If the demon failed to escape Sarget's foot it will be smashed into a bloody mess, not even it's demonic essence seem to be able to save it from, That doesn't stop it from pour out of what's left of the demon though, creating a black pond of demon blood.

Eventually the corpse will start to dissolve into thin air, returning to Cuthun.

The gnoll will take a rather nasty bite in Harnel's neck and will probably infect the wound as well considering what it have been eating.

Then it's throat is thorn out and with a desperate yelp it falls to the ground, bleeding to death in moments.

The rest of the gnolls now stand hidden among the trees before they suddenly make a laughing sound and suddenly a group of archer gnolls emerge from the woods. All of them have incendiary arrows aimed at Sarget.

They approach rather carefully however before Skullcrusher appear with a sly grin on his face. "You feel blessing in you, yes? Arrows filled with blood from the dark ones. No cure. You die, or turn like Bloodfang there." The gnoll points at the remains of the demon.

"Mad. Insane. That's what you will be. Unless you surrender. Skullcrusher knows cure."

"You have to try! You want to save that baby of yours don't you girl? I got the feeling those gnolls ain't going to have much mercy for pregnant woman." The goblin argues.

[Halae]

Harnel, having dropped his sword, picks it up again, and goes to put it into his sheathe, weighing his options. He can feel something in his arm where he got hit by the arrow, certainly. Poison then? What has him worried more are the arrows aimed for Sarget.

The half-dragon motions for the treant to stand down. Neither of them has to die today.

As his legs are wounded, Harnel walks forwards toward the gnoll cheiftain using his wings to make sort of hops. He knows that he can stay standing on his legs as is, but it's doubtful he'll be able to walk properly.

"And what do you want?"

[Gullara]

"Live wood doesn't burn easily." Sarget says in a low rumble before Harnel goes to meet the chief. Something to keep in mind. Hopefully Harnel knows not to trust the gnoll in any case.


Sakura looks back at Harnel and Sarget for a long moment before nodding reluctantly and starting to move again. Not that it'd accomplish anything if Sarget dies. If something happens to him, she and the baby can't survive.

"We'll leave the tree alone if the dragonman comes with us, he leave his weapon there and we tie him up. That is the condition. Treeman can leave now if you accept." The gnoll explains. "That is what I want."

Meanwhile the goblin turns and start to limp away once again as fast as he can. "Good choice."

[Halae]

[Rolling Plains]

Harnel looks for a good while at Sarget, and then winks. He has a plan.

He walks up to Skullcrusher, dropping his sword off along the way, leaving it resting on the ground behind him. He walks up to the gnoll quickly and wuitely, using wing aided steps.

For a moment, he wonders if this is a good idea. Certainly not a smart one, but this sort of option didn't leave much room for smart.

Once he's close enough to the chieftain, he opens his mouth as if to say something-

And then breathes fire all over him.

Skullcrusher gives Harnel a suspicious look as he just walks up to him, "You stay there!" He orders, pointing at the half-dragon. If Harnel continues with his plan however Skullcrusher will quickly step back as the half-dragon attempts to breath fire over him. While he manages to avoid most of the burst, he still get's a bit singed.

The rest of the gnolls become rather confused by what Harnel is doing though, are they supposed to aim for him or Sarget?

The chieftain screams something in gnollish as he draws his spear.

Suddenly the archers fire their arrows, aiming for Sarget's leaves and upper trunk. Some of the arrows are even covered in oil which causes them to burn even better. They need to be pretty close to the ent to fire considering the arrows are a bit heavier then normal however. The gnolls seem to make up for this with their quickness though, using hit and run tactics against the slowed ent.

Two gnolls with spears comes rushing out against Harnel to protect their chieftain and there are more gnolls moving about inside the forest. Their eyes glowing in the darkness.

When Skullcrusher tells Harnel to stop, he'll flap his wings to surge forward; the closer he is the more damage the fire will do, after all.

Quickly, in the few seconds he has before gnolls start trying to stab him, he draws a potion out of his belt, save from when he met with Feia, and downs the vial quickly. Now there's only two left. The healing hasn't kicked in yet, but thankfully it'll force the arrows still stuck in him out when it does.

He'll manage to block one spear with his gauntlets, and the other gnoll, though not specifically blocked, will have to deal with Harnel's tail slapping the spear out of the way.

Sarget stomps toward the nearest gnolls, going to swat them and kick them. Many of the arrows will find themselves passing though his branches, there's a lot of empty space there. The ones that do lodge themselves in him he will try and simply wipe away. he can't get them all, but it staves off any big fires.

[Rolling Plains]

The second gnoll loses his spear but leaps at Harnel anyway, going for his feet as more gnolls are about to join the fray.

The first gnoll pulls back his spear and attempts to attack Harnel again with it.

Meanwhile the gnolls attempts to flee into the forest, not having more then one round of flaming arrows until they can lit new ones. One of them isn't fast enough and is subjected to a kick of death from Sarget.

If the ent aimed for the two tall trees over there, he totally just made a field goal.

Skullcrusher seems to retreat back as it appears the ent isn't going down in flames, letting the other gnolls attempt to take down Harnel.

