She smiles at the kitten's antics.
"It just wants to be friends, Gal. I'll keep the hot tea away from you."
The kitten distracts her from her straying thoughts.

"It seems to like you."
Why does he have to be so grumpy about this. He agreed on getting a pet..

The kitten flicks an ear in annoyance when it is not petted. This big person obviously needs more training. But for now the kitten has a nice and warm lap to curl up on. It tucks its tail under its chin and turns into a ball of utter adorableness... still on Galinai's lap. He won't be able to get up without waking and moving the cute little kitten. What an evil predicament to put someone in!

So many inquisitive little individuals.
But this seems a fair time to get across to Kirk her precise opinions here.
"Indeed, there are many who drink amongst the powerful, but drink responsibly. Kirk's primary issue here is the responsibly section. He overindulges to a fault, in risky situations."


[Eadin's Apartment]

There goes that excuse.
Eadin's water powers made this a bother.

He did agree to a pet...but not one he strongly suspects to be evil and dangerous.
Gal tentatively places a hand on the kitten, intending to just leave it there while he drinks his tea. Maybe the warmth of it will be sufficient?
"I thought I was the scary one, of us two..."

Evan gives Alice a flat look. "Did you try asking nicely for him to be a bit more responsible?" Evan asks.

[Eadin's Apartment]

She won't be happy to hear he finds her powers bothersome.

"You're just a handsome human, Gal. I'm the one with the scales and pointy teeth."
She shrugs.
Cats often pick strange favourites.

The kitten is afraid of nothing, or at least not imposing humans and merfolk. I bet it's just messing with both of them.

Anyway, it seems content with just Galinai's hand, as it doesn't vocalize any wants or objections.

"Twice."
Once very nicely! She even offered to talk out his problems, but no dice.


[Eadin's Apartment]

And so that is all the kitten will get.
Tea ranks over it, it seems.

"Bah, the scales are pretty. Plenty of people have pointy teeth. I'm the stabby one."
Although, he supposes his knife isn't showing very well...

Silly kitten.

"Like that cat knows. And you don't stab everyone you see, only following orders."

At least he's kind of petting the cat.
"You staying here tonight?"

That... is entirely true. Kirk is openly scowling at everyone now as he continues to shove food down his throat. He's slowing now. Likely because he's stuffed himself full of meat by now.

The kitten also has teeth! And claws! The tiny little sharp things are fearsome and dangerous, to be sure.

Anyway, it seems to have fallen asleep. Cutely.

Tina certainly seems to appreciate Evan's input. She gives a warm smile.

"Is that true, Kirk? I mean, you could listen to the woman a little. She..." Tina looks between them disbelievingly. Frowning at the drow. "Summoned you? Brought you back to life? Whatever. Don't get me wrong, I don't exactly like the 'drugged you' bit, but she seems... reasonable. If a little abrasive."

Evan stays quiet at this point, eating. He can't think of anything more to say that would get his feelings across properly, so he says nothing for now

Oh good, the others are seeing her point.
Perhaps they can help nail the final pins into Kirk where she can't without orders.

Alice/Feia smiles and just watches Kirk.
Waiting for a reaction.


[Eadin's Apartment]

"Animals know things sometimes...I don't assume they don't know anything."
Galinai peers at the cat a moment, before looking over to Eadin and nodding.
"If you'd like me to, sure."

[Gullara]

[Hotel - Fettina's Suite]

"Could we talk about something else, please?" Kirk says through gritted teeth. He's getting that urge to kill rising feeling. Mostly directed at FeiAlice, but Tina nad Evan aren't exactly making him happy.

[Eadin]

[Eadin's Apartment]

"You're so paranoid." She says, but smiles anyway.
At least he's staying.

She'll try to move the kitten from his lap, placing it gently on the couch.

Evan's brow furrows. What to do... "Anybody up for cards?"

"Relax, Kirk."
His anger was amusing. Very much so.
But while Alice here was enjoying toying with the situation, she saw no need in pushing the abyssal drow completely over the edge.

