Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
I remember a Rogueport, not a Rogue Town, so I Disagree.

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
SpoilerDung! You were correct to disagree. The answer is, indeed, Rogueport, not Rogue Town. Although, their Mario Wiki page doesn't seem to mention them liking Luigi better.

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
Many things make the Final Fantasy series one of the most popular video RPG series of video games out there. One of those things is that many of the games allow you to ride giant chicken like creatures. What are the names of the giant chicken like creatures that you ride in the Final Fantasy games?

How can I be snarky and spin an elaborate tale full of insanity and the potential for the answer I give to be right or wrong when everyone in the world, even those who have never played the silly games (such as myself), knows that the answer to this question is chobocos?
I am disappoint.

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
Count Dingdong, Pac-Man is one of the most widely known video games in America, debuting in October of 1980 (May in Japan), and becomeing one of the biggest money makers in all of video game history. Pretty awesome, for such a simple game.
The original game is intended to be never-ending, with the ghosts (Blinky, Inky, Pinky, and Clyde) becoming increasingly stronger. But there is an end. What level is the highest you can complete, before a bug in the system crashes the game making it impossible to finish the next level?
Oh, and just for further awesomeness, here is one of my favorite songs for your enjoyment: Pac-Man Fever!

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
hmm... always heard order as Inky, Blinky, Pinky, and Clyde. while I've played Pac-Man, I'm sadly very bad at it. bad enough to not ever make it to the 256th level where things start to fail. Seems 8 bits was all memory given for levels

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
SpoilerDung! You are correct. In America. (Or, somewhere else, as well, I suppose) Pac-Man is widely popular as a metaphor for life based on the fact that you can't win.

For bonus points (that may or may not have any effect on anything whatsoever), what famous sci-fi movie came to theaters within a week of Pac-Man's release in Japan? Anyone can answer.Last edited by Penguinator; 2013-05-01 at 12:59 PM.

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
Because the question was: "What level is the highest you can complete, before a bug in the system crashes the game making it impossible to finish the next level?" The highest level you can complete is 255.
"The 256th "Split-Screen" level cannot be completed due to a software bug." The way Count Dingdong answered it, even I thought you had chosen correctly. Sorry.

Re: Playground Squares XI: And here we go again!
As squares, we're supposed to be believable, and there's nothing more believable than something the person being addressed knows to be true. On common knowledge things, we employ trickery (like intentionally misspelling chocobo). Answering the wrong question truthfully in such a manner that it's an incorrect response to the question being asked should be a legit form of deception.
For the record, the only reason I play these games is so that I can lie creatively.
