Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
Mangosta, here's something you should have some knowledge about, since you twice played the Dread Pony Roberts in the My Little Pony Werewolf games.
At first, I thought to ask the names of the two almost warring countries. But I figured everyone would know that, too easy. So instead...
The Dread Pirate Roberts and Princess Buttercup run from Prince Humperdinck, entering into the Fire Swamp to hopefully lose their pursuers. Within the swamp are three obstacles for them to defeat. The Flame Bursts and the Rodents of Unusual Size are two. But the third is known by a different name in the book, than what it is called in the movie. What is the name given in the book for this third treacherous phenomenon?

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
You're in luck. I am indeed somewhat familiar with the source material, as the movie in question is one of the best ever made for...various things that I'm not sure you're old enough to know about.
As those of you who have seen any action in the past six months are no doubt aware, the third obstacle is Rodents of Unusual Size, shame on you for saying rats. No cookie! The second, being the one in question, is indeed different between paper and film versions. Ice sand is a somewhat odd choice as a name for a phenomenon that apparently exists solely within the Fire Swamp. I suspect it was chosen simply to contrast with the ubiquitous fire, no matter how little sense it makes for something in the area under discussion to bear it. On film, it is, of course, lightning sand, because it sucks Buttercup down like lightning, which at least makes a little bit of sense.
P.S. Iocaine is a hell of a drug.

Heck no that's not in the rules. Of course, you're all too young to remember the Great War of Haberdashery back in 2006. Lots of inanimate objects posting then.

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
It's called in the book SNOW SAND. Not ice sand.
So wrong and right in the same time.
In the moivovie it's called Lightning sand.

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
You wouldn't hurt your Aperture Science Weighted Companion LLama, would you? He promises never to threaten to stab you.
He does ask the hard questions, though.
Two wrongs don't make a Wright, but they can make an interesting pair in Mario Cart Double Dash.
Take Warioo and Waluigi for instance. Did you know that Wario's name is taken from the Japanese word Warui? It is. Sadly, that wasn't your question. Your question is "What is the English translation for "Warui?"inner circle Legionary of Resiliance

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
Okaydokey. So, taking this work "Warui", we look over it, discarding the dot off the i, and stretching it to give us an l. A gentle tug at first V in the W gives us a more suspicious looking V. This gives us Varul, which is a curious word. But see, the a can have its little top line removed and itself squooshed into an o. u can also be made into an o, but we would do better to rotate it and push it into the l, giving us a d. So we now have Vord. Doubling up the o gives us 8, squishing the V together and pushing it into the 8 gives us B. So Brd. Which sounds like Bad.
Therefore! By logical deduction, Warui in English means Bad!"I'm just going on motive and opportunity here and the fact that if the earth got swallowed by a black hole, I'd look suspiciously in your direction first."