Her word was laced, with a faint trace of magic, bringing it closer to a true summons order than anything she's said in awhile.
More a strongly pressed suggestion, than anything else.

"I believe cards would be entertaining."


[Eadin's Apartment]

"It's kept me alive to this point..."
Galinai moves his hand so she can move the kitten, tossing back the remnants of his tea.
Still warm.

The kitten 'mrrs' in its sleep, but otherwise doesn't resist being moved. It'll sleep on the couch! Hopefully the furniture won't get entirely shredded when they turn their backs on the sleeping feline.

"Don't worry so much. It's sleeping."She says, taking the kitten's place on his lap.

"You look a lot better with a smile instead of a frown, love."

She does keep an eye on the kitten though.

"No, Kirk. I want to talk about this." Tina says, frowning uncertainly. She's not exactly frightened of Kirk, and she doesn't really understand why he's getting so angry.

When the others agree to cards, she sighs. Deciding to leave it alone, at least momentarily. "Fine."

Kirk does relax a bit. Just a bit though, but it'll do for now. "Cards sounds good. How about poker?" He suggests. If there's one card game Kirk really likes, it's poker. He pushes away his food, doing his best to not show his discomfort after having drank so much.

[Halae]

At this point, Evan is done his own meal, "Just a second," he says, and goes over to the roast wyvern. He focuses for a moment and then casts a spell on it - those with knowledge of magic should recognize it as preservative. "Sorry, just wanted make sure it didn't go bad or anything." then he focuses once again and shadows coalesce in his hands, eventually forming a deck of cards, which he then puts on the table, "Poker sounds good to me. Are we wagering anything, or just playing for fun?"

Gal keeps an eye on the kitten for a moment, before relaxing a bit and keeping his attention on Eadin, where it will likely stay.
"Smiling feels less funny than frowning, too. Cheeks don't enjoy it."

Which is silly. But largely true.

Alice's gaze lingers on Tina for a moment, after her ignored desire, then slips back over to Evan.
Kirk is sliding a bit here.
"If you would like wagers, I can conjure up some betting pieces..."
Lose nothing, but potentially gain!

"Well, I've got plenty of money to wager." Tina says, still throwing the occasional questioning glance at Kirk. "And poker's good."

"You don't play poker without betting some money." Kirk states. He pulls a deck of cards from his jacket. "You'll forgive me for refusing to use cards made of magic. Not that I think you'd cheat."

The drow's deck is backed with the image of a golden eyed woman holding a spread hand of cards in front of her face. Her eyes give the impression of smiling and each of those cards is backed with a coin in mid flip. The deck is obviously well used, but still in excellent condition.

He shuffles the deck expertly, the cards a blur in his hands. "These cards on the other hand are physically impossible to be tampered with. Created by Galimybė, a goddess of chance. Haven't got the chance to use them in a while." Kirk is enjoying this distraction from his situation.

"I just didn't expect someone to have cards," Evan says, smiling. The deck he put down disappears in a puff of black smoke. "Problem is, I don't have much in the way of cash. I do know some magic though - I could wager spells."

Frowning creates wrinkles, too.

"True. Anyway, shall we go to sleep?" She says, standing up an attemptin to lead him to the bedroom.

She looks over to the couch. Kitten is still sleeping, it seems.

Wagers of spells and money.
What should our Alice wager?
She has money in spades, there would be no risk, and spells...those are private, for now.

"How would you plan on wagering those spells?"


[Eadin's Apartment]

Clearly Galinai is clearly concerned about the wrinkles, yes.
And not the kitten.

"Mm, if you'd like, yes."
He stands up with her and is rather easily led.

"Yeah, what exactly can you do with em'?" Tina says, clearly still fascinated by magic.

"Teaching them, I think. I know a lot of tricks that you won't find in the average wizard's spellbook, some more useful than others. One of the more useless ones I've got makes hair fall out in a select area. It's what I use to shave."
