    A jet of blood as lances across the blacksmith when he stabs into the Ogre's surging artery near the beast's armpit. On the backswing the sword passed through the shoulder joint easily pinging through tendons and flesh. It was a good kill.

    The momentum of the swing carried Uidon around and he planted a foot and rushed low to assist Lucky, leaving the poor armored slaver to his fate.

    Elkal's spell si well-placed again. most of his targets are burnt down to crisps, wiht only 1 survivor fleeing in terror to the south
    Korin attacks 3 slavers and kills 2 of them. When he speaks to the slaves they get a bit confused - are those attackers NOT raiders? could they actually be trying to really help them? holding to that hope, some slaves gang up on the last surviving and terorrized guard close to the wall of smoke and split his limbs away
    Nova and Xilef attack the armored one with great effectiveness. Before XIlef is able to finish her combo, that man falls defeated on the floor. she still ahd energy to kill one of the sowrdsman.

    with their ranks devastated and both leaders defeated, the surviving guards try to flee (wich is quite difficult due to Entangle, Black tentacles and Wall of Smoke). they no longer pose a treath to you (combat ends) as these guards turn their backs, your follwoers are eager to stab them repetedly.

    The slaves pour from the pen. Some hastely discuss what to do, some stoped fleeing, and some dash away as fast as they can.

    (there are surviving guards trying to flee, a single survivor from elkal's fireball fleeing, confused slaves trying to understand what to do, and fleeing slaves. how will you handle them?)

    Elkal will use a combination of invisibility, "running" (4x fly speed for 240' movement) and fireballs/ burning hands to catch up to and kill any fleeing slavers while the other party members talk to the slaves.

    Very few guards make it outside the camp, and those who do are quickly outrunned and outmatched by elkal's powers.

    still, some slaves still run away, despite you talking of freedom. it is only a handfull (about 10 or 20, you might try another diplomacy check), some poeple better take their chances at the forest than at your hands.

    will you insist for them to trust you? will you run after them? will you stop them? (don't worry about the guards anymore, but each of you have to act fast if you want to catch them all)

    Elkal uses wall of smokes to contain the fleeing slaves so that Nova can talk to them as well.

    Korin sheathed his greatsword once the soldiers had been dealt with. Worried his intimidating appearance would be problematic in calming down the slaves, he left the task to the others, instead taking charge of their followers and ordering them to secure the camp and begin seizing anything of value for their return.

    Uidon stabs the nearest slaver and yells, "We are here. The slavers fall beneath our magic and flee from our steel. STOP! We were the oppressed, we are now the torch of freedom. Do not flee! We are your salvation! Follow the Dream!" Uidon whips blood off his sword into the grass and beat his armored hand on his shield, drawing more attention.

    The followers mercylessly slaughter any ressitence and round up the survivors that surendered - mostly those affected by the entangle spell, barely a handfull.

    Nova and Uidon easely calm down and convence the mass of slaves to stop and lsiten them for a while before taking this crazy chance of escaping. you could guess there are about 100 slaves in there. one of them overcome the fears and doubts and asks "who are you?!"

    Elkal prevents the slaves from fleeing south, mostly by intimidation manifested in a wall of smoke than anything else. those fleeing slaves decide to turn back, specially when they realize they are just a handfull and dozens decide to stay.

    most of the slaves fleeing north stop and listen... but not all of them. 5 slaves are runing at full speed into the jungle and dosen't seem intrested in listening anything you want to say. You will have to give active chase to reach them only for they to be within earshot again. (either you hunt down these 5 or just let them go) (Elkal can't help here because he's too busy with the southern part of the camp. by the time he heads to the northern part, the slaves are gone)

    Elkal guides the saves he stopped fleeing to return, then leaves them for the more silver-tongued members of the party to deal with and starts searching the largest tents (or whatever other tents look to be officers' tents) for maps and any other items. He borrows a few of the followers to help speed his search.

