Elden gathers together firewood and build up the bonfire to a respectable, and puts all the tainted meat in a pile next to it, ready to burn it.

Ok, Elden makes a decent bonfire. Hooray. You can tell that your captives are a little concerned about your obvious intent.

Juniper approaches the captive elves and sits beside them, attempting to make some polite conversation. "I'm sorry my friends jumped you like that. We really didn't mean harm to anyone. Things just got a little tense..."

Just a note, I'm going to assume Teodor organized things so that the prisoners are sorta seperated from each other.

For a moment, the elves say nothing to you, but eventually one of them says "Yha..I guess. I'm not surprised you did though"

You can tell that his voice is slightly echoy, crackling somewhat like fire.

How fascinating. The prisoner says 'Yha' just like LaLa does.

Yes yes, that's certainly not because I'm all the NPCs

Anyway, Bast, you notice that the Eladrin prisoner is mumbling something, but you are not sure what exactly. You'd have to do a perception check, or walk closer to him, to figure out what.

Does he have any weapons? Tell me if I need to roll again.

No one disarmed them, so yha he still has his longsword in his sheath.

Are his arms tied? Any way he could attack me at all?

His arms are tied up, yes, so yo'd imagine he couldn't attack you.

Bast moves closer to the Eladrin.

He looks up at you, and stops mumbling.

Bast is going to stay near him.

Teodor snorts an almost-laugh as he realizes they still have their weapons, then sets about disarming them.

[LaZodiac]

You disarm them fairly well, untill you get to the Eladrin. Once you are within one square of him, You see his eyes glow bright white, and feel a sort of pressure around you as the Eladrin seems to collapse in on himself. Suddenly the pressure reverses, and you feel a hot air push at you, possibly even hurting you, and the Eladrin vanishes in a puff of black and red smoke that smells of brimstone. He has used his Fey Step power!

Teodor: (1d20+5)[24] vs your Fortitude

(1d6+5)[8] fire damage if it hits. No matter if it hits or misses, you are pushed back one square and knocked prone.

I'm working on the assumption that Bast was not adjacent to him, so she is not included in the attack.

What does knocked prone mean? Is he unconscious?

Knocked prone means he is now laying on the ground. Basically, it's being knocked over.

As the Eldarin teleports, Carric draws his falchion and looks around to see where he could have went.

(You say I don't see him, but should I make a Perception check anyways? Maybe I can hear him?)

Yes, you can totally make a perception check. When I say you can't see something, that's going off your passive perception.

I'd like you to do an Athletics check, Bast. He has gotten quite far away, and to your well trained eyes you can tell he is quite familiar with these woods, so you'd need an Athletics check to catch up. Additionaly, roll a strength check (which is just 1d20+your strength modifier) so that if you do catch up to him, we'll see if you can take him down.

You're Str modifier is a +1. The 11 is your score, and what your score is influences your modifier.

Also, I find it funny your screwed up roll was the same as your actually roll XP

Anyway, you rush after him and feel as if you could take him down. Roll that Str check, my friend.

You dive at the Eladrin, but he avoids you! However, you feel something touch your finger as you get close to him, and grab it from his belt. He doesn't break his stride, and you fall face first into the ground. In the palm of your hand, however, is a key.

Teodor sprints after Bast, assuming she saw the Eladrin, and similarly attempts to accost him.
