While sorta true, you also have to consider how truly unstable Esmeralda is. We've already seen earlier this ponyday how her low impulse control can lead to trouble if she's not kept on a short leash. Plus, I can see Icy pairings as sort of the flipside to Esmeralda pairings. Fox Trot can see Icy as a sort of chance for redemption; the nice mare he doesn't deserve, but gets a shot at anyway and who (potentially) makes him want to be a better pony. For Lone Star, Icy could be an incredible grounding force for him, keeping his insanity and lack of impulse resistance under control. Of course, the win-win is the situation where the two personalities become one again, and then you get the best of both worlds.

Oh gosh, now it really is a soap opera. We've got fan theories and pairing predictions, now all we need is some sort of weekly newsletter/tabloid and we're offical. >.<

Yea, that was more less the sort of path I had envisioned for Fox, a sort of redemption thing.

-She is a high-ranking pony in the Dark Forces, yes?
-Does she have some means of communication with her higher-ups?
-If the Dark Forces wanted something or somepony (that was not vital to their defense) from Bridle Shores, would she allow this to happen, stop the agents, aid and abet, take all involved parties out for slushies, etc?

Yes. Largely due to her army, and a few qualities that make her extremely hard to assassinate.

It's not. There some FiM characters here which are the grimdark version of their lite-counterparts, but otherwise the two universe has no relation. Unless we decide to do some sort of Crisis in Infinite Equestria sort of crossover.

Well, it's a rigorous application process where you pay me as many fives of dollars as you physically can, then you wait a sufficient amount of time for an average-speed getaway car to vanish into the distance...