    Nova is wearing armor and probably can't reach the slaves when haste is done, so he'll focus his efforts on the ones he already gathered here:

    "We are former slaves who escaped the empire some time ago and that were guided by some mistical power that allowed us to use magic. My name is Nova the Singer of Rebellion and these are my friends: Zagan, Uidon, Elkal, Korin and Seanon", Nova says pointing to each when their names are mentioned, "we're liberating slavecamps and trying to create an army to defeat the empire and drive this land out of slavery", he looks the slaves in the eye as he talk, "I know this might look crazy (but here's my number so call me maybe ._.) but I'm sure we can defeat it as long as we stay together. We have needs for warrior, but also for people to support so not all of you need to grab a weapon and go in the action", he then takes another pause and continues, "Who of you are with us?".

    As the 5 slaves attempt to escape Uidon looks to Xilef, "Round em up?".

    When Nova and Korin address the Dreamers that had escaped with them from the Quarry. "Amazing. Look at you. Look at how you are. Bloody, scared, elated. Do you feel it? This power is ours to use. We are freedom. We are glory." Uidon cleans his sword off on the uniform of the dead armored man, slowly. "These slaves are free now only in body. Show them how they can be free in spirit." Uidon nods behind him and turns slowly, "Show them." Uidon moves to stand behind Korin, his shield a beacon of daylight in the gloom of the night shining on Korin and Nova like a spot light.

    Xilef reaches the fugitives with no difficulties, still making use of the final moments of the extended haste spell. when she warn her intentions, two slaves drop cowering to the ground, but 3 of them keep on runing even faster.

    Xilef easely outruns and overpowers them, triping the last 3 fugitives. Yet one of them stands up form prone with his axe, completetely desperate and terrified "you will not capture me, MOSNTER!!! I DIE FREE!!"... and then, he charges xilef with his wepon ((1d20+4)[5], damage (1d8+1)[6])

    The mass of slaves are still a bit confused. it dosen't seem like they have a leader, representative or something. it is obvious they are still very scared, intimidated, and not very quick to trust you

    at this point, the dreamers realize that quite a portion of the slaves seems to have been affected by the ravage - about a third or more.

    Obviously the many slaves desagree with a position to be taken towards you. As the pushing starts, some of them (15) try to run off back to the pens, some (10) are trying to climb the wood wall, while others try sliping past the tents (5), or trowing themselves at your feet (20) crying and screaming "spare me! spare me! you are my master!". others (20) stand back and away from the fight, while the rest of the slaves (25) fight each other

    Xilef tears apart the charging slave with her oversized claws spreading sharply cut guts on the torchlit grass. she turns arround to the droped slaves and sees that one of them was actually a grill... about 14 or 15 years old...

    she has her eyes immediatly flooded with tears and is half paralized, stating at the fresh corpse... Xilef hears her sobing, crying and whispering somehting under her breath, too weakened to do aything but crumble...

    Korin tries to tend the man, but it is too late then he arrives. the attack was too vicous - he's flat dead. The crying girl is still paralized in disbelif.

    As the confusion among the other slaves starts, seanon cast a simple ghost light to distract the troublemakers... at least to the point they stop. he keeps on casting and controling that spell trying to create a more smothing scene "We will not hurt you.... Nova, Uidon, why don't you tell them why we MUST confront the empire?"

    Nova look to the crowd and put his sword back to his sheath, "We don't want to be your masters nor did we planned to free the slaves in the other camp to make you slaves. We're fighting this evil empire to make sure noone will be a slave anymore. I had my time as a slave as well... If you don't believe me just look", Nova then begin to strip off his armor and show them his back, "can you see how many times I was whipped just by the scars? I was just a boy when I was a slave and kept doing mistakes and being punished by that", Nova looks at the women in the crowd, "Why do we have to suffer slavery? Who them think they're that they can do whatever they want for our lives?", then he looks to the old people, "For how long did you suffered slavery? How many horrors you had seen in your life? Don't you think it's enough?", then to the ones fighting each other, "Guard this energy you have to fight something worth for... You know, the Empire is vast and powerful, but he can be defeated if we all work upto that objective. One thing I know for sure is: I would prefer death over a lifetime of slavery! Or do you really think this slavery will end in some years or something? This will keep going till someone put the Empire down otherwise there will always be people suffering".

    "The only way to end this is to fight! But we won't let people who doesn't want fight with us. Remember: we freed you. We're not going to taken it again from you. We want you to fight together with us, not for us. We need people to help to build, farm and hunt as well, we don't need only warriors. Who are with us?"

