Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
All right, then, Samantha. Professor Oak is often joked about for asking whether a player is a boy or a girl. Interestingly enough, the problem originated with Pokémon Crystal, where it is a blank screen rather than a Pokémon professor which prompts you to put in a gender. Regardless, questions are also raised about the many "genderless" legendary Pokémon, some of which have arguably male (Mewtwo, who had at the very least a male voice actor) or female (Meloetta, wears a dress, has long hair, and attracts the attention of several male Pokémon, as well as displaying a crush on Ash Ketchum) traits. There is, however, a single legendary Pokémon which can be identified as male or female. Tom the Mime, which is the only legendary Pokémon which can be male or female in the games?

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
Well it wouldn't be Gen 1 given the lack of genders for anything and I don't think there were any legendaries with genders until Gen 3. Probably a member of a trio so they go splitsies with the genders so I think it might be Rayquaza.
Being a mime means never having to say you're sorry.

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
Wow, did I choose the wrong category. I only paid barely any attention during the first year of Pokemon, when there was only 101 creatures, and none of them had a sex, as far as I knew. *Closes eyes* I.... disagree?

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
SpoilerDung! You were correct to disagree. The answer is Heatran. But the fact that you said there were 101 Pokemon in the first gen makes me sad on the inside.

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
I remember hearing an interesting theory about Ditto: All the Dittos are failed Mew clones, or their descendants.
1) They're found in Cinnabar Mansion, where the Mew cloning was going on.
2) They know Transform. (granted, they don't know anything else)
3) They're roughly the same colour.

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
There's a bit more to it than just that, but I'll hold off on it.
I would, however, like to know what's up with the new Mewtwo/Mewthree thing. It seems to be leaning towards a new Mewtwo form, but I'm hoping it's something different entirely. The real question is, why did they think it was a good idea to start messing with Mewtwo more than a decade later? >_<

Superdark, why do you keep moving her?
And why do you have so many castles?
I'm going with five, of course.

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
Many know that "Your Princess is in Another Castle" refers to Super Mario Bros., but most don't know that the toads of the game originally said, "Our princess is in another castle." Speaking of not knowing things, there is a town in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door where Mario is, for once, less well-known than his brother Luigi. Super dark, what is the name of the town which knows Luigi better than Mario?
