"Got delivery. For Mr. B. Butler. From Mr. S. Butts. D'yeh know where Mr. B. Butler be found?" Indeed, the giant is holding a large box. It's a cardboard box, and it's been sellotaped closed.

"FINALLY SIR! I've been waiting for months for my two cleaning things to come in sir. Thank you so much sir."

Butler will happily take the box.

Several months ago he ordered cleaning agents from a very sleazy salesman who promised it would come in the mail. Gave up almost all his money for them too.

"Don't t'ink dis is dey, sorry." Regardless, the small giant turns around and walks off.

[Reinholdt]

"They sir? They what sir?" Butler asks, confused.
Oh well. The giant's leaving. Nothing to be done but to set the box down and open it.

You know those snakes with a spring in that jump out of their container when it's opened? Well, the contents of the box is like that, only rather than jumping out it slithers at the bottom of the box instead. If Butler gets too close, the snake will strike at him. It's quite a poisonous snake, and if Butler is bitten he'll know about it. Right at the bottom, under the snake, is a note.

Get too close? Does kneeling right next to the box to open it count as too close? Cause it seems awfully close to me regardless of what Butler does.

Butler is bitten by the snake he didn't see as he's reaching in to grab the note!
"OW SIR!"
Clutching the note note, Butler backs away quickly.

Ally walks in and heads to the infirmary, her left arm bound in a cast.

Currently taking stock of the inventory.

You are incapable of throwing a punch? You can not be sneaky?

"I can, the skills I hath learnt art much beyond those of powerless mortals."

He jumps down and begins examining the ground, discovering no life of significance he aims his arm at it.

"I will try."

He fires his armour's weapon, frying the grass and taking out a chunk of earth.

Butler takes a quick look at the note before quickly making his way to the Infirmary. After all, he's been poisoned and needs to get assistance or DIE.

Sophie is there, pondering if she should infiltrate Tobias' living space to get a closer look at his fedora.
Butler? Is something wrong?

[Reinholdt]

"I was bitten by a poisonous snake ma'am!"
Butler says, less than calmly.

Oh, dear. Did you see how it looked like? Sophie asks as she begins to look for some antitoxins.

[Reinholdt]

Butler describes the snake! It's quite poisonous. That's about all I know. And he has a note, which I don't know what it says.

It's lucky they pretty much have a hospital right here. I expect he'll be collapsing any moment if it's quite poisonous.

Infirmary

It's an adder, Vipera berus! Ok, so I lied when I said it was quite poisonous. Adders aren't that dangerous; the last British death was in 1975, and was a young child. Symptoms are immediate & intense pain, followed up to 30 mins later by swelling and tingling, maybe blood blisters.

It's likely there's an antivenin available; there's at least 8 different types.

The note is quite simple.

The snake is a European Adder Vipera berus. This note has nothing else to say.

Sophie breathes a sigh of relief. It's just a common viper, Butler. You'll be fine, she says as she hands Butler an antivenom she found in the infirmary.

But it really hurt and was very scary!
Butler takes the antivenom. Yay.
"Thank you ma'am."

It's nothing. Where did you find that snake? Best make sure noone else gets bitten.

[Reinholdt]

"It was in the box that came for me today ma'am." Butler explains.

Deadtime for 20-30 years. Minutes.

Kate Kyland is here, hopefully with permission to stay in the guest cabin for a time. If she has it, she will be penciling her name in on the cabin assignment list as in apple cabin.

"By the Main Entrance ma'am." Butler says. He doesn't know if the snake is still there though.

I'll go take a look at it. Stay here, please. Sophie heads to the entrance to look at the package and search for the snake.

The box is still there, and the snake is still inside it. The snake is quite small, probably young. The snake is melanistic, very dark scales with only a very faint diamond pattern along its back.

As usual, Sophie looks at the snake with her Second Sight to see if it's not something else pretending to be a snake. If it's a normal snake, she'll probably just release it into the wild.

It's a perfectly normal adder aside from the mutation resulting in its dark colouration.

Should she examine the box, there's a box of details about the delivery company, sender and so on.

Sophie ponders whether or not she should release the snake. It might not be used to surviving by itself. For now, she just examines the details.

The company's name is Monster Courier Service, the courier who discovered it is named 'Tiny'. The person who sent the box is apparantly named Mr. Seymore Butts.

There's also a company address in the Yellow Zone of Inside.

Hmmmm. Strange. Why would anyone send Butler a snake? Well, first things first. Sophie takes the box and tries to find Tobias. A druid will know whether the snake can be released into the wild or not.
