Gus recites his address to Talnissa - hope she memorizes it in one shot, because otherwise she'll have to chase him down - and while Vasquez is in the ladies room, zips off to Arcane threads.

When she returns, he's wearing a kimono, and holding out a shopping bag for her. In it will be gorgeous silk kimono for her, as well as sandals and a pair of sensible panties in roughly the right size. "Sorry, I didn't know your bra size," he says with a wink.

Vasquez rolls her eyes at the comment, not really bothered by it, and takes the clothing. She'll head back to the bathroom and change, repositioning the weapons she's carrying, and dumps her old clothing in the bag. Sure, she could just throw them away, but she didn't want to risk anyone getting a hold of them. She'll just incinerate them when she gets home anyway.

Moments later she's back at Gus' side, bag of clothing in hand as they walk to the restaurant.

...back in front of the Menagerie. On his way out of the portal Waldorf stumbles and nearly falls flat on his face, but Rita is immediately there to catch him. In fact, quite a few of the family is here. Crowded around the doorway stands a massive russian man, a thuggish looking street tough, Nate, who is back to looking like a scholarly old monk, a rather poncy looking blonde man with a dueling scar over one eye, a succubus filing her claws, and two more undisguised floating brains, one emitting a soft blue light and the other a dull greenish brown.

If any of the three figures is particularly good at psionics, they may notice that only Rita, Waldorf and Nate are physically present. The rest are astral projections.

They're fairly good, so they might be able to tell. But they don't really care that much, and certainly aren't actively checking.

Gus walks into Hooters, with Vasquez on his arm, both of them dressed in kimonos. "We'd like a table for two-whooo, two-who."

Nate steps up. "So what do you say? We're asking if you three would care to be connected to our thoughtweft. It won't add the same kind of link that you have with each other, but if you ever need one of us, we'd know, and be able to find you. There's no mental conversation or sharing of memories, so you don't have to worry about catching our crazy."

Jakob interjects here, "It would be great honor if you accept. Jakob thinks you are much more worthy than vampire girl." That earns him a glare from the ponce, but the rest of them remain silent.

The other two stay silent for now; the three are clearly discussing it amongst themselves.

"Our previous honorary family member. She just took over a bar who's owner has deadtimed. We forced her to accept the bond so we can keep her out of trouble. She will be Alot of trouble." Jakob almost sounds... sullen at this. Clearly he didn't agree with how Ceres handled that situation.

They continue to converse amongst themselves.

After around ten minutes, if they weren't interrupted, they say

"We accept your offer."

"Then let this spell bind our minds eternally. Forver shall we be there, this we pledge."

A cacaphony of voices assaults the minds of anyone near. Waldorf begins the spell like a conductor, making sweeping gestures with his right hand as his left twitches up and down erratically. A line of brilliant white light appears between the Fiskes and reaches out a tendril to attempt to connect with the three figures. If they accept it, the light will fade and the spell will be completed.

They accept it.

Then they are now part of the group now.

"We're honored by your acceptance. If there's anything you ever need, we'll know."

The astral projections begin fading and everyone there besides Rita begins to walk back into the store, while she just stands by the door, waiting for the next customer. Back to business as usual.

"And we were honored by your offer."

The three begin to walk off, unless something else happens here.

Nope, no one stops them, although if they care to look they'll see Waldorf has vanished again.

They notice, but he does that, so they simply continue on their way*.

*Unless you're setting up a plot hook or something.

Gold plated undead merchants? Well, now she had seen everything.

"Food I guess, what are you serving exactly?" Deva asks with some hesitation, she had been interacting with some type of humanoid mouse for quite some time so talking to a golden skeleton couldn't be much stranger right?

The skeleton laughs, a bit like the sound of a festival rattle. "My humble cart has many things. Here, try some, on the house." He offers her a few slices of dried papaya.

Gus walks into Hooters, with Vasquez on his arm, both of them dressed in kimonos. "We'd like a table for two-whooo, two-who."

((Okay, I nearly bust a gut laughing.))

A great tawny colored owl at the door bobs its head. "Hoo! Right, this way." It takes to wing, showing them to a table in the center of the room. "I am Takara, whoo will be serving you tonight. What can I get for you-whoo?"

No he just has business elsewhere. Rita waves at them cheerily as they look back though.

They wave back, going to the Neon Coliseum.

Vasquez picks up a menu, looking it over as she sits across from Gus. "I'll take the sirloin, rare. And a beer." She says after a moment. It wasn't anything special, but she needed to feel...well, manly after being turned rainbow.

