Merilan blinked rapidly as she released the spell and returned her focus and concentration to the group. "I can't get anything clearer than that," she said, opening her eyes fully. "Just outside the city to the north, and there are more than five - people of some species, but I can't tell anything more than that." She raises an eyebrow at Mazora, "is that the sort of information you were looking for?"

[Zazori]

It would be a good place to start looking for your friend. Mazora answers with a little smile.

[Lady Moreta]

Merilan sighed, clearly getting exasperated. Choosing not to rise to the bait, she instead turned to the rest of the group, "Shall we investigate this group to the north then?"

"Why? Is the hunter with those people? I thought looking for him would be our top priority, no?"

[Lady Moreta]

"I couldn't tell," Merilan replies, "but that was the only group of people I could sense in the area and I can't imagine Skogr getting further away than that. Not without his animal - friend, going as well. And do you have any better ideas of where to go first?" Her tone is mild, but you get the impression her teeth are clenched and she's biting back some other comments. It appears Merilan is more used to giving orders than taking suggestions.

Sibyl looked at the others as he replied, "none at the moment, really."

He then looked at Merilan in the eye. "No need to get riled up, madam. Lead the way."

[Lady Moreta]

"Sorry," Merilan looks a little sheepish, twitching her shoulders slightly. "I'm just - not altogether happy with the situation," she adds, heading towards the door.

[ArcoSan]

"Action. Not words" comments the paladin as she moves towards the door.

"Had the wild man been closer I guess or rather hope you would have sensed him closer. Since you did not it means he is dead or has been taken by the individuals outside the city. So lets move..." she says exiting and approaching her mount.


"Also, Mazora, how long did this vision or whatever it was last? It felt like very little but you never know with those things... if time was moving faster than we though it would explain how he got, or was taken, that far. Also be aware that though I do not blame you directly I do hold you responsible for his health and safety since it happened while we were under your sorcery..." she says firmly as she climbs on Arusa.

[Zazori]

You were gone for 1 hour and 23 seconds exactly. Mazora answers.

Ethan sighed Ancient rules and all that "Let us go then, there are chance those people may be surviving townfolks" He looked at Mazora to observe her reaction if any "While we are on the way is there anything else you can inform us?" He asked Mazora

Merilan looks a little stunned at how long they were under the influence of whatever Mazora did. Upon hearing Ethan's question, she too focuses on Mazora, waiting for her answer.

"I for one, wouldn't mind more of an explanation of who you are, where you came from and what exactly was going on in that vision - thing." Merilan retorted, though her expression said clearly she didn't expect much of an answer.

[Zazori]

I will answer all questions about myself later when we are at my home, right now our priority lies with your friend, he might be dying right know. Mazora answers in a little more harsh and impatient tone than before.

[Lady Moreta]

Merilan blinks a little at that, clearly surprised. Her expression quickly morphs into concern and she looks around at the others "Then we should go," she says, suiting action to words and heading out the door.

[Zazori]

Mazora follows Merilan, but as she stands in the door she turns around and looks at the others, Are you coming?, she asks and then continues with Merilan.

Sibyl silently followed the paladin who was already outside, ignoring the strange lady Mazora and what seemed to be her rhetorical question. He snickered a little as he thought about the situation.

Oh, now that's some sweet irony right there. The ones who were in a hurry to get there, moments ago, delay us the most by barking the loudest.

You walk through the city, every part of the city you walk through is empty.
You reach the northern gate.

Merilan looks around thoughtfully, "The thoughts I sensed were just north of here. We should keep going." Suiting action to words, she continues along the path to the north.

[Zazori]

You walk for a while before you are at your destination, it's a little hill, with a cave dug into it, there is an old wooden door put into the entrance.
Outside there are some sacks of rotten grain, some apples lie around and there is a small chair.

"Shall I scout ahead or we rather not split up? I can scout from the air and have a brief look of the surrounding area though I wont know exactly where the people you senses are located!" she says as she and her beast are moving next to the others.

Her hand once again falls towards her belt ready to draw her sword. A moment later she once again realises she doesnt have her trusty instrument of justice and punishment but manages to suppress her anger.

"Anyone here?" She calls out walking forward still on the back of Arusa

"We are bringing assistance and protection" she continues.

[Lady Moreta]

Merilan moved up alongside Keratea, thinking that perhaps she would be less intimidating than the paladin.

"Hello? Is anyone here? We are seeking a friend?" she calls out, then repeats the words in halfling, elven, and after a moment's hesitation, goblin.

[Zazori]

No one answers, everything is quiet.

[Lady Moreta]

"Well," Merilan said, slightly sardonically. "That went well. I suppose now we look inside." Her words suggested a question, though her tone did not. Moving cautiously, Merilan moved closer to the entrance, then peered inside and called out again, "Hello?"

[Zazori]

Merilan's voice makes an echo inside the cave, but there is still no answer.

Just wanted to know how far in you could see, it's all pitch black inside, you can only see what the light from outside shows, which is about 25ft inside.

She looks towards the cave mouth and speaks.

" Under other circumstances I would suggest we storm the cave..." she says and pauses.

"Unfortunately we dont have weapons. Granted I have the bow but that is not a suitable close quarters weapon to be honest..." she says as she approaches the cave.

"Perhaps some light would be of assistance? We may not be able to do much about what we find, but at least we can see it coming." Merilan says, looking at the others for any objections.
