Re: Diseases. No. 1 [IC]
Skógr creeps down it, his torch held ahead of him. He looks around, then whistles softly for Faethyr.
"Which way, boy?"

Re: Diseases. No. 1 [IC]
"Good boy! Who's a good boy? Who's a good boy? Good boy!" Skógr exclaimed at various intervals as he followed Faethyr down the left tunnel. He stopped after a while though, and called Faethyr back. "Wait a minut, boy, but don't lose the scent." he muttered. "Hey! Guys!" he called back. "What's going on? Why are you hanging back there?"

Re: Diseases. No. 1 [IC]
"Native caution?" Merilan mutters under her breath, before sighing softly and moving up to join Skogr. "If we're going to search, I suppose we should do a proper job of it," she says with a wry smile. "Shall we continue?"

Re: Diseases. No. 1 [IC]
Merilan shoots a look at Sibyl that suggests she'd both amused and insulted by his comment. Reaching out for the handle, she thinks the better of it and turns to Skogr instead. "Can you hear anything?"

Re: Diseases. No. 1 [IC]
Skógr frowned. He looked closely at the door. Once again, he was struck by how anybody could kill a creature of such majesty, age, and wisdom, just for a simple door.
"The body is made of wood..." he muttered, stroking the door, "...but why is the handle made of silver? Why would someone use a valuable expensive metal for a doorhandle?"
He took out his ring, and examined it. Could this have some connection to his silver ring?
He shook himself from his reverie, and concentrated on the matter at hand. He pressed his ear to the door, and listened carefully.

Re: Diseases. No. 1 [IC]
Skógr leapt nimbly back from the door as if he'd been stung. He put his finger to his lips and looked at the others, motioning for them to be quiet. "There's something moving around behind there!" he mouthed.
He put his ear to the door again, trying to identify what exactly is making the sound. He then studied the ground, hoping to find tracks of something that entered the room. He motioned to Faethyr that he should do the same.

Re: Diseases. No. 1 [IC]
Merilan eyed the door warily, tighening her grip on her makeshift club, but otherwise showing no signs of nervousness. She rocked slightly on her feet, debating whether to join Skogr and his animal friend at the door, but deciding not too when they began investigating the floor. Too many people will only get in the way.
"Can you see anything?" she asked instead, keeping her voice quiet.

Re: Diseases. No. 1 [IC]
Skógr cannot see any tracks, but can identify it to be something moving on 2 legs, upright, rather small and it seems to be alone.

Re: Diseases. No. 1 [IC]
OOC:
SpoilerWell, I know that Salbazier has gone inactive, but what happened to ArcoSan? She was very active a while ago.
Skógr turned to the others, and motioned them closer. He whispered quietly, "There's something fairly small in there, but definitely humanoid. I couldn't hear anything else, but that doesn't mean there isn't anything. Would it be unwise to attack? Considering they may be diseased."
His first instict had been to charge in and tackle the person, and demand answers, but he had then realised that tackling someone with a highly infectious disease did not seem like a good idea. Anyway, the others seemed rather more intelligent than he was, so he thought he ought to leave this to the brainier people.Last edited by Zolkabro; 2011-09-25 at 11:24 AM.

Re: Diseases. No. 1 [IC]
Merilan chuckled softly, "I would say an outright attack isn't the best idea. After all, it is possible that this person fled to these caves when they realised what was happening and aren't themselves infected." She straightened her shoulders and looked at the others behind her. "Don't attack outright, but - be ready, just in case."

SpoilerI don't know either... I'm sorry to say it's rather looking that way though

Re: Diseases. No. 1 [IC]
"Well...does he look normal? Maybe we could try calling him, or her, out. For all we know, he might even need our help too! What do you think?", whispered Sibyl to his companions.
Spoiler
Well, we still have the usual balanced RPG party. DPS(Ranger?),Tank(DNecro?), and Support (Bard). So yeah...could still work. :)

Re: Diseases. No. 1 [IC]
Merilan looked thoughtful for a moment, "Skogr, when you say 'something small' do you mean halfling-sized small or dwarf-sized small or something else?" She glanced at Sibyl, "Agreed."

Re: Diseases. No. 1 [IC]
Skógr stroked his chin thoughtfully. "Well, it was about the size of a halfling, but I've never met a dwarf, so I can't help you there.
If you want to help him, (her? it?) then I agree with Sybil. Bursting in could scare them. However, if they are a threat, then we don't want to alert them to our presence when we can't see what they're doing, so I am definitely against calling out to them.
I suggest we quietly open the door, without our weapons in our hands so we don't scare it, and tell it that we come in peace. If it then attacks, we draw our weapons and retaliate."Last edited by Zolkabro; 2011-09-30 at 12:00 PM.

Re: Diseases. No. 1 [IC]
"That sounds like a good idea." Merilan said, "and since our weapons are, at present, clubs, they shouldn't be that hard to hide. Go ahead and open the door... let's get this show on the road."

Re: Diseases. No. 1 [IC]
Skógr smiled evilly. At last, some action. He twirled his club around in his hand, ready to strike. He took a few steps back, readied himself to slam down that door and destroy the halfling who dared to - wait...
Damn, I'm not allowed to kill anyone, am I? Oh well, they'll be other chances.
He strode forwards. Stuck his club in his belt, and gently opened the door. He smiled cheerfully, an odd, unfamiliar manner that he was not used to behaving in, and held his hands up around his head. "Greetings, friend, we come in peace. Tell me, do you know what happened here?"Last edited by Zolkabro; 2011-10-14 at 11:11 AM.
