"Thanks. I'll be sure to make it up to you later. With extra interest." Ilpholin says with a wink as she slides the paper down into her catsuit and stands up straight, turning to face Gordon.

"Yes I am. Thought the guy who answered the door woulda told you or I would have come let you know personally." Exactly how much of that is true or not, I'm not entirely sure myself.

So hey, sorry about that.

As for A) He's full of psionic craziness. And B) You'll find out in a second as...

The needles were a trap! As in they weren't actually existent. As in they pass through the beast without doing any damage.

Rocid stops his fading out schtick to gape as they decide not to fire on him immediately, giving them ample oppurtunity to change their minds.

"Wait, you mean you haven't shot me yet? What kind of paranoid supergeniuses are you? Comeon, just do it and get it over with. Oooh, use the big gun on Tiny's arm there, it'll do some real damage." As he is saying this, the brain fades back into view, slightly to the left of his original position. Just so much that if a spray of bullets were to penetrate his meaty (ghostly) frontal lobe they would come uncomfortably close to Gordon's current position.

The first needle wrenches itself out of the ground in a spray of earth that means it is most definitely not an illusion. Unless the earth itself was an illusion. But no matter, it is brandished before the seemingly suicidal brain like a rapier.

"Take your best shot... Pansy. Get past me and get in free~."

Megan tries to drag Seltz inside AMEN.
"Let's go, this jerk isn't worth the trouble."
As she probably passes by Rocid she looks at him.
And she just frowns.
Then she whispers into Seltz's ear. And this means none of the: PCs comment on it even though there's no way in hell that they could have heard it type stuff.
"Send the monster back to you-know-where and have him go down the loading bay's cargo elevator to the chamber on Floor 11. No one will be able to get him there and it was prepped to hold him."

Brian notes Moff's ogling of his Bryl Creme'd hair and huffs a little. No appreciation for taste in that one!
Then he just grins at Magtok.
"No, you won't be delaying establishing a third in command, because the position just got filled."

Magtok abruptly ceases everything he's doing and just stares blankly at the newcomer. He stares, not saying anything at all, even long after he normally would've said something, before finally shaking his head, trying to suppress a torrent of giggles.

"You're not...you're not seriously serious, right?"

There is no way Maggy can see anyone else in this organization following this guy's orders, not even the smelliest of the Moffs. Hell, he looks about as dishonest as a puppy, and just as deadly. There's no way that guy is anything but ridiculous. He almost wishes Rot was still around, so someone could properly make an example of this nincompoop.

"He means Ilpholin, Maggy. Duh." Moff says.

Ilpholin looks around and gives a minor shrug.

"Well since it's just been seconded and thirded, I suppose I'll take the job."

Brian narrows his eyes at Magtok, and from his belt, grips two small, metal cylinders.
"I'm very serious. Anybody want to find out how serious I am? Starting with you, Magtok, seeing I assume you have all those clones I learned about in the future?"

Of course, Ilpholin would do nicely in the job too, but he has wounded male pride! Magtok is giggling at him!

From the entrance where Rocid is being rebuffed by the two scientists and consquently will let them pass, a voice shouts out.

"Are we callings dibs on ranks? I want to be thirteenth in command!"

And then he receeds back into the failed suicide attempt's deadtime.

Magtok rolls his eyes. Well, just the one eye. The other is just a solid red, so it's not like anyone would ever notice if it rolled. On the bright side, it looks like he can hold off on either siding with or against Ilpholin's bid for power for the time being. Unfortunately, it looks like someone is going to be tearing out his rib cage today.

"Go ahead, future boy. Show me how serious you are."

Ugh, let's just get this over with. Magtok stays right on the couch, mentally perusing a list of painkillers, on the off-chance this guy tries to draw things out.

Ilpholin steps a few paces back. She was just screwing with the new guy, but there's one thing for certain and that is he's not getting it. What with being new and all. She won't be horribly offended if Magtok picks a Moff. For obvious make-out purposes.

She leans against the wall, out of the way.

Brian smirks, squeezes the cylinders...

...yup. Plasma swords. Two of them. Both gold.

"Oh please. If killing a Magtok gave you rank, then we'd all be obeying Rot. Lime, Cyan, act as human shields, wouldja?" Moff says.

The two henchmen sigh and go to stand between Magtok and Shiny Sword Guy.

Gordon narrows his eyes with the insulting exchange, then the new guy offers to cut Magtok down to size, which puts a smile on his face. He stands back, this should be good.

"Boys, let Lord Magtok stand up for himself."

[Lord Magtok]

Magtok reaches into his robe, pulling out what appears to be some kind of strangely biological gun, which he just sorta quietly plops into the palm of his hand, casually admiring the craftsmanship of the firearm in an effort to snub Brian's attempt at intimidating him.

