I think the worst of it may have been the "unemployed" line and the hinting at darker things. It was handled poorly I think, but Wait Wait has that problem sometimes.

If I might explain: there is a large difference between intellectually understanding danger and actually being in the hot seat. Soarin is ALSO surprised that he has a fearful reaction. He honestly never thought he was going to have to use his wonderbolt techniques in anger, so the danger is new and frightening. At least, that's my opinion.

The days of the month are counted with episodes. So the first day of the month is Episode 1, the second day is Episode 2 and so forth. Of course this means we only have 26 days a month, but we'll have a thirteenth month to replace the lost days. It's so devilishly simple.

Oh and the months are named after the cast of the show. Twilight gets January obviously.
