Hm. Thing is, as Dorizzit said, he had that "don't hear me" field up. How did Ken and them hear them when Yoko couldn't? Maybe the groups nearly collide in the hall, and Ken and them start running after them, and explanations are exchanged?

He shifts the group over, out of the way of the doorway and against a wall.

"Alright, one second."

Nakahiro reaches into his pocket, and withdraws a 1¥ coin from his pocket. He ignites his abilities, and the coin glows particularly brightly.

"We can talk about anything; the other students will interpret our conversation as being completely normal, based on what they expect to hear."

Hm, a group of children assembling in front of the school who really should be in class, even if their teacher is late. How interesting.

@Strawberry: can you post for Carina in the Mortal world thread? I've been waiting for her to go off with her mother. Plus, if you do that, Mayumi can go see what's gotten into the children. After all, helping is a teacher's job...

Actually, what I plan to do is to have Mayumi just ask what's happening, and not actually interfere. She does have a class to teach. However, this will start her worrying about training the kids even more, setting up for the opening of the Samsara arc.

I've also mentioned that Rex is planning on skipping out of school to start looking, and Quincy have their wonderful Reiraku tracking that can help like nobody's business. This would also let him meet the other kids.

I'm waiting for the other kids to respond, honestly. However, Mayumi is going to reveal that she knows about spiritual matters very soon. After all, her pesquisa-like reiatsu sense has informed her that all the assembled kids have powers and know how to use them, due to their refined reiatsu, so she'll be showing and telling soon. Perhaps by shooting at Rex, if he doesn't show himself soon.

In hindsight the two kids with the scariest powers in the group are probably the worst choices.

Well, Valeria doesn't know any better, she's not trying to intimidate Mayumi, she's trying to bridge the gap as it were.

On second thought, though, if it would cause problems I could always change it.

Well. If we can get them in a scene where there's not an external stress factor, that will help. I mean, what do you expect from him right now?

Perhaps the training scenes in the future can provide this.

Take the form of a wakizashi. When released, it takes the form of a 12-inch tanto. Every time the weapon strikes the opponent, the opponent (but not any equipment they have) shrinks by 15% of its current size, and the weapon grows by 20% of its current size. The attack will shrink an opponent even if it is blocked by armor, but if it is blocked by something away from the body (such as a weapon or shield) the weapon or shield will shrink instead. Only one target can be shrunk at any item, and the growing and shrinking effects cease after 15 hits, leaving the weapon at 15 feet long and the target at 8.5% of their original size. Every time the shikai is forced to block an attack, the enemy's weapon gets restored by one size and the blade becomes smaller.

so...someone can only block this weapon with another weapon 15 times before it is 8.5% the size it started?

15 blocks is not a lot...

i like the first part...as it requires the striek to land on the opponent...but i dont liek that it works even when being blocked...

i believe when discussing my shikai and bankai powers...peopel had a problem that somethign happened without any ability to counter it

like i said..i llike the orignality of the first part of the idea...but the second part seems to make it unfair... if ya just go off and start strikeing fast just to get blocks quick...you would basically win within 15 strikes...

i just dont like when an attack is blocked by another zanpaktuo that somethign happens...two "souls" shoudl be equal when in combat...

in essence there is no way to block the effects of that zanpaktuo's ability...retreat or "winning first" are not really valid blocks IMO...at least with how other abilities have been discussed here in this group

(i know this is similar to Kira Izura's ability...but its not like we do everything to the extent that the canon does...as i and others have been reminded of)

anyways...cool idea though
