Not Amil's baby cow! Oh. Wait. It's biting her on the leg. Okay, that's different. The hound will find that biting through Amil's pants and hide is about as difficult as biting through someone wearing plate mail. That might not stop the critter, but it isn't as easy as chewing on squishy human flesh.

She gives a snarl as the hound chomps her and begins firing spikes point-blank into the thing's head and spine. Or at least that's what she's aiming to do.

Missing under this circumstance would probably be pretty hard...

It's kind of difficult to bring a longsword to bare against a foe that's chewing on your legs. A handgun is much more practical!

Fade enters the store. He isn't quiet firm with the Items and the stuff hanging around here and he keeps his shadow close to himself. After all he searches for Someone and since he isn't sure if it can be found he will ask the employee.

"Hello. Could you help me?"

Azik is standing behind the counter, like he almost always is. Remnant hasn't asked much of him since his joining them, so he's been doing his enchanting himself rather than letting his Homonculi do it.

"What do you need help with, Sir? Perhaps I can find something that you need."

"I seek for something called'Star Dust', and I thought I may find it here. Do have this?"

Why are her spells so ineffective! T_T Time to get out of the range of this wolf, and hopefully buy her some time. Genevieve turns away from the wolf, and suddenly her wand becomes a broom, and broom which she promptly takes flight on and starts flying circles a bit above.

Unless stopped, she'll go and find such a dagger, then return to pay for it.

Azik Rubs his chin, and Fade should get the feeling that if he had a beard, he would totally be stroking it. "I might know it by a different name. What exactly does this star dust do? What does it come from?"

"How does complicating something make it nicer?" Aleph asks, sounding confused. "Wouldn't that just make there be too many things to think about?"

The hound's head is disabled as Amil shoots it several times, but its legs still seem to work, and it slams into her, trying to knock her over, while its fellow falls on its face after yet another failed attempt to bite Genevieve. It growls, then turns and pounces towards Amil, trying to attack her from behind while the other hound distracts her.

"I don't really know. I just readed in a book that it's an ingredient for a spell I prepare for."

For real it's meant this normal thing people get when a 'star' falls down. (Mainly asteroids dust or something simular)

Sophie blinks. I'm not sure what you mean. How would that make anything "more complicated"?

The Warforged shakes his head, "I'm sorry, friend, but without more information, I can't help you."

"Fire Angels are something like a giant praying mantis, with fur and spikes. Dicing them is about the only thing that works to kill them, except maybe going for the heart - which they have three of -, including cutting off their head. Also, they're as smart as a human, and can fly."

Amil gets knocked over!

She hits the ground with a thud, knocking her head on the pavement as stars fill her vision. Ouch! As dazed as she is she really doesn't have any opportunity to do much beyond protecting her head and neck with an arm with the hound attacks her!

Probably will get mauled on pretty good at this point.

Some aid would no doubt be a wonderful thing!

Until aid is forthcoming she'll flail a little and ineffectually jab at the attack-dob with her saber.

Ack, Amil's too close for much of what Genevieve can do to be effective. You know what this means. Another volley of semi-useless balls of light! Whoo!

"Oh, wonderful," Jakus says, "Well, at least I don't have to worry about killing rather than capturing."

"Good point. How are you planning on doing that, anyway?"

Jakus smiles as the D'lattu laughs, "See, that's why I wanted a pay advance; so I could buy enough equipment to gt what I need to capture these things. A solid net and some heavy duty tranquilizers should work on the Barghests. The remorhaz is gonna take some more work though - I may have to knock it out with something big, so I'll worry about that once I've been paid for all the barghests I'm gonna end up getting."

Aleph says, looking up at Sophie, quite sincere, even if what she is saying is a bit unusual. "I like lots of detail, but I wouldn't want to be around it all the time. It's tiring." Come to think of it, this mindset might explain her clothing choice.

The combination of sword flailing and glowing light forces the attacking dog to back off, while the one lacking any control of its head manages to get caught in the light and simply disintegrate all together. The last dog snarls at them a little more, then turns and flees, leaving them alone in the dark intersection.

"That makes sense. Doesn't the Remorhaz have some sort of heat thing, though? That could make transport tricky."

Amil's arm looks... kind of mauled. So does her leg. Not the best condition that she's ever been in. Despite the pain she sits upright and starts shooting at the fleeing hound!

Stupid dog!

With a groan she pushes herself to her feet, reaching out to prod at where she bit and winces in pain. Hopefully the mauling hasn't turned her into a were-shadow hound or something. Amil has enough issues with identity as it stands.

"Well... That was terrible."

Jakus nods, "You're right, it's gonna be tough. I'm intending to pump it with enough tranquilizers to keep it unconscious for a good, long time. That way we can just transport it using a truck or something. That's why the Barghests come first - I can use the money from them to get the equipment I need for the Remorhaz and fire angels."

Genevieve swings down to land by Amil... and promptly lands in a heap. She need more practice landing. After she gets herself sorted out, she changes her broom back into a wand and rushes over to the tyranid girl. "Are you okay?" She asks with concern.

"Okayish," Amil grunts through clenched teeth. Her system is presently being flooded with all sorts of chemicals to wind her up into a killing frenzy and to decrease the pain. Buuut... At the moment she's fighting pretty hard against the whole killing frenzy thing.

Because if she weren't she would probably be eating Gene at the moment.

"I should be good. I'm pretty resilient, all things considered..."

And with that!

She begins shifting out of her human shape and into one that most certainly isn't human. See, she can't really regenerate in her 'disguise' form. There are only so many bio-morphs she can have active at a time.

"Actually pretty simple," Jakus says, "Beat them into unconsciousness and bind them so they can be delivered. That's gonna take some Equipment specialized for the task, but that's the gist of it, anyways"

"That might work. I don't know. Can you knock out something that keeps trying to kill you when you've removed where it stores its brain?"

[Halae]

[Streets]

"There's a limit to what anything can take. If it comes down to it, breaking all its limbs is going to put a dent in its plans for ripping my face off. Another reason to go after the Barghests first."

[Lady Serpentine]

"True."

She pauses for a moment, then grins.

"You know, when going after soul-eating giant dogs is the best option, you know that your job is not going to be fun."

((Deadtime, at least for a bit.))

"Or," jakus says, raising a finger and grinning, "It will be very, very fun."

Now most people would back away quickly if their conversation partner suddenly turned into a horrible monster before their eyes, but Genevieve is not most people.

"Wow, that's awesome! How did you do that?" The young witch says with much enthusiasm.
