1. I'd say that I identify most with a combination of Fluttershy and Twilight. (Not very specific, I know.) I usually find myself stumbling between Twilight's nerdy awkwardness, and Fluttershy's shyness.

2. Favorite is definitely Fluttershy. She's just so darn cute!

3. Unfortunately, I find Pinkie most annoying. This is mostly in her personality, but I certainly wouldn't want her gone though.

4. I think I respect Twilight the most. She is the hard-worker that I wish I was, plus there's that whole saving the world thing.

5. The answer is: I have no friends.

On Pegasi independence and isolation.

While the fact that the Pegasi have many citys that they only have the ability to live is generaly known by the inhabitants of equestria, the former extent of this isolation from the rest of the world is known only to land bound well-read scholars within the borders of equestria, the princesess,and of couse any inqurering Pegasi within one of the cloud-citys.

In fact, the pegasi where the last of the pony races to be join equestria, for the earth ponies and unicorns where already living together for more than three generations before the mostly-indipendent cloud citys formaly joined the kingdom. The true reason why has been lost to all but the princesses themselves, for while the pegasi themselves claim to have joined due to issues with dealing with the flying monsters of the everfree and the newfound unity of the Griffen tribes under a Tsar, the most learned of the earth ponies and unicorns say that it was due to the system of cloud farming that they had used for generations produced too little to feed the growing population, and required food grown from pony-grown farms to survive.

Neverless the reason, pegasi now are part of nearly every city in equestria, and are generaly seen as no more exotic than unicorns by the rural populance. Yet, the pegasi have buildings, dishes, and forms of dress unseen by the other pony races, and along with the mear existance of Cloudsdale, a large, semi-indipendent pegasi city dating back before the pegasi joined equestria, makes the idea of a pegasi kingdom above the clouds not just a dream, for it would take only a great event for it to be a reality

Aaaaagh the spelling, it burns! It burns! When you hammer this more formally, I suggest making sure the grammar is correct.

Anyways, overall the concept seems to work. Some thoughts I have would be to add a bit more details in a few areas.

For example: you mention that the griffins were unified under "a Tsar". An event of that magnitude might qualify for a name drop. Something like "The griffin kingdoms were unified under Tsar _________.

Basically what you seem to be getting at is that the pegasus were once independent from Equestria, but willingly joined a union with it once they realized that they stood little chance of continuing on alone.

The pegasus are a widespread race that live both in grand cities in the clouds as well as villages and towns across all of Equestria. What few know is that this trend is a recent phenomena.

The pegasus were in fact the last of the pony races to bow to Celestia's rule. Prior to that, they lived in rather isolationist city-states in the clouds, and would only venture out when hired to clear up overly disruptive weather systems.

There are conflicting stories of how and why the pegasus yielded to Celestia. The two favored theories involve war and severe crop blights.

Pegasus scholars have for centuries claimed that the reason their kings joined a union with Equestria was because of raiders from the Everfree and the unification of the Griffin Khanates under Tsar Nicholas the Dragonblooded. These political developments kept the Cloud Cities off balance, and one by one, they bent hoof to Equestria for protection.

More recently, earth pony and unicorn scholars have uncovered evidence of a severe blight that struck the primary crops of the pegasus. The results were mass starvation, mass migration (the first sizable pegasus community in Canterlot, Little Cloudsdale, dates to this period), and a ruined economy. Scholars who believe in this theory state that the rulers of the pegasus could no longer survive independently due to the strains put on them by the blights.

Probably Twilight because I'm an introvert for the most part, but like making friends, though they sometimes have to seek me out.

2. Your favourite pony?
I love all of them, but Applejack is my favorite because she reminds me of what it is to be young. She was the only pony to go from G1 to G4 without too many changes. :)

3. Pony you find the MOST annoying?
It really depends on what episode. Twilight is annoying in Winter Wrap Up, Pinkie is annoying in Bridle Gossip, Dash AND AJ are both annoying in Fall Weather Friends, and Rarity annoyed me in Look Before You Sleep. I think the only one that I haven't been annoyed by once is Fluttershy..

4. Pony you RESPECT the most?
I respect Celestia because I don't want to be banished to the moon.

5. Your best friend in the pony world?
Pinkie and I would probably be most in cahoots with random singalongs and just random hyper behavior.

6. Most useful/useless pony?
Useful - By practical means, I feel Twilight is the most useful because she has the most information (most of the time). She seems to have a pretty down-to-earth way about her thinking processes.

Useless - Egh, Pinkie is kind of useless except in episodes like Swarm of the Century and the pilot where she finds the book about the Elements of Harmony. I do love her to itty bitty pieces, but she's probably the least practical with Fluttershy maybe being a close second with her phobias. Both come through in the end.