Harnel falls to a knee as the gnoll starts trying to bit his leg off, but this provides an opportunity for the spear coming at him. Harnel will grab the end before it can strike him, and then attempt to redirect the spear down into the gnoll that just sunk it's teeth into his thigh.

Three points!

A few small fires have caught in Sarget's branches, but there's little he can do about them right this moment. So instead he moves toward Harnel, hopefully intimidating the remaining gnolls to fleeing.

The spear is redirected and then driven into the other gnoll that with a yip dies rather quickly. The spear wielding gnoll decides to ditch the spear and make a run for it as Sarget approaches, the other gnolls seem to get the same idea.

But as everything seems fine Skullcrusher unleashes a final arrow aimed for Harnel before he retreats with the others.

Harnel will manage to get a gauntlet in the way of the final arrow before he collapses on the ground. The demon essence is starting to get to him pretty bad.

Jeremy's Realm

"And the long version? Specifics if you can." He says with a slight smile. "Allies, enemies, etc."

"That...could take a short while," Shawna admits.
Before, taking a deep breath, starting in on telling the tale. of WATCHTOWERs and Remnants, of insane cyborgs, catpeople, insane cyborg catpeople, demons, troglodyte bartenders, apocalpti, and other things about the Cliff's Notes of the Nexus.

Jeremy will notice, however, that she leaves out anything and everythign about Vengeance.
That is not her tale to tell.

Sarget moves over to Harnel, but he's clearly having some trouble. The few small flames in his upper branches are starting to get not small, and he can't reach them all. Hopefully Harnel can do something, and fast.

Well, looks like it’s up to forty gold now. It’s a game Magtok’s almost certainly going to lose, and for once, he doesn’t even care in the slightest. Money well spent, as far as the cyborg’s concerned. It’s probably going to be end up being invested in some sort of gorgeous dress or acid-spitting death cannon anyway. Or maybe a weird combination of both, like gorgeous acid-spitting dress armor.

…Dress armor for Pat, I mean. Lord Magtok does not wear dresses. =I

Anyways, Magtok doesn’t have quite the respiratory system advantage that Pat, being only human and whatnot. That said, his prosthetic lung performs admirably with what little oxygen it’s been allotted. Probably doesn’t hurt matters that only half of Maggy’s body even has a need for oxygen, too. He’ll still be panting for breath when they’re done, though.

"*Cough* Alright, you *gasp* win, you win!"

Someone definitely overestimated their own capabilities, and it shows. As much as Magtok refuses to admit it, he’s got limits. The tin man’s pretty lucky the MagCorp wasn’t in a partnership with any NPC film studios with tons of staff this time around, or by the time the credits would’ve finished, he might’ve fainted right there in Pat’s arms. Would’ve been a hell of an awkward thing to explain to the EMTs, nurses, Magfirmary bots, or whoever he’d be waking up to. Whoever would be in charge of making sure he’s alright, judging him and his wussy cyborg lungs as he do so.

Cinemag Theatre

That's too bad. Because then Pat could have nursed him back to health, which he'd more than likely enjoy. She'd have been very affectionate.

After the kiss, she smiles and leans close to kiss him on the cheek gently. "Where to now, Mistah M?" She asks joyfully.

Jeremy's Realm

Jeff gives a low whistle at the end. "Makes me glad that all we got dealt was zombies." He then looks at Jeremy and raises an eyebrow. "And what have you been doing?"

With a sigh, Jeremy gets into it, going slow and answering questions when his father breaks into the conversation. He starts with how he'd been captured, tortured and given another body and finishes through his time as Vengeance.

At the end, his father is quiet for a little while, but reaches over and squeezes his son's shoulder. His facial expression is neutral, and other than the gesture, its impossible to tell whether he approves or not.

As the two are worrying about the fires they and Sakura can hear thunder in the distance. It looks like clouds are gathering at the horizon, looks like a storm is coming as it's starting to get close to midnight.

"Crap, not another storm, we had one just two days ago." The goblin whines as he see lighting strike in the distance. "We better find some shelter and fast, these storms move unnaturally fast."

[Halae]

[Rolling Plains]

Harnel doesn't move. everything seem blurry to him and he's struggling to keep his eyes open. At the least, the healing potion is beginning to take effect, forcing arrows out of the wounds he's taken, but it does nothing for the poison that is demon blood.

He can see Sarget moving, but it's like looking through fog to him, and thinking through cotton; nothing is clear. It's all blurry and he can't even get up the energy to move his limbs.

He'll be completely unconscious by the time Sarget gets over to him, having fallen into a fevered sleep.

[Rolling Plains]

The treant sees that Harnel can't help him, but is relieved to see the coming storm. As long as he doesn't get struck by lightning, he'll be alright. In the meantime, however, the pain from the fire is quite intense.


Sakura looks around for any potential shelter. Something tells me there isn't a lot to pick from if there's anything at all. "You're right." The dryad nods.

[Shadowcaller]

[Rolling Plains]

Sakura and the goblin start looking for shelter then, "So who's the child anyway? The elves?" He asks with a slight smile, actually trying to cheer her up rather then teasing her.