I hope the answer is no because if it's yes I think this make you look more like slavers than slaves. It wasn't us who killed your family. It was the same Empire who slaved you. Don't try and blame us for this rotten slavers"

    The slaves calm down and listen to Nova's words. They move out from their hiding places and start moving closer to the dreamers, saying things like "I'm in" or "maybe you're right" or even "If we go back we might be caotured again anyway...". You see that the mass of slaves naturally starts to divide, with about 80 out of the 100 slaves coming at your side. The other 20 - a mix of elderly, women, men, fresh new slaves and old time slaves still does not join you, and ask "will you really take us to the edge of the forest?" Some of these people might just want to go back home, while others must be thinking of living alone in the wilderness and other might just wish to run free in a flower field with birds singing.

    form the 80 slaves that seem able to join you, about 40 or 50 look battle-able. most of these 40-50 look like "experienced" slaves.

    Meanwhile, north of the camp and closer to the edge of the forest, the fugitives were defeated. 3 of them stand up slowly and start moving to the camp. The little girl speaks up with difficulty "W-Who are you?... what *sob* do you-u... want?*sob*"

    Uidon looks at Nova as he gives the speech, forming a plan on how to act. The singer is wise, and his message is one of hope... but if they are not with us who are they with?

    Uidon points towards Lucky and some of the skirmishers and then to the axe holding slaves, "Disarm them, gently, nicely." , then points towards the rangers and remaining skirmishers and gestures to the surrounding tents, "Blankets, food, bring them here now."

    Uidon claps his hands together, making a loud metallic and flesh sound, "Nova is right. Were you ever free? To be pulled from your beds? The empire needs to fall. Those who do not join, will be freed. You are not slaves. For now, prisoners. But not long. Even you will be free. We wait here for the moment. The Dream guide us. Those who wish to no part, line up here, healthy ones here..." As some food and blankets start to line up Uidon will try to get the slaves to form lines and begin to hand out a little bit of food. The smith will try and get them to break into useful groups, having healthy slaves who join up begin moving bodies to the west edge of the camp and gather weapon stores. The 20 who want no part he will sequester and try to keep back in the wood pile area, still thinking of how to handle this situation.
    I am currently looking to join one more game. Mage, D&D 3.5, Patherfinder and D&D 4th are all acceptable.

    Xilef seem a little stunned by the declaration of the girl but she quickly regain control of herself and respond to Korin. "Yes mostly he attack me I react as I would immediatly after a violent battle, he wasn't strong enough to handle it."
    She then respond to the girl, "We are here to free you. if your father wanted freedom so much he just as to ask."
    She then take a deep breath, "However I admit that I was too violent here but I have the power to revive him. I do not know nor care if you believe me, in any case I will take his body and tomorow you will have your father back."
    Without another word she take the body of the man and return to the slaver camps, leaving Korin to deal with the other slave.

    The little girl is still choked and does not reply to Xilef. The fugitive slaves are brought back. Their aproch cathes the attention of the over slaves but no one seems to react at the moment.

    The slaves start organizing as uidon asks. most of them just drop their axes... many of them are trully beliving you, no matter how crazy this all seems. prenty of food and water is brought to all, who make no cerimonies to eat all they can very quickly. The 20 that refused to join are somewhat paralized "You're not taking us to the edge of the forest then?"

    By now, Elkal and the followers have rounded up the survivors. there are 3 guards that survived sustained wounds and 7 that surendered - all tied up and totally defeated. Their food and water stocks would feed about 600 meals - not enought for a week if the previous population of all guards and slaves were feed equally.

    There are quite a lot of tools for crafting and building. It should be enought for ex-slaves assistents to the dreamers. There is also a lot of cloth from the tents and an awfull lot of wood. there are also 4 carts for beasts of burden (but no horses).

    and, of course, many wepons and armors

    Elkal leaves a few followers to guard the prisoners of war and instructs them loudly to "Kill them if they move at all." His voice is cold and without room to negotiate. The rest he has begin loading the carts with their fresh spoils of war.

    The 40-50 former slaves that have agreed to join their followers and appear to be able-bodied, he gathers together and sorts by combat skill and readiness.
