It's because Sora's gotten confirmation from Kaito that they should start over, not everyone else.

It seems Sora cooled down and finally got the point Yui tried to get across in Ep. 6 - namely, doing things no-one's taught you to handle is idiocy. So he's grumpy because it finally dawned to him that what he's gotten himself mixed up in might not be exactly wise.

It has been a long time since to talk about plot of mortal world students maybe I think.

Because I am confused, can it be discussed? What is the purpose of this mission? Of course to rescue the victims. But for 'narrative' what is the purpose?

I thought the purpose was to introduce more characters to each other and have them gain the experience of working together. In addition it gave any characters that were intended to be mentors to the kids another reason/prompt to do so. It also gives the kids another reason to want to stick together and train together.

Essentially what nothingclever said. In my mind, there are 2 main narrative purposes.

1.)The kids get introduced to a slightly widened circle of people with abilities, and they all start working together.
2.)They get to test and expand their abilities, with the risk to friends and family driving a desire to not lose their fights and such.

As a personal bonus, it gives Hasunaga a reason to break his personal oath not to get involved and/or to train the children.

Her shooter shoots ceros, she maneuvered her freefall to point her hands downwards. She's channeling it through her watch/arm shooter, but releasing it at full power.

Angelo is a good guy who thinks Sora is Hollow-possessed and thus needed to have an eye kept on. At first Angelo thinks Sora is luring a group of school children to eat but now he eavesdropped enough to know that is not the case. And that Sora with his friends are actually going to hunt Hollows. At this point Angelo decides to secretly tail this group and render any assistance if he can without blowing his cover.

Aya is cutting Aura's shadow, and by proxy Aura, not cutting her directly. However, quite frankly, attacking her in the air is really pretty eminently doable for a shinigami.

Angelo seems to fit well into the SWORD mold, which is "well-intentioned extremist". Which, yes, makes them villains, but it's a bit less simplistic than that.

Yes and no. The person directed the Hollows is a SWORD agent...But I'm pretty sure SWORD didn't order this to happen. He's doing it on his own, I think.

This is absolutely right, and it needs to be emphasized: The kids are supposed to win this one on their own.

I'm still debating whether Kina will be using her powers at this point. It seems highly unnecessary given the amount of firepower there already is.

Also, Terry: Just because they can't fly doesn't mean they can't jump really high. I mean, Ichigo and Byakuya were pretty high above the ground many times during their fight.

Additionally to Terry and Edge: Let me know when you want Armin to finally arrive and tell them that the group is leaving. Don't want to cut off any fights.

The quarry is not in the Seireitei. Within the confines of a well-designed Sekkisekki defensive perimeter, it is indeed impossible to airwalk; properly shaped, it created a spherical barrier to that sort of thing. The mouth of an open Sekkisekki quarry is not a well-designed Sekkisekki defensive perimeter.

And I didn't say anything about airwalking, though Goro's frequent formation of reishi floors should be indicative of my belief that airwalking is possible; a shinigami is capable of jumping to great heights even without airwalking. I assumed that you had her use Cero because it might be faster for her than airwalking.

Finally, physical attacks are not spiritual assaults; they are kinetic energy being delivered to the enemy. The suit is a good option for avoiding the effects of direct High Hakuda techniques, or other energy directed straight at Aura, but simply striking with increased force via channeling of one's spiritual energy through one's own body would not be negated by a spiritual armor.

I'll edit the previous post to include dodging the Balas.

As for whether you are wearing a suit or not, and whether you can endure more pain or not doesn't matter. Aya has seen how you fired your Ceros, she's going to remove them.

As for how she did it, well, you're in mid-air, in the middle of the day. Your shadow will be nicely on the ground. Aya just made it sure that she can score Aura's wrists easily.

Angelo's role in this has been explained. Hasunaga's role in this is one of hindsight: the children will be going through substantial danger at this point. It's not going to be an easy win by any stretch of the imagination - they will probably get injured in the process. Because Hasunaga considers himself responsible for their well-being in spiritual matters, he'll probably be training them after this is over. He'll realize that he can't be everywhere to protect them, and sometimes they'll need to fight their own battles - and when they do, they'll need to win. Even though this means getting them further involved with the spirit world instead of shielding them from it.

It only just now dawned on me that Sayuri effortlessly busted a forbidden kido without even an incantation and without any knowledge of the aforementioned spell's properties. Now I'm not one to throw a fit over such things, but that does strike me as being something of an odd scenario.

Are you wondering of the time she broke Yuuta's Jikanteishi...? Sayuri is familiar with that particular Kido, and she took her time to examine it's qualities (at least half a minute, considering her speech to Yuuta). She also did us an incantation - it was "Footprints on the riverbed; crushing sands of time; stream that washes away sins of life; resume your flow! Hanki!"

If you're referring to some other occasion, I think you need to clarify which one.
