Oh, so that's what that was.

Galinai continues to stare at her, though with a slightly different look to his face.
He's not angry, but it doesn't seem like the most gleeful of looks.
Seems mostly curious and faintly confused.
Then more towards confused, with a dash of perturbed, before returning mostly to confused.

Sharing his soul now.
Certainly not what he expected here, though with some thought he's not entirely sure what he did expect here. Maybe a shining light as she was granted a fresh soul.
Looking back on that, he supposed that that was kind of silly and unlikely. This seems like the sort of lazy, yet eerily efficient thing the universe would do.

Really, sharing his soul.
It can't possibly be that pretty of one. If he was damned to hell or something for his various deeds in life, does this mean she's been stamped into that too? That's certainly going to spoil his day, if that's true.
May or may not spoil hers more, so let's keep that particular subject quiet for the moment.

Better than sharing some other twit's soul.
He'd prefer to not really trust anyone else with this particular business.
At least here, he knows that she got something he can try to keep track of, for her sake. There's probably some other nice little perks hidden about...he's heard of people that share souls, how easily linked they are.

Soul sharing...
He had written it off as a funny side effect earlier, of changing Eadin.
It appears that that was a slightly flawed theory.
It's fairly interesting, though, it seems...doesn't seem to be harming him very much. Can hear the faint signs of a link between them.
And, hey, they're sharing a soul. Is it even possibly to get closer to someone, short of turning to goo and physically fusing?
That's probably kind of special.

"Er...surprise...?"

"I'm sorry, I didn't know."
She keeps her eyes away from his face.
Frowning, she feels him worrying. Not actual thoughts, just feelings flooding through her head.

Her stomach clenches as she feels his confusion, mostly scared he'll get angry and leave her.

That's an interesting thing to be sorry about.
Is it bad? Good? Wha?
Definitely Wha?, he thinks. Although, there's plenty of potential for the others...

It could have been worse, she could have decided to- wait, that's not his worry.

Galinai blinks a little and focuses back in on Eadin.
That's definitely her worry.
Which isn't a good thing. He got distracted again, which he's trying to do better about.

He winces and slowly slides an arm down around her waist, to keep her held close to him, but perhaps not be as oppressive if the arm had stayed higher up.
"I know you didn't...it's okay. I still feel like me, so no harm done."
Although, that makes it seem like there was a threat, or maybe he thought there was.

Let's try again.
"Hey...look at how close we get to be now."

She's somewhat relieved as he pulls her close again.
She winces, not so sure about the harm thing.

"As long as you think that's good." She says, kissing his neck.

Galinai is certainly still confused about this, and mildly concerned about other possible side effects...but he definitely isn't angry at her.
This is probably the important thing.

He's justifying this just as much to himself as to her, not that she'd get that memo, thanks to a slight issue with them not sharing thoughts. Yet.

He pushes a smile back onto his face as she kisses his neck and pulls her back in a little tighter.
"Well, what do you think? Doesn't seem so bad to me at the moment."

No bad side effects so far, only faint wisps of the other's emotions.
She'll let her fingers trace the muscles on his arm.

"I don't really mind... Now you're just kind of stuck with me."

Galinai watches her hand trace away, smiling a bit more.
Seems those muscles get to serve a purpose after all.

"Told you I wanted to keep you around for awhile. Looks like I got my wish..."

[Eadin]

Muscles are sexy.
She'll place another kiss on his shoulder.

"There's a difference between 'a while' and the rest of your life."

Galinai turns a little bit, to lay on his back, pulling on Eadin a little to have her partially over him.
Maybe enjoy her new heat a little.

"Rest of your life too...it's a bit of a commitment...but I'm prepared to try for you."
He had thought about that back before he knew about the soul-splicing.
They seem mostly compatible, so it's worth a try.
Maybe with their being...so intimately linked, it'll help them even more.

She allows him to pull her mostly on top of him, staring into his eyes.
A small smile appears on her face.
"I love you. "Closing the gap between them once again.

She does feel more relieved, not really bothered with the whole commitment thing.

"Love you too, Eadin."
Another good, soft kiss, while a hand idly traces along her back.

Relief is good, a nice calm tranquil moment like this is something they deserve.
They can worry about fallout later.
"Kinda want to stay like this for awhile..."

She sighs happily, hugging him close while kissing.

Gotta enjoy having an attractive human in her bed.

"I'm not going anywhere."
Bed is cosy and the company couldn't be better.

She can relish having a nice human.
Galinai's will relish the gorgeous hydriad settled on top of him.

