Edijar's Office => Waiting Room

Edijar guides the couple to the room before heading off to grab his equipment, and Quinn will be met with an administrative aid that tells her where to go to find Cessie and Harnel.

And Quinn, carrying a package, follows the aide's directions.

Ledaal Idari arrives just outside, looking... pretty concerned, actually.

"Come in!" Comes Vas' voice from the other side even before the Exalted knocks.

Eileen waits!

Infirmary => Penal Company Barracks

Tsumia have nothing to say to the rest of the class, they were all fools anyway. She needed to find solitude at her usual place, the bathrooms.

Away from all those ignorant creatures she mediates to find her own purity. She was defiled of course, being in the company of all these unpure uneducated minds but she would be free eventually, just a little while more.

She didn't know how long she could keep up with seeing them all the time anyway, she needed to be back where she belonged. This place reminded her too much about home.

She had been secretly pleased Jason had died a clean death however, the screams might have reminded of her old life.

Once satisfied the elf goes to eat, keeping as low profile as possible.

"And secondly, we talk to him," Lob says, nodding in the direction of Ian. "I know of no way to reach Leah or Tsumia. But perhaps he does."

More scrubbing. So... much... blood...

Vas' Office

"Come in!" Comes Vas' voice from the other side even before the Exalted knocks.

Idari comes in. "There is an issue with one of the new recruits... Nellens Latas. I'm not sure how much of an issue it is, but..."

She takes a breath. "Nellens is a noble house of the Realm, just as Ledaal is. The issue is that the religious beliefs of the Realm consider any type of Exalted apart from Terrestrial Exalted to be 'Anathema', demons who have taken over humans."

{{I'm assuming the news of the Terrestrial has had time to circulate. }}

Vas' Office - Future

Vas gives the Exalted a bit of a tired glare. "I don't give a damn. Personal feuds have no place in Remnant. Get along with her or not, I don't care. But you can't tell me who to kick out. She stays. If I find out at any point that you try to force her out, then you won't like the results." Vasquez warns her.

Vas' Office - Past

"Keep in mind, its Feia we're looking for. Not Affidavit." Vasquez tells Eileen. "And frankly, if even a moderate amount of what I suspect is true, he'll probably give her up."

"You misunderstand me, I have no wish for a confrontation with her."

Idari pauses. "All I'm saying is that it'd be a good idea to find out whether or not she holds to the Immaculate Faith on that matter, and take the answer into account when contact with Exalted is likely. If she does, I'll keep out of her way, and if she doesn't... well, we'll see."

" Alright, than tha's where we'll start. " Garn says and nods a couple of times in agreement with Lob. Hopefully all of this blood will be nearly cleaned up by now.

After cleaning up of the blood and themselves (the latter happening mercifully offscreen), Lob and Garn approach Ian.

"We need to plan how to keep this from happening again," Lob says, getting straight to the point.

Ian looks up from where he sits on his bunk. He's just gotten through a talk with Keith and David. Keith was cool as a cucumber, which honestly bothered Ian more than David's whining. Ian now fully realized what kind of person Keith was, and what he likely had done. David was just worried Ian was trying to get them all killed or something. He'd just got those two pushed away, and now the dwarf and the orc were bothering him.

Ian blinked once, then scowled at Lob. "Oh, really? You think? Because I just love getting people killed. Makes me so many friends."

"Do you want our support, or not?" Lob says pointedly. "Garn and I are here to help."

Vas' Office - Future

Vas sighs and activates her comm. "Nellens, come to my office as soon as possible." She tells her over the device before turning to Idari. "Stay here. Whatever issues that are going to arise, we're going to get it out now."

Soldier Girl blinks as she's called, wondering what the commander wanted with her. Well, she'd find out soon enough. No sense dawdling or worrying, it would happen one way or another.

Latas doesn't bother to put away the statues she had set up, or do anything else. Instead, she simply rises and heads to Vasquez's office.


[Vas' Office - Future]

It doesn't take Latas long at all to arrive- apparently she ran. As far as she's concerned, if your commander tells you 'as soon as possible,' you had better take that order literally.

She stops as she enters, and stands at attention. "Nellens Latas, reporting as ordered, commander." Her eyes flick over to Idari for a moment, but swiftly move back to Vasquez.

Garn nods with lob. " Aye, if ye want ta make sure tha' no one else get killed like tha' again ye got ta get everybody workin' together. " The dwarf punctuates each ye with a point at Ian. " Jyral made ye squad leader and we be willin' ta help ye make sure tha' no one else be killed needlessly like tha'. "

Ian sighs and runs a hand through his (not there) hair. "Okay, alright. I'll try and make sure it doesn't go that way next time, okay?"

" Next time? Next time?! Didya not hear wha' we just said? We got ta get everyone on tha same page so tha' there won' be a next time. " Garn says nearly exploding at Ian in anger.

"Starting another fight now is not the answer, Garn," Lob says. "Perhaps we should have this discussion tomorrow, after we have all had a chance to clear our heads."

Before Latas arrives, Idari nods. "Thank you. Do you want to handle asking her, or should I?"

"You can." Vas says to Idari before Nellens enters. Once she does, she speaks up however. "This is Idari, one of our diplomatic officers." She explains. "She has a couple concerns she wishes to speak to you of."

Latas nods in acknowledgment and then looks to Idari, waiting for more information, or just a question.

"Ledaal Idari, to give my full name.

In any case... as part of Remnant's duties, the military sometimes works with Solar and Lunar Exalted. Or, as the Immaculate Order calls them, Anathema. In addition..."

Idari breathes deeply. "I am a Solar Exalted myself."

She watches Latas' reaction very carefully.

Ian nods. "Yeah, maybe that's for the best."

Lob goes to bed, but sleeps lightly, in case another fight starts up.


Leah sleeps soundly. None of it meant anything to her.

Ian sleeps in a similar fashion to Lob.

Keith sleeps satisfied. Today's action was... pleasing.

Concerns. Exalted. Anathema. Immaculate Order.

If anything, Soldier Girl looks bored, but even that is hard to distinguish underneath her dutiful, military mask of an expression. "And I am here because I am being put on an assignment with such a person? Sir?" She asks politely, after a little pause has taken place.

"I'd been thinking about it." Vasquez admits, watching them both closely for their reaction.

Waiting Room

Edijar eventually returns to the Cessie, Harnel, and Quinn. He's in his suit of power armor, and he has a worn track shoe in one hand. "You three ready? Kirk is waiting at the gate."

Idari blinks several times in confusion.

...she's speechless at the lack of reaction, to be honest. Her mind's working through the possibilities, though.

[Vas's Office]

"I am at your disposal, commander." Latas states resolutely (though perhaps with the faintest hint of resignation), before her eyes flick back to Idari. She seems to consider, then speak up again, addressing Idari politely. "Ma'am, are you concerned that other Exalted will have issues with my presence?" She inquires politely.

"I was concerned of the opposite, in fact. In my world, most Terrestrial Exalted have major issues with other kinds of Exalted. This is especially true for members of the Houses of the Scarlet Dynasty, and your family name made me think you were a member of one of the Houses.

Most other kinds of Exalted will probably be cautious, at least, as your name and status as a Terrestrial Exalted may well lead them to make the same assumptions."