"It's just Magtok. The Lord bit is appreciated, but really not necessary. And if anyone wants to try and stick a warm butterknife through my lungs, they're welcome to give it a shot."

Nope, he's still not getting off the couch. That lazy bastard.

[Reinholdt]

Main Room

"Right. So, I don't think Gordon needed to say anything more to me." Ilpholin says, having waited in case he did. "So I'll let you boys argue this out and go actually accomplish something. Squiggles!"

Mister Squiggles climbs down from the ceiling and Ilpholin climbs up. Barring something else, the two will head on out. Time to go rescue Rot.

Well goddamn, that was fast. At least the guy had the decency to hold off on executing him right away, though, cutting the gun before even a single shot could be pumped out of it. As for what happens to the damaged gun itself...well, that's going in Wolfy's next post. Take it away, Wolfy!

Main Room - Biogun

Fortunately for Magtok, the gun cost Pat nearly nothing and is easily regrown. Also fortunately for Magtok, the front half of the pistol dies. Unfortunately for Magtok, there's some slight pain from the feedback functions. Overall though, the most unlucky person here, is Brian.

As its being cut, several nerves short out, causing muscles inside to spasm uncontrollably, firing a single capsule out at the attacker before the lightsabre finishes cutting through. That capsule will explode into a noxious smelling powder upon contact that'll cause severe nausea.

The first explosive reaction happens as soon as the front falls away. It's minor, just a pop and some sparks as the sodium inside reacts to the moisture in the air. However, it is enough to weaken the one chemical storage cell that was under high pressure. As soon as the sparks fall, there's an audible hiss before a spray of a pale yellow-green mist erupts out. It's short lived, but now that there's no barrel, it covers a large angle.

It's never a good idea to slice open a miniature chemical weapons plant.

Brian staggers backwards. Coughing.
...and vomiting.

Gordon quickly uses his grapple gun to get up to the ceiling, out of the field of the chemicals.

"Boys, get the 'clean up experiment gone wrong' kits out, we're going to need them!"

A group of henchmen all come in with buckets of water to pour over Brian, the vomit and everywhere anything got spilled onto.

Aaugh! Future-vomit! It's like regular vomit, only worse! Everything about this is terrible, terrible! First the acid, then the burning, then the vomit...why must life be so awful and cruel and miserable to him?!

"Oh gods, what did you just-"

"Not water, people. Forces fields and fire, that's the best way to clean these these things up!"

Gordon puts an arm in front of his face, this is going to bad.

Most of the henchmen take warning and don't splash their water.

Unfortunately, DimGray is pretty dim and FireBrick is about as thick as one. Both of them let fly with their water.

*sploooosh KABOOOOOOOOOOOM*

The Moff! The Moff! The Moff is on FIRE! And screaming. A lot. Oh wait, the screaming stopped. Probably because his lungs got burnt up.

Eh, it's just a Moff. There's plenty more.

Gordon blinks as his clothes are set on fire.

"Do I still have eyebrows?"

Then he drops from the ceiling to run to get stuff to put out his clothes.

I'm not seeing any cyborg around here. Huh. That means either Magtok went up in smoke when everything started exploding, or immediately relocated to a different part of the base. Probably the latter.

"Fudging hell. Is it over?"

Oh hey, it was the latter. In fact, there he is now! Crawling about under a table in the kitchen, looking like he'd just seen a ghost, and clutching the unwounded hand which had been told to feel pain when the gun got cut in half. He knows what having parts and such sliced off feels like, and since he still hasn't gotten around to looking at the hand, he's just running on the assumption that it got cut off along with the gun, too.

Meanwhile, where the newcomer stood, is now...
...a puddle of melted clothes.

Outside

The spider mine can't be shaken of easily, but since you take your hand of it will open again. Zefir graps into his pocket. He activates something, but Prometheus can't know that. He takes out some bubble gum and eat them.

"So these guys should raid the remant ammonation. I just hope the giants He is preparing are more competent than three dozen guys and a few cars."

He then tries to walk of through the free gap between the guards. Either if someone follows or not.

Seltz nods, and will activate the monster to leave again, taking a longer detour

"we could do with Staring work on the test type soon though..." she takes megan by the hand, and enters

Rocid is too distracted by the Moffsplosion to do anything but let them by, but when he stops gawking at the pretty colors his forebrain wrinkles in what would be a grin.

"Oh I like these two... they're gonna be barrels of fun..." Hey, would you look at that, the 24 hours on Rocid's smiley speech ran out.

Louder, he voices his confusion to the crowd in the main room.

"Wait, did someone break physics again? Since when did water explode? Hey, what if we turn on all the taps in Remnant all at once... Then no more problems, right?"

The crazy train brain will float over to the couch and pluck a hopefully unharmed dvd from the twisted shrapnel of the tv.

"So, who wants to see Stu eat it in spectacular fashion?"
