I like causing pain, remember? Ivaz taps her temple with a finger. See, here's the situation. Our parents were...well, I think the most widely used term would be "hippies". When they found out they were having twins, it went to their head. They got all excited. And they wanted their twin daughters to share as much as possible. To be as close as possible.

And since they were Life bases, they figured out something they could do. Join our life forces together. I feel what Zavi feels, and Zavi feels what I feel. Ivaz eyes her empty glass, then orders a refill. We had similar enough interests. Got into the same line of work. But, the group we worked for, they thought I was a little too...unstable...to let me get any higher ranking. Which is fine. I liked handling the inquisitions. Ivaz smiles as she recalls fond memories.

[Murkus]

"And if your career was going so well, what caused such ill will between the two of you?" Percival Schaefer asks, genuinely curious.

[KerfuffleMach2]

I...like...causing...pain...

To emphasize this point, Ivaz slams a fist down on the table with each word.

Also, my sister thinks I'm a little crazy, and doesn't like that.

[Murkus]

"Oh. Oh I see. She feels what you feel." Percival seems mildly amused. "Crazy? How so?"

Ivaz blinks at him a few times. Then bursts out laughing.

Wow. You haven't been paying attention, huh?

[Murkus]

"I meant besides the sociopathic need to cause pain, dear." Percival tilts his head a little, still smiling.

[KerfuffleMach2]

Oh, right. You haven't known me long yet.

Well, she isn't the first to call me crazy. Probably not the last, either. And, you know, they might all be right. She shrugs. Doesn't bother me. As long as I'm enjoying myself, I don't really care what happens.

[Murkus]

Percival takes a long pause, smile widening and eyes narrowing. "I think you would make a good demon, Ivaz."

Ivaz grins. Oh really? And why's that?

[Artemis97]

The front door swings open and in walks Raril. The drow was looking somewhat troubled.

[Murkus]

"You cause pain for the sake of causing pain. Take pleasure from suffering. And as long as you're happy, it doesn't matter how you attain that happiness." Percival smirks. "Essentially, a demon without the horns. I daresay I'm impressed."

Tina points when Raril arrives, looking at Kirk.

"Is that him?"

Heh. Wouldn't be the first time I was called a demon.

She tilts her head thoughtfully. Probably the first time that the person calling me a demon wasn't in pain, though. She shrugs. Eh, the night is still young.

[Gullara]

"That's right. Excellent timing." Kirk waves a hand to get his attention. Now as long as Raril doesn't find about the Objects Kirk has on him right now. >.>

[Artemis97]

Raril notices Kirk waving and walks over. And unless the Objects are obvious, or perhaps the same ones Kirk had before, Raril's not likely to notice. He really has no way to know an Object from a regular object just by looking at it, and he had other things on his mind.

"Hey Kirk. How have you been?"

[Gullara]

Nothing obvious about the Objects. The pen is safely stowed in his jacket, and the glasses alter themselves to look the same as his regular shades.

"Clean now, thankfully." Their last meeting stank of the sewer. "Tina this is Raril. Raril, Tina. We're looking for you because we're trying to put a band together, and we were informed you'd be a good person to talk to."

[Artemis97]

The drow tips his hat to the lady when he's introduced. His attention shifts back to Kirk quickly, though. "A band?" Raril asks, his red eyes glittering, a broad grin spreading across his face. "Now, there's an idea I can get behind." He declares, dropping into a chair at the table.

[Murkus]

"I certainly hope I won't be the one feeling pain." Percival says simply, finishing his newest absinthe and glaring at it before looking toward Ivaz again.

The demonazi picks up a menu quietly. "Do you know if the narcotics here are any good? Alcohol doesn't seem to work, but these things might."

Tina gives a snort after Kirk says 'thankfully', but lets the two men greet before interjecting. "We weren't sure what you play, though. The Admiral suggested harmonica?"

[Gullara]

Kirk turns a wry smirk on Tina, but otherwise doesn't react to the snort.

Anyway, Kirk is pleased to see Raril's enthusiasm. "That's good to hear. You don't see nearly enough musically inclined people around here." He waits for Raril's response to Tina's question.

[VampireRot]

A small and cute little furry animal saunters into the bar, wearing a comically over-sized and floofy hat. Ermine hops up onto a bar stool and orders herself a bottle of rum. Ah, the pirate was missing that.

[Reinholdt]

Plotcloned Reinholdt kitty enters here.
He hops up next to Ermine.
That was quick. The cheater.

[VampireRot]

Ermine is already drinking her rum when Reinholdt arrives. She grins at him.

"Ello. Dat was fast. Want some rum?"

[Reinholdt]

"I..." Reinholdt thinks back to Sophie with a frown.
"I guess just some." He can quit anytime he wants. Honest.

[VampireRot]

"Dat's tha spirit."

Ermine orders some rum for Reinholdt too.

I don't think she knows the meaning of "just some".

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt is a fair bit more guarded about getting totally drunk around Ermine though. He's afraid of the results.

He shifts into human form so he can actually drink more than an once without getting tipsy and sips at his rum.

"Aren't spirits a different kind of drink?"

[VampireRot]

"Oh, ye're right. Dey are."

Ermine looks a bit confused now. She takes a sip of comforting rum.

"Guess that ain't tha spirit den, it be tha rum."

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt giggles and shakes his head.
"It's the rum."

"So you've really done nothing for the last month? Isn't that boring?"

[VampireRot]

"Aye, it was! An' tha worst part was that dere was no rum."

Ermine takes another comforting sip of the beverage.

"I need ta do some more piratin'. Or, what was it people call it, adventurin'. Aye, piratin' from tha folks no'un likes."

[Reinholdt]

"It's been a bit too long since I've pirated something from someone."
Reinholdt admits.

He... is kidding right? He recently looted a random dead guy just because he could.

"Got a hit in mind?"

[VampireRot]

"Ooh, we could break into dat cyborg guy, Magwhatsit, 's cave and steal 'is cloning stuff."

Ermine nods and drinks.

"Den we could sell tha plans fer it for lots o' money. Or just build our own clony tingies an' live ferever 'n stuff."

...

[Reinholdt]

o.O
"... Wow. You don't think small."
Reinholdt pauses. Does he really want to live forever?
Well... even if he doesn't, he can always pull the plug later. A major heist vs. Magtok? It could very well be the biggest in Nexus history AND he could knock the cyborg down a peg or two.

"I'm in."
