"Hmmm. Well... ok... what about... your favourite animal?" That's also a fairly common choice beyond monstrous figures. I think.

[Gullara]

I may have taken this long to think of an animal. =X

Arel perks up at thing. Of course she knows animals! "I have always liked birds of prey." She says.

With her wings and some kind of costume it'd work very well.

[Reinholdt]

[Restaurant]

Heh. I believe you. Sometimes my characters just won't tell me about themselves and sometimes, details just pop up randomly. Good choice though.

"Oh well, that shouldn't be too hard hopefully. Get you an eagle, or a peregrine falcon, or a roc costume."

[Gullara]

[Restaurant]

"That sounds great." Arel smiles warmly at him. Oh look, their food is arriving. She takes a spoonful of soup. She seems to enjoy it. "So will we go back to the shop where you bought your mask?"

[Reinholdt]

[Restaurant]

"That's probably not a bad option actually. I don't know many other places that would suffice." Reinholdt says with a nod before sipping some tea. He nods at Arel's soup. "How's the food?"

[Gullara]

"It's very good." Arel says after she swallows another spoonful. She picks up her tea to take a sip. "I think I could get used to this kind of food."

[Reinholdt]

[Restaurant]

"Which would be what? Well cooked restaurant food or just food in general?" Reinholdt half-teases, half-inquires with a smile.

[Gullara]

[Restaurant]

"A little of both I think. I never had food before these last few days you know?" Arel says, returning the smile.

[Reinholdt]

[Restaurant]

Reinholdt nods. "I know. Is why I asked. Seems a cruel punishment to not have food." It's probably not, but who knows?

[Gullara]

[Restaurant]

"Oh no. Of course not." Arel insists. "It's just something I never needed. It's sort of different when your body doesn't need food."

[Reinholdt]

[Restaurant]

"Ah. I can imagine. Makes sense though." Reinholdt suspects they don't even date up there. Madness!

[Gullara]

[Restaurant]

Rein's suspicions are right! They don't have all kinds of cool things that mortals have. D=

"I have to say, I do like food, though. I would probably miss it if I never needed to eat again." That's not something she has to worry about, however.

[Reinholdt]

Yes, but they also don't have killer pumpkins to worry about.
Hopefully.

"Well you get to eat three times a day now. Just don't overdo it. The key to life is moderation. Not too much and not too little." Neme Hat Reinholdt believes this applies to pretty much every part of life.

"Of course. I understand that." So, so many people in the Nexus don't.

Arel sips at her tea, thinking. "So what do you do for work? Is it just your duties at the, uh, temple." She can't help but frown a bit as she's reminded of Bast.

[Reinholdt]

[Restaurant]

"Well pretty much. As you know, before I got here, I was the head of a thieves guild of anarchists. I had a hard time finding a decent job after I was here. Eventually cut a deal with this one for one dealer to get me a job. And it was a basic retail job. But that only lasted like two weeks before I ended up as Bast's High Priest. Go figure, huh? Anyways, now I just sort of help people understand the benefits to adopting cats and pray to Bast so she'll get better. I get paid out of some of the donations we get."

No doubt from mind controlled humans or thieving cats.

The bit about the thieves guild and Bast worry Arel a bit to be perfectly honest. She's sure of him being a good person, however, despite these things.

"I hope I'm not costing you too much. Speaking of which, I may be finding a way to make money. Arbiter said she would help me with that. The spirit from the book." She of course has the grimoire with her. She's been feeling protective of it since her little excursion to the Den.

[Reinholdt]

[Restaurant]

"Oh?" Reinholdt asks, eying the book warily. "It's going to help you find a job or something?"

[Gullara]

[Restaurant]

"Well, she said that there's lots of ways to use magic to earn money, so she was going to look into that for me. I'm not sure when she'll have something figured out, though." Arel says, not catching the way he looks at the book.

[Reinholdt]

[Restaurant]

"Yes, I suppose there are a few ways. Just so long as it's not weaving straw into gold I guess." Reinholdt makes a reference!

[Gullara]

[Restaurant]

"I don't think it was anything like that. I'll have to wait and find out." Arel says, wondering a bit herself. "But if I do get enough money, I'd really like to pay you back for everything you've done for me."

[Reinholdt]

[Restaurant]

"You really don't have to. You know that right?" Reinholdt says to her. He's got enough money to survive reasonably. Do you really need any more than that?

[Gullara]

[Restaurant]

"I would feel better if I did." Arel says. She gives him a smile. "It's sweet of you to say that though."

[Reinholdt]

[Restaurant]

Reinholdt holds up his hands in defeat. "All right. I know better than to get in the way of finances when someone insists. I will accept any repayment you choose to give graciously." Reinholdt says with a slight hand flourish. Huh. He's never done one of those before. He briefly wonders where he picked it up.

[Gullara]

[Restaurant]

Arel nods. "I'll be sure to do that when I can then." She returns to eating her soup, wondering about what Arbiter has planned idly.

[Reinholdt]

[Restaurant]

Reinholdt eyes the book again. It never seems to talk when he's around. Hmm...

He looks back up and smiles at Arel. "We should probably drop by the mask shop after this before it closes."

[Gullara]

[Restaurant]

"Oh, sure. We should get a white mash so they match my wings I think." Rein should probably tell her that her wings are grey. She finishes her soup and is almost done her tea.

[Reinholdt]

[Restaurant]

"Oh? Well... ummm... hmmm." Reinholdt frowns. "You haven't seen your wings since you've gotten here, have you?"

[Gullara]

[Restaurant]

Arel frowns slightly. "No, I suppose not. I just know that most angels when they take a mortal form have white wings. I would assume it would be the same in my case."

Lina is waiting at the entrance in a very pretty blue dress. Different from her usual pink.

Reinholdt rubs the back of his neck uncomfortably.
"That's, uh... not the case this time."