This involves closing his eyes and issuing a rather content hum.
Lots of issues gotten out of the way. Relaxation is perfect now.
"Maybe a little nap..."

It's a lot of work, flying across the emotional spectrum, only to end up being soul-spliced after some curtain time with an attractive fey.
And it's cozy here. Cozy things enable drowsiness.

And enjoy it she does.
Although she also feels pretty tired, lots of new things she experienced today.

"Nap sounds nice."
She'll kiss his ear, before whispering :"Thank you."

Galinai is fully settled in for that nap, up until she thanks him.
At which point he quirks open an eye to peer at her.
"You're rather welcome."
Presumably for the whole soul-sharing thing. Or maybe not freaking out about it?
He's not entirely sure, but going with it seems fair. Hasn't knowingly done anything to complete make him flip out yet.

Though this soul thing...still wheedling around through his mind.
He may be reining in his emotions, but it's still a lot to take in.
But for the sake of the moment, they can talk about it later on.

While Gal is still thinking about the whole soul-splicing, Eadin drifts to sleep.

She'll wake after a while, hoping Gal will still be there.

As a rather nice change of pace, Galinai hasn't mysteriously vanished into the night this time around.
Either he was really exhausted, or the special significance of that particular night finally nailed him down.

One way or another, it turns out he slept rather heavily and fell asleep a good deal after her. That part's thanks to a lot of probably unnecessary thinking.

So she'll be the one waking up first.

She eventuallly does wake up, and look!
Gal's still there and sleeping.
She smiles before getting out of bed, apparently hungry.

Looks like Galinai will be waking up to the smell of muffins.

Galinai doesn't stay out for too much longer.
Either because she left or the sudden scent of muffins, his eyes lazily crack open, followed by a small yawn and sitting up.

Something tasty this way smells.
"Oooooh...is that what I think it is?"
The rogue wakes up a little more, a little faster.

A quick search for his pants is performed, before sneakily moving on to determine the validity of any muffin existence, as opposed to an unfortunate coincidence.

He'll find Eadin sitting at the table with a cup of tea, eating a muffin.

"Morning. Slept well?" She asks him with a bright smile.

Her hair is a mess and she's dressed in some loose fitting clothes.

Galinai's gaze zeroes in on that muffin, eliciting a rather large grin from the fellow, before he looks up to Eadin.

Who cares if she has messy hair. She's her and holding a muffin.
That lady's a goddess at the moment.
"Mhm. Fairly restful night."

He narrowly retains the focus to drift closer offer a little kiss before he hunts down other muffins.

She'll more than happily return that kiss before nodding to the kitchen, where the muffins are cooling.

"Help yourself."She says as she goes to make him some tea.

Galinai is presently wearing the gleeful look of a child at Christmas.
This morning is clearly fantastic for him.
"Don't mind if I do..."

Hope she made a few muffins.
He can eat quite a few of them. He'll drag them back to the table first, of course, but still plans to dock their numbers down a bit.

His face is adorable, she thinks.
She made four muffins, 3 should be enough for him.

"Hope you'll like them." She says, sipping her tea.

Adorable to Eadin-kind.
Horrifying to muffin-kind.

Three muffins are available to him, and three muffins have just received their notices for execution.
Over to the table, to Eadin and the tea!
"If these taste even half as good as they smell, I'll love them..."
Which is probably an exaggeration.
They won't even have to taste half as good.

Muffins are made to be eaten.
And she made them just for him, even though she won't expect him to eat all of them at once.
"So, what's the plan for today?"

[Eadin's Apartment]

On this day, Eadin will have learned a rather valuable lesson about Galinai then: muffins do not last in his presence.

But at least he's going slow enough to not make a complete pig of himself. Mostly because that'd have inevitable hiccups...but still.
"I think, we should probably go see what's happening in the world outside. Maybe check in on Trog's."

More muffins can be made, if he really wants.

She nods. "Sounds good."

She'll appreciate the effort.

She moves to her room to get dressed, leaving Gal with his muffins.

More muffins will probably be made at some point, but not now.
As much as he loves them, he won't taskmaster Eadin into baking for him.
Today was just a wonderful surprise.

And so he eats, while she dresses.
Takes periodic sips of tea too. That stuff's both tasty and excellent for keeping the hiccups at bay.

Hiccups are always terrible.

It doesn't take her long to leave the bathroom, hair no longer a mess and properly dressed.

"You going out like that?" She says." Not that I mind." She grins, referring to his lack of clothing.


"You ate all those muffins?" Still mildly surprised.