The clouds are quickly moving towards them however and with them the rain and the thunder. Before they can find any shelter there is a powerful thunderclap parting the clouds as they can see an enormous lighting bolt strike down where Harnel and Sarget should be.

Back there the rain have started falling heavily, putting out the fires which started to spread over the treant just before the lighting struck.

Sarget and possibly Harnel can see a perfectly naked woman with pale blue skin and long black hair standing straight up towards the sky seems to have materialized.

Her eyes basically shoots lighting around her which appears to spread all over her body.

She appears to ignore the half-dragon for now and turn to Sarget, "What happened here?"

[Halae]

[Rolling Plains]

Harnel continues to be unconscious. He doesn't see the naked blue woman.

He can be skipped in following posts, and godmodded as appropriate

Sarget provides a few details. Like why they're going to this grove, and about the demon worshiping gnolls. Enough to give her an idea of what's going on. "I feel weary..." He adds at the end, and it's true. He can't remember the last time he's felt this tired. He knows there's something wrong, just not what.


Sakura, meanwhile, is getting absolutely drenched. She doesn't mind, though. It's not like she's lived with shelter very much. "No, no one around here. His name's Adir. We just got married a little while ago." She wishes he was here right now.

[Shadowcaller]

[Rolling Plains]

It's hard to read the woman's expression but she just nods as Sarget explains what's happened. "I see, in which direction did the gnolls run? I'm not sure how much I can do for you now, but more mortals are on their way here. They can probably heal you. Unless your close to death? I can hardly tell sometimes." The elemental woman looks at Harnel again and takes this opportunity to explode a dead gnoll with a lighting bolt, leaving only ashes.

"Uh, okay... well something happened over there now. Some type of lighting." The goblin says, getting all awkward when relationships are being discussed.

But look there! Birds in the distance! There is tree of them, a eagle, a raven and a magpie.

[Gullara]

[Rolling Plains]

Sarget gestures in the direction the gnolls went. "I will recover. The young one needs attention, however." He says, looking down at Harnel. At least he looks stable.

Sakura looks back toward where they came from, her worry no less than before. "I hope thy're okay..." At least she knows nothing fatal has happened to Sarget yet.

[The Bushranger]

[Jeremy's Realm]

As Jeremy tells his tale, Shawna reaches to take his hand and squeeze it gently, looking at him with an expression of support, caring, encouragement, and love.

"It can be hard. But it can also be the most wonderful thing of all," she says softly when he finishes.

[Shadowcaller]

[Rolling Plains]

The raven decides to land near the goblin and Sakura when it suddenly turns into a young naked raven haired elven man. "It's not good being out in the rain in your condition, I think I could warm you up if... um, it's a spell." He says awkwardly, scratching the back of his head.

The goblin chuckles but seem to be rather pleased. "Never been so good seeing a naked elf, you damn hippies are alright."

The elf actually blushes a bit at that comment.

Where Sarget is the eagle and the magpie lands, turning into Azalea and another elderly elven male with white long hair and yellow eyes.

"And there they are. I must look for my young. Farewell young one!" And with a loud BANG she's gone again.

Azalea takes a few deep breath's. "Came... as fast... as I could..."

"It's okay child, you did your best." He comforts her before turning to Sarget, "What ails you great tree? Some sort of poison?"

[Gullara]

[Rolling Plains]

Sakura looks relieved to see a friendly face. "Oh, yeah that would be great. But we can't worry about me right now. There was fighting, and my friends might be hurt."


"I suspect it is. Do not concern yourself with me. I will recover. Harnel needs your attention now." Sarget isn't sure how severe the poison is, and if it isn't just his nature that is keeping him alive and conscious. Then again, he knows it might be effecting Sakura too. Harnel is still in the most need of immediate attention, however.

[Shadowcaller]

[Rolling Plains]

"The others are going to take care of them, I'm checking up on you. Either of you wounded? I saw that one of you were limping."

The goblin coughs, "That would be me."

"Very well, let me heal you..." The druid bends down and gently touches the goblins foot which instantly seem to get better.

"Ah, some of that fancy magic, could be darn useful..." He comments. Then the druid turns to Sakura,

"Do you need aid?"

Back where Harnel, Sarget and the other two druids are, the elder gently bends down to Harnel and attempts to heal him. This should at least cure the exhaustion the essence is causing. "Let's see if this works..."

"What happened after I went for help?" Azalea asks Sarget.

[Halae]

[Rolling Plains]

Harnel wakes up slowly and groggily. Wounds are healed, but he still feels sluggish. When he hears Azalea's question, he says, "Bunch of damn gnolls and their demon, that's what happened. Managed to kill a few, and the demon itself, but honestly I'd rather not do that again."

[Gullara]

[Rolling Plains]

Sakura shakes her head tiredly. "No... I'm just tired. After I get some sleep I'll be fine." She assures him. She's feeling more exhausted than she probably should, but she's attributing that to everything that's happened today.


"Yes, a goblin came to us asking for help. Harnel went to investigate some kind of creature and we were attack soon afterward." The treant replies.
