Seeing as the creature decided to rudely interrupt her nap, Icy decided the next best thing is in order. Drowning herself in rootbeer in a futile attempt to quell this infernal headache.

I'm very sorry that Scarlet Flair is your friend, but there was nothing further that I could have done. When someone believes that there should be a mission, the idea for the mission is discussed by a board of 9 ponies. I myself am on the board, and my vote counts as much as everyone else's, but it carries more weight behind it. One day, the idea brought forth was that a pony by the name Scarlet Flair was getting dangorous, and needed to be eliminated. The evidence of such was that she was a unicorn, that figured out how to make her own thermal winds by using fire magic, allowing her to fly just as well as any pegasus. I voted that we shouldn't have to kill her. But, I was out voted. When I brought up the subject to the other board members, they said that it was also quite dangorous of how well she is able to preform such feats of fire magic. Then, the order to kill her cycled through the top 10 best fighters. I'm at the top of this list. Fighters 6-10 were still recovering from a different mission, and were automatically removed from the choices. Then, Fighters 3-5 were still in the infirmary for Food Poisoning. That left me, and Fighter #2, who's name was Cecila. She was also pregnent, and I bet you can guess who had to do the mission. I couldn't back out of it, without letting down ever single subordinate I had. It wasn't so much of a matter of pride, I'm not proud of what I almost had to do, it was the matter that I couldn't back out. If I did, I let down every subordinate I had, and I would be declared unfit for duty, and removed from Celestia's Resistance. The Stallion who would become the next leader is just some hotshot rookie who doesn't even want the princesses to have a chance to try to make up. He just wants to merge them right away, before we even perfect the process.

If you'd be willing to stop trying to kill ponies, and abandon some of your more suicidal goals, I'm sure you and the town can learn to get along. Like I've said to the guards, we don't have a magic user in our group. Only a unicorn that can only do healing magic. So we wouldn't have known about the spell. And I don't see what you can do about Celestia being summoned. The process is pure science. Not a single thing is magical in it. It runs on steam that is extremly dense, so dense it can rip a whole through space if it reaches the speed of 88 miles per hour. And the dimension it can cut an opening into? Is the same one Celestia is currently in. We have to do this operation tonight. We have to.

Because, me and the guards have to get to the base tonight so I can disband Celestia's Resistance before my replacement becomes the leader. Because if he becomes the leader.....

Though being your butler wouldn't be too bad, you would get to see someone everyday at least. You could even tell the guards that being your butler would be like being in jail.
