"Um... actually, a while back I decided that if I ever got a wish I would politely turn it down. I made that decision before I came to the Nexus. It just seemed to me that people who made wishes wound up in trouble."

A odd moment for Harnel to ponder that.

"I think that you might want to just wish for her to stay out of your life and the life of you wife and all your descendants."

She shrugs.

Harnel indeed thinks about that for a moment, "Certainly a good idea. Thank you... We may also want to get Libra to send you back at this point. Where were you when you get called here?"

She sighs and looks around. "How do I get roped into these things? Not this exactly, but crazy stuff with supernatural powers."

She stands up and shrugs.

Harnel just looks at Kate, a flat level look, which should be easily interpreted as 'this is the Nexus. You're really asking that?'

She gives him a "I don't get that I'm a PC" look. This may come off as general bewilderment or the "confused NPC" look.

"I work at MagMart for an insane, market-savy cyborg... that also appears to have clones everywhere. I am literally the least dangerous employee in the store. I have been offered a spot on the riverside court after a masquerade. I room with a... well, I know that the Nexus is weird, but can't I live with the weirdness I have as opposed to having more piled on?"

She sighs.

Harnel hinks about that for a moment. All the insane stuff he's been through, both in the Nexus and elsewhere, "Yeah, probably."

Kate sighs. The fourth wall gives no answers nor even betrays a nervous shifting. The guys keeping that thing solid are pros.

"I guess now we just have to wait until she sends me back, huh?"

"Alright, that's better. So apparently if we don't win this fight she..." Kirk gestures vaguely toward Cessie's arena. "...loses her unborn children because of some crazy and powerful being. Hopefully that gives you a vague idea of what's going on here." Clearly Wenomir should surrender now and believe all Kirk's half truths.

"You make it all sound so simple but it's really hard just sending you here and back, I can't even understand how I do it with this brain! I just know it's hard." Libra's voice can be heard within the arena as she herself appears before Kate and Harnel dressed in her usual clothes.

"One fight to go and it looks like we won't have our end battle."

She turns briefly to Kate, "And I think your hilarious, don't worry."

[Cessie VS Ilpholin]

Very well! And the drow is sent back where she came from.

Cessie let's out a sigh and lowers herself down at the ground, closing her eyes in a short prayer to Artaris.

What Versus Quinn

There is a loud yawn, "Mmm... guess you won then. Bye."

And unless Quinn protests, she will be send back to GloG. Without her bra.

Libra will appear a moment later holding said bra in her hand. "Ewww!" The oni throws it away in disgust and turns to the remains of What. "Don't worry, I thought you were more interesting then her anyway so you'll get a resurrection!"

"I wonder if I could pull off one of those 'jokes' before I do it though..." Libra looks thoughtful for a while, "Umm.... time to patch your squash? Let me gourd that jack in your lantern..." She stops herself and stares accusingly at the corpse. "This isn't easy you know?! Oh to heck with it, I'll just bring you back anyway."

The oni kneels down and touches the little that remains of what, bringing him back to the condition he was just before the fight (unless his player protests, then it can malfunction).

[The Skirmish Returns]

The initial disarray of the skirmish group is now done, and their slow retreat from Will's whirling figure is more of a 'prevent damage' then anything else.

Behind the other group from EtherAin follows their mercenary, watching carefully for anything to happen..

Behind in the bushes, one signal mage nods to Lord FeyClaw, The lord nods to the others. "Now."

And then, all hell breaks loose.

Quinn is probably inside with the K'zin at this point, and Lord EtherAin. The central Group appears out of no-where, small hand-guns and high-powered bows raining hell upon the defensive skirmish group, including Will. The cover-fire allows the Skirmish group to retreat.(FeyClaws skirmish group, not EtherAin's)

And then the Flankers appear. Covering the distance between the tree-line and the wall takes some time, but the artillary and bolts from the walls don't slow the charging group. Once they reach the walls energy ramps are quickly set up, and countered. FeyClaw troops war on the battlements, looking for that one edge advantage. Molodai would find herself first attacked by the covering fire from the Flanking groups, although the battlements were there for a reason, and then by the first wave of attackers on her wall. A smaller swordsman and a human with a blade that cuts the first elf on the wall down in one blow. The cold eyes hold little warmth as he stands, blood on his blade.

