*coughcoughsneeze*urrrrrgh......
Hey folks,
It's my least favourite time of year - the start of Sniffle Season. I have a head that's like thinking in cotton wool, a nose like Niagra fools and I feel like I swallowed a cheesegrater.
*PLEASE NOTE I AM NOT LOOKING FOR PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL ADVICE* but what I would like to know is what you guys usually do when the Flu Fairy pays you a vist.

Re: *coughcoughsneeze*urrrrrgh......
It payed me a visit about a week ago and refuses to leave. Usually I wait until she gets bored and decides to go elsewhere.

Re: *coughcoughsneeze*urrrrrgh......
Carry on as normal, generally. I'll take some medicine to help me sleep, or if my sinuses get inflamed (they often do), but otherwise I try and avoid any cough remedies.

Re: *coughcoughsneeze*urrrrrgh......
From the symptoms you describe sound more like a seasonal allergy than a flu.
At least, that's what always gets me this time of year.
All numbers are grammatically correct

Yay sickness buddies!
...Not really.
Came down with something over Labor Day weekend, still trying to dispel it. At least it wasn't strep or mono... my sister had both recently.

Re: *coughcoughsneeze*urrrrrgh......
I usually pump myself full with vitamins in the hopes of speeding the progress, maybe take a hot bath more often, but in the meantime I just continue with whatever it is that I need doing. I never considered a cold as a real reason to go all weak on things. Now if you have a fever that's a different thing, but just sniffles and coughing means I should continue performing my duties and stay away from the bed. Then again I'm considered by my family as being tough with myself so that's probably just me.

I would be like that, but I underwent extensive treatments when I was young (partly because I was allergic to like half the plant life that grew wild in my area...), so my symptoms are pretty much suppressed by 10 mg loratadine except when the allergen count is relatively high.

For general rotten feelings: Heat water to boiling. Stir in honey. Drink. If sore, add cloves before honey, waiting until water darkens. For stuffiness, use instead cayenne pepper.