"Sweets!!" Tracer squeaks, attempting to hop up onto the cart, sniffing ecstatically. Y'know.. Giving him sugar is probably a terrible idea. He's hyper enough without it. "Do you have marzipan? What about maple candy?!"

Also, to clarify, Tracer isn't anthropomorphic. He's just a mouse who happens to be stronger than normal and able to speak. Physically, the only differences between him and a normal mouse is his front paws. He has tiny little thumbs.

"Make it a pitcher of beer, and a sirloin for me as well. And go ahead and bring out a platter of wings." Gus says cheerily.

Then he starts nervously fiddling with the silverware and various items on the table, before he blurts out the question. "What does Jakey tell you about me?"

"Hoo! We'll get that right out to you-hoo!" The tawny colored owl flies off, and delivers a pitcher of beer in a few minutes, and the plate of wings a few minutes after that. The steaks themselves come out not long after that.

Santa Muerte laughs. "No, my little friend, but I do have molasses toffee and sugarcane. Would you like one of those?"

An old elf walks into the store, walking briskly up to the counter and looking around.

A tall, broad, ancient elf enters the store. He looks around for the manager, hoping to get this done quickly.

The warforged is standing behind the counter. The first thing he does is wave to the old elf, and says, "Hello, what can I help you with today?"

As he does this, he looks through his sky blue glasses at the elf. It should detect all but insanely powerful magic, and allow him to discern their utility.

Teq looks at Azik appraisingly, then pulls a shirt and a pair of thin pants from his coat. Folded neatly. His spectacles glint as he leans forward a little.

"I need these enchanted. Bulletproof, fireproof, and preferably resistant to any other attack based on kinetic energy."

The only magical thing on Teq right now is a symbol on his left palm. A broken circle. It carries an aura of death and suffering. He appears to be blessed by the same power, though it doesn't appear wholly divine in nature.

"Difficult, Time Consuming, and Costly. Are you entirely sure that these have to be entirely immune? What you have described could be easier achieved by purchasing armor from Erin's Emporium," Azik says, looking over the clothing.

How could a skeleton laugh? Then again, how could it speak? She wasn't exactly asking the right questions here.

Deva accepts the papaya without any questions and takes a bite out of it. Her player have no idea what that kind of fruit tastes like however.

"So... lot of business here huh?" She asks the skeleton.

It's kind of difficult to describe the flavor of papaya. Sort of a buttery sweetness, with a kind of "tropical" taste to it. It might take a little getting used to, but papaya is pretty good stuff.

Santa Muerte gives a loose jawed grin. Somehow. It probably looks pretty much like his skull normally does, but you get the feeling that he is smiling. "Oh, yes, business is very well. Many people need a little slice of happiness in this place. And how about you? Is your life doing well?"

While any other woman would make up that Jake probably says nice things about Gus, that he doesn't mind too much, Vasquez knows better. First, even though Gus falls for jokes like a child, is far from being so ignorant as to believe that Jake doesn't mind him.

That, and she doesn't believe in pulling punches most of the time.

As they wait for the food, she's quiet for a moment as she arranges her own silverware. "He worries about you. About who he thinks you are, what you do, did, or might do in the future. He spends a bit of time apologizing on your behalf, but with any luck..." she says as she pulls out the camera and holds it up, emphasizing it. "With any luck, this can help change all of it."

"Yeah, I guess he thinks I ruined his life," Gus says. He reaches across the table to take her hand, just to touch it. Just because he likes to feel connected to her. "I guess I did. But he still takes care of me. He didn't have to do that."

"Armor needs repairs. And armor isn't always concealable, especially for the qualities I need." Teq attests, hands flat on the counter. A small frown hangs on his face. "However, if Erin's sells magical materials..."

"Very well then," Azik says, "I do believe Erin deals in some magical equipment, but not something like this. Besides, if she did, I'd still offer a lesser price, despite it still being quite high."

He scratches his chin, thinking, "I can have the enchantments completed in two weeks. I ask for half the cost now, for time spent and being able to gather the materials I need. The rest can be paid once the enchantments are complete."

"However, if you are open to it, I have another option. The clothing would be, for the most part, mundane. However, if an attack such as the ones you are trying to defend against were struck against you, the clothing would activate, and for the next twenty minutes they would match your specifications. after that, they would take several hours to recharge, but would be reusable in that sense. This would cost significantly less, and would require less time to build."