On the other side of the wall, where Jakob is(He's on the wall, right? Otherwise disregard this.), is also assaulted. The first across the wall is a larger warrior with a tower-shield still being unslung as he vaults onto the battlements.

Danish and Jaques would find themselves in the initial fight with the two skirmish parties, and then the plan was to divide the defenders on a third front with the main assault group.

(All PCs accounted for, correct? Remind me if they haven't been.)

For now I'll say that Jakob has surmounted the wall again, as if I remember correctly he had gone down to the pile of logs he had stacked up in my last post. In his hands a likely log sits, about as big around as a normal man. With a grin and a fierce cry of rage he swings it down at the shield bearing enemy, hoping to crush him under his own shield.

Quinn flies over to Lord EtherAin.

"Okay, I have good news and bad news. Bad news? I'm pretty much out of magic. Good news? I can still fight. Where should I help the defense?"

Quinn looks...swashbuckling. Much more so than a faerie should be able to.

Wenomir looks suspiciously at Kirk. This is horrible... provided you're telling the truth. Either way, this being has to be put down for everyone's good. But I suppose there's no point fighting for this thing's amusement. But first, tell me how all of this happened. Is this part of Harnel's crazy wish to become a dragon?

Kirk raises an eyebrow. "You know Harnel then? It was though. He came to me saying he needed my hat for some crazy scavenger hunt thing. Apparently things went downhill from there."

Wenomir quite literally facepalms. He really doesn't have the sense gods gave dirt sometimes. Oh, well. We'll discuss what to do with this insane being once we're back in Watchtower. For now, I surrender.

One of the mystic hands attempts to grab hold of the guy's hair and pull his head back painfully, so his neck doesn't break. If that fails, they'll stop his fall about an inch from the floor. Slaves don't escape the fate Elezibethele has chosen for them that easily.

Hermitage of Dalachrech- Azurelle

"Excellent. Now that that's out of the way, open your mouth." If the wounded slave does as she is asked, Azurelle will murmur a prayer to Dalachrech, asking Him to repair the damage to the slave's mouth. The healing magic will tingle unpleasantly, but should repair the holes in the tongue quite well. The spell will also spread to the other areas Azurelle has abused, and heal damage there too, with the same unpleasant tingle.

"Excellent. Please, follow me and I'll take you to the first area of study." The Encyclopede will walk through the doorway into the corridor and through a door at the far end. Beyond that is a massive chamber filled with shelves made of various stones. Most of the books are actually engraved slabs, clay tablets, or beaten metal. This chamber deals primarily with the Elemental Plane of Earth, its features, settlements, cultures and inhabitants, plus reasons for visiting and various methods of reaching it without utilising spells (most involve digging).

I suspect this joke will fall flat. Most of Reinholdt's jokes usually do. He really needs to find a better audience.

Also, the Encyclopede told Reinholdt that the only way to the Wikipede was past the engine room, yet they've just reached the library from the Wikipede without passing the engines. Also, the door at the far end of the corridor has disappeared.

The Encyclopede tilts its head to one side. "I'd suggest you keep away from the drinks brewed by the trolls of a world called the 'Discworld', however. They tend to melt solid stone, and the effects on human anatomy is far worse. Though as a non-human, you are potentially safe from that. How good are you at resisting chemical acids and poisons with no organic products?"

"Most of the beverages is compatible with a human's anatomy, don't worry. Just not all of it. So where would you like to go first?" I don't think Reinholdt made it to Z, since there's no way to skip letters. Which means zombie creation's out, as is Zulu culture and some of the books about courgettes, as the vegetable is known as a 'zuchinni' in America.
