A tinge of excitement floods into Liz's voice. She's never had the opportunity to meet a treasure hunter extraordinaire before!

"What's it like being a treasure hunter?"

Liz knew from the start that Rein was a very interesting person!

And with that, Percilia-prime rushes out CURATOR! With any luck, Tom won't notice that she arrived home much later than she normally does!

"Oh, it's exciting. Dangerous. Really dangerous. Comes with its own rewards, certainly. Frustrations too. You can spend weeks tracking something down only to find someone else got there first." And then you have to track THEM down and it all just gets messy.

Yeah the door is open. And in some time he arrives and a few hours later he is ready to use the PC.

This is just so cool! A real, live treasure hunter came to the village and Liz can say that she met him!

Yep. Mister C might run into some trouble with this endeavor.

"Hmm... not really..." Lots of reasons for that. Good ones even.

"Gee I don't know. I've gotten things from dragons' hoards to artifacts full of positive energy to cursed soul sucking daggers of doom. I can't think of which one would be on top."

Well then this could need MAYN MAYN hours.
At first he rtires to open the scanner. Crawling under the cover he tries to open it. The he goes for the paper. It is save to say that he has to do this several times, since the cover falls down a few times. After successful getting the paper in he goes over to the keyboard.

"I hate PC's."

He searches for something that he can use to be a bit over the keyboard. He will use his one tounge search system for writing and hugging the mouse to it.

Boatloads of Nexus girls should be swooning over Rein at any given time! He's dark and broody but dashing and regal! Best of all, Rein has feelings. He's real. Liz digs that, even though not all other Nexus females may.

Of course, Rein already has an Ermine-gal; I'm betting that Ermine murdered all of the women that were admiring Rein from afar so that she could have Rein all to herself.

"Why'd you decide to go into the treasure hunting business? Was that one of your childhood aspirations or something?"

This sounds like a most tortuous, daunting task for Mister C to undertake, especially since the only things he could really stack to get above the keyboard are a pile of blank copy papers, eyeglasses, various copy mugs, and an electric pencil sharpener.

This job might be made easier if Mister C were to summon Percilia-prime's assistant.

"Oh, well, ummm... no not really. It was just sort of... thrust upon me." In a way. Kinda sorta.
Reinholdt shifts uncomfortably.

"Can't say I don't enjoy it though. It's one of those professions where you really feel alive, you know?" Cause death is one poison dart trap around the corner.

Certainly! In a career field such as treasure hunting, one must live each day like he or she is dying because dying might be just a day or two away.

"Oh... That last part is good, at least. I've lived out much of my life as a soldier, so I wouldn't know the first thing about treasure hunting."

"Mmmm... it fits a certain personality type more than most professions. You have to be interested in asking questions and finding out more." And be semi-suicidal and/or gold driven.

"Though if you're coming with us to the ruins, you'll get to do some job shadowing."

Liz nods in response to Rein's comment. She nods multiple times, in fact.

"I shall be accompanying you to the ruins. Not sure how we're going to get down there, though. Tiff probably has something planned, but it'd be a good idea to keep another plan in reserve just in case..."

Because Tiff totally doesn't have a plan. She's just intoxicated!

"I'm sure we'll figure something out. So... see you tomorrow morning?" It's probably well past time they actually got to the treasure hunting part!

The weather itself is crummy. It's raining heavily outside. In this case, the rain spills from the sky like water running directly off of the edge of a waterfall. Not to mention that the air outside feels like it has underwent cooling in a freezer. The only way the environmental conditions could conceivably get any worse... Wind? Wet, icy, and blustery? You have got to be kidding me!

It's a good thing Reinholdt normally wears warm (In truth, he tends to wear so much I wonder why he doesn't get heat stroke in the summer), but this was a little ridiculous.

He'll try to get in contact with Percilla on the radio again to see what she actually wants done. And if any lizardpeople are around, ask them if this weather is normal.

This adventure started in late August, so Aurea doesn't have proper cold weather gear. Given her thin attire and an elemental weakness to cold, she's currently shivering like crazy and pacing around to stay warm.

Will looks none too happy about it either, and is using his blaze, set to the very lowest level, as an impovised heater.

Liz is milling about in the center of the camp. She's covered herself in heavy fur coat. Upon inquiry, Rein shall find that this sort of weather is abnormal for the area, according to the locals. Oh! Percilia finally ended up responding to the Rein's attempts to contact her!

"Hello?"

While Rein is thus engaged, Aurea might want to see about getting her hands on one of those fur coats the lizard-people obviously possess.

"Hey Percilla. This is Reinholdt and minions. We're reached a village outside the underwater ruins and are wondering how you want us to proceed. We know there's a bunch of undead in there guarding something. Getting in might be a problem though."

Over the Radio:

"You're going after a talisman. A very powerful talisman. Legend has it that this piece of jewelry gives one a means by which to draw power from the afterworld."

"It's odd that the temple is underwater now. If you can find something watertight, you should be able to reach the entrance. Knock over one of the pillars. One of them is a switch which should open the shrine for you. After that, you're on your own."

Moments after the name of Percilia's aide is spoken, a cute, little Golden Retriever puppy tears around the corner as she races into the room! That must be Percilia-prime's aide!

Whether or not she'll be able to help Mister C is much less certain.

"Hmm... k." Reinholdt says with a frown. He doesn't much like the idea of a necromantic talisman at all. Necromancy was always bad news.

He goes to find Liz, ready to go.

Aurea is too busy trying to come up with a perfect and elegant magical solution to think of something as obvious as asking someone else for a coat. So she'll just pace around and shiver until someone tells her it's time to head for the lake.

Liz is doing her best to keep warm in the center of the camp. She waves to Rein as he approaches, smiling at him with a much pleasantness as she can muster under these circumstances.

"Ready to get started?"

It might be noted that most of the other lizard-people have chosen to remain in their houses in acknowledgement of the horribly inhospitable environmental conditions.

"Depends. Is it normally like this in the morning?"
Chitter chitter. The sound Reinholdt's teeth will be making shortly.

"Not usually, no, but this sort of weather isn't unprecedented either."

Liz shrugs from under her enormous, black fur coat. It might be several layers thick. Hard to tell. It's definitely waterproof, though.

"All the same, it's terrible weather for a little dip in the water..."

He is going back to the PC since he sees no real help in the dog.

"Mmmm... I don't suppose you have an airtight submarine or secret entrance do you? Cause we're going to have to look for something." Swimming in this weather is just not really an option.

Aurea, the golden dragon who swam down to investigate the pillars in the first place, is still around. She also has potent magic, since her translation spell has apparently not worn off yet. So she could be asked, unless Reinholdt doesn't want to talk to her.

Liz pauses for a moment, clearly deep in thought. Submarine. Submarine! That's a funny word!

"There might be a secret passage leading into that structure, but I'm not sure where one of those would be. Before we run off searching for it, do you mind if I ask what exactly constitutes a submarine?"

It'd be nice to know what Rein was asking about so that she could tell him whether or not she had access to one of those...things.

The puppy twists her head to one side when Mister C insults her. She is puzzled!

"I don't see any hilarity in this locale."

She bluntly proclaims in Common.

"That wasn't an example of sarcasm, was it?"
