I haven't actually decided yet. I think Daetrin is slightly earlier, but I'm not sure.

Either way works for me; I just need to know so that I can tell if he'd make a comment on them or not. Certainly, it's possible that the negotiations were being done while the Rayaat was choosing a room, but it's equally possible that Daetrin is being shown around before the caravan arrived. Whichever works for you.

Since Daetrin just chose the nearest room, that wouldn't take long. Certainly not long enough to buy three slaves, brand them and show them around. So Rayaat is earlier until this bit ends.

What appears to be an ever-shifting maze appears in front of him, and he starts to channel pure Chaos through it. Basically, he's creating the equivalent of a Sphere of Annihilation, but on a larger scale.

In addition, if Nabrius has a relation to Chaos, it should be even more effective than normal, as he's offended the Logrus by refusing the offers of one of its Initiates, which has, in turn, forced it to exert itself (Yes, the maze-thing (the primal representation of Chaos where he's from) is sentient.).

So um, question. How can something that instantly disintegrates anything it touches be more effective?

(Also, we're not all D&D players here. You can't assume everyone knows what a Sphere of Annhilation is in the first place, even though the name has some pretty obvious implications).

Your characters are your babies and you know them all, but the other players don't. Even the people you roleplay with regularly probably don't know the text colors of all your characters.

The only exception to the 'name in every post' guideline would be if you're in a back and forth dialogue scene with only one other person no one else posting in the same thread at that time. Then I would change it to 'put the name in every third post'.

  Threads can be so confusing to read! So many people are doing things! How can I help?
  There are two things that everyone can do that will make threads much easier to read.

  First, try being more proactive, and initiating interaction yourself. Sometimes everyone in the Tavern is being mysterious and aloof, and someone has to be the first person to speak up and start talking to the other person. If that doesn't work, try posting in the OOC thread that you want interaction! It's a good idea to say if you're looking for a fight, a plot, a conversation, a romance, or anything else. Most people are friendly and will work with you.

Conflict is great! It's the heart of any story, and there isn't much to roleplay without it. However, as a player to player courtesy, please check in with the players who are active at any given time before launching an attack. Not everyone wants to roleplay combat scenes, and sometimes there are other things going on that players don't want to interrupt for a random fight. Either a PM/IM to players, a short post in thread to say ((Mind if I introduce a villain here?)) or a longer post in the OOC thread if it's a larger plot is appreciated. However, taverns are usually considered fair game for a Random Encounter or general brawl.

Alright, Mindfreak, usually I don't call you on things you do, but I feel the need to stop and call you out on this post.

1: Allen is standing at the door to MagMart. Dave is standing on the other side of the parking lot. Tirin is, let's say, three feet away from Allen. So Allen is making a point blank shot at Tirin. This is an attack that would take all of a second to make. The time it would take a shuriken to travel across a bloody parking lot, curve around Tirin, and hit the bullet is not in any way feasible. It actually makes me angry that you think you can stop my attack in such an impossible way. By stopping the attack in such an abrupt and concise way, you are godmodding it. I really don't appreciate that.

2: Tirin is in the air. How is Elena grabbing him?

Edit: Alright, I asked my gun nut brother about this. According to him, Dave's shuriken would have had to be travelling at roughly 1,200 feet per second just to hit Allen's bullet. That requires a kind of magic and/or super-human ability that Dave has not displayed thus far. Also, a shuriken wouldn't have nearly enough mass or momentum to even deflect a bullet, forget cutting it in half. Check out this video to see how fast the bullet Allen's firing would go. The gong the guy is shooting at is 300 feet away.
