The redhead absently rubs the illusionist's shoulder. It's a nice break from my work, that's for sure.

Ashley keeps a soft smile on her face, closing her eyes again. "My work, too. Let's take breaks like this as often as possible."

His toys forgotten.

The little boy mouths, 'Wow' as his father sings with magical backup!

Once the song is over the lad will hop out of his chair and dash over to Raril, aiming to throw his arms around his father's leg! "Thank you Father! That was amazing! You're so good at singing I'll bet that was waaay better than some you from another universe could have done!"

Because one's father is always the biggest and the best. Everyone knows that!

Ally falls silent and finishes the last of her ale, smiling and staring off into space.

Irril's attention is abruptly torn away from the cute kitteh when her father begins to sing. She listens in awe. That was awesome! Her mouth splits her face in a wide grin.

Ashley orders another scotch, though it almost looks like she's about to fall asleep on Ally's shoulder.

Hey, you sleepy or something? Ally grins and squeezes the illusionist's shoulder.

[Devixer]

Ashley returns the grin. "No, not sleepy. I'm just really comfortable right now." She absentmindedly rubs Ally's hip.

[FireFox]

You're sitting on a barstool. That's hardly comfortable.

[Devixer]

Ashley opens her eyes, still grinning. "Okay, so that's not very comfortable. Other than that, though..."

Oh come on, my shoulder's all bone and can't be that soft. She chuckles.

Ashley blushes a little. "Well, there's that, too. Maybe I just like being here with you."

[FireFox]

Ally giggles. You must be crazy, Ash.

[Devixer]

Ashley giggles as well. "Crazy sounds good. Isn't that a requisite of all us spellcasters?"

In the rafters, Definition Trout swim about.

I wouldn't know, but that sounds like it's true.

The illusory suit and mic dissappear when Divaonar latches onto Raril's leg. The drow chuckles and tossles his son's hair. "Thank you."

With a gesture he unsummons the instruments and ends the spells he used to provide backup.

Ashley takes a second to give a slow sigh, leaning back to drink her scotch. She looks like she's trying to gather her nerves.

[FireFox]

The redhead keeps her arm around the other woman, starting to slip back into silent brooding.

[Devixer]

After a few seconds, Ashley tries to make eye contact with the thief. "Ally? Can I tell you something?"

[FireFox]

Ally falls out of her plans and into a faint sense of foreboding. ... Sure, what is it?

[Devixer]

"I... um, just wanted to say..." Ashley bites her lips, very clearly nervous, and maybe a little scared. Eventualy, she finishes with, "I think you're very pretty." The thief might get the impression that it's not quite what the sorceress wanted to say.

[FireFox]

Oh. Ally blushes furiously, to the point of her face matching her hair. Well... I think you're pretty too...

[Devixer]

Ashley's blushing as well. "I'm sorry... I don't know if I should've said that." She downs the rest of her scotch.

[FireFox]

Well, I think it's sweet of you. Also, y'know, really drunk of you, but sweet. Ally stands up. I think it's time I go to bed. You could probably use some sleep too.

Horrah for hair tousling.

"Where are you going to be going for business Father?" Divaonar inquires excitedly. "Maybe I can come help!"

Yay for helping!

There are few things more important to a child than the knowledge that they've been able to do something to aid someone they love. It provides a powerful sense of fulfillment and worth!

And if Raril is planning to visit where K'rax is laying that's certainly something Divaonar can help with.

He knows all about the surface of the Warden's forest-like hide!

He and his sibling were born there after all.

"I think I'd have said it anyway," Ashley replies, biting on her lip. She stands as well. "Yeah, I could use a good night's rest. I'll see you tomorrow?"

Well get some sleep, sober up, and when you have a clear head in the morning, if you still feel like saying it, go ahead. Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow. Ally tries to give Ashely a quick kiss on the cheek before she heads upstairs and deadtimes.

Ashley gives a hopeful smile, responding to the thief's peck with one of her own. She waits a few minutes before heading up to her own room.
