, you used the present tense before. I realize now that what I did was morally wrong, Evil as hell, and absolutely not the way I want to live anymore. Which is kinda why I signed up for redemption in the first place.

Sophie's gaze softens a little. I see. I seem to have been misinformed or misinterpreted the information... if that's the case.

Quinn smiles brightly, and watches the impending verbal duel!
Part of her mind (the part that isn't in sleep-zombie mode) is telling her she should sell tickets.
...or maybe not.

"They're really good! Thanks for making them," Jamie says - after swallowing a mouthful of pancake.

"Glad you like them."

Marley takes another bite of pancakes.

"So, are your parents around?"

[Infirmary]

Right. Well, that was all in my past. There's no call to be holding it over me or rubbing my face in it. The Druid shrugs and dismissively turns away from Sophie and walks up to Quinn.

Zamira, incidentally, is currently swimming in the lake.

...as a dolphin.

[Morty]

[Infirmary]

And now Toby went and got Sophie worked up again.
If it was all in the past, you wouldn't be here desiring redemption, would you? It has to hang above the present in some way. And I'm trying to help, not "rub it in your face", Mr. Druid.

And Shrike, incidentally, is currently sitting on the edge of the lake!

Quinn stands, smiles at Toby, and goes to wrap her arm around his waist.
"Hey, handsome."
Sophie gets a polite smile afterwards. Clearly, she's under his spell!

"Yeah, they're in the Infirmary together right now," Jamie tells Marley - making a face as she does so.

Marley sighs. Well, that means that they wouldn't want him coming in.

"I see."

[Infirmary]

I was referring to my darker days when I actually thought that being Evil to fight Evil was a good idea. That is all in the past. I do not believe that now and I will not believe it in the future. I will learn from my mistakes, of course, and ensure that it will never happen again, but if you are going to persist in accusing me of believing "atrocities are justified as long as the caue is just"... then I'm afraid I will have to challenge you to a duel. Or sue you for slander and defamation of character or whatever else the people of your culture do to someone who is making up lies. Toby glares at her coldly, returning Quinn's hug without taking his eyes off the other woman.

"What is it? Maybe I can help or something?" Jamie asks brightly.


[Infirmary]

"But then you'd have to sleep on the couch, dear," Quinn states matter-of-factly. Making the Threat of Doom!

"Well, I have an idea that I want to propose, but your parents are going to be busy for a while."

Marlet takes another bite of pancakes.

[horngeek]

And, eventually, Zamira swims up to her! "Hey, love."

[Morty]

[Infirmary]

As fascinating as the thought of dueling you might be, I'm afraid I don't have the time. Sophie puts her hands on her hips, meeting Tobias glare with a glare of her own. I'm not going to persist in accusing you of anything. I want to help you in your redemption process, but I can't do it if you don't let me.

"Oh? What sort of idea?" Jamie asks, pondering a second plate, with blueberry syrup!

"Hey yourself, Lunar mine." Shrike grins, laying on her front on a towel. "Looks like you were having a good time out there."

Hush, honey, I'm trying to be dramatic. He still doesn't take his eyes off of Sophie. Well, I'm glad we've reached this understanding then. You can leave now.

"Well, I was thinking of having a little shop in the city. Making pancakes and stuff, and selling it cheaply. That way it helps people out and makes some more money for GLoG."

[Morty]

Hush, honey, I'm trying to be dramatic. He still doesn't take his eyes off of Sophie. Well, I'm glad we've reached this understanding then. You can leave now.

Sophie does in fact take her eyes off Tobias and looks at Quinn.
Does he treat everyone trying to actually work with him about redemption this way?

Zamira transforms back to foxgirl, and hops up onto the shore, currently in a bikini. "Yep! You look like you're having fun sunbathing, yourself."

Oddball does burrow into the pot of soil. If there's too much soil, it may be messy. Oddball's five head-leaves twitch occasionally, without much recourse to the wind.

Forest's Edge

Natalie gets furrier during the hug, as well as smaller, growing a tail, losing her thumbs (she's a spider monkey) and her hair changes from black to brown, as well as shortening to the length of her fur. Eventually Natalie jumps away and scrambles up the tree she was looking at earlier, climbing adroitly with her hands, feet and tail. She'll sit on a low branch, and pat the wood next to her as she watchs Brinika.
