"Let's go find them then!"

Tirin smiles at Elena, and starts to steer the boat to shore.

Elena will follow him anywhere and everywhere.

[Lady Serpentine]

[Solarium]

He'll gather the supplies they'll need, including a map, and then they presumably set out to find the Ousters.

Elena remembers to grab extra ammo out of her duffle bag before they leave the boat this time. She also takes out a machete and straps it to her back.
She then also slings he duffle bag over her shoulder.
"So are these Ousters a friendly people?"

[Lady Serpentine]

[River Tethys]

"To us, yes."

[Mindfreak]

River Tethys
"And what do you mean by that?"

[Lady Serpentine]

[Solarium]

"They're not exactly on good terms with the main government in this part of space."

[Mindfreak]

[Solarium]

"They're not exactly on good terms with the main government in this part of space."

Solarium
"What did the government do to them that made them unfriendly like that."

[Lady Serpentine]

[Solarium]

"It's sort of odd, but you remember that AI, right? It faked an invasion, getting the government to attack them. Then the Ousters actually did attack, in retaliation, and that's pretty much where things stand now."

[Mindfreak]

Solarium
"Ah. So what do these Ousters look like?"

[Lady Serpentine]

[Solarium]

"That depends. These look like normal humans, but if we end up in a Swarm, or one of their orbital gardens, then they'll be adapted to zero-g and vacuum."

[Mindfreak]

Solarium
"Okay...and you know where they are, right?"

[Lady Serpentine]

[Solarium]

"They should be in the city, or at least have left a message there."

[Mindfreak]

Solarium
"Okay."
She then trudged along to the city with Tirin.

[Lady Serpentine]

[Solarium]

The city appears to be fairly large, and looks like most modern cities, except for the wall.

When they get near the gate, they'll see armored figures pointing some sort of weapons at them.

"Halt! Who are you, and what business do you have here?"

[Mindfreak]

Solarium
"We're tourists. We came to see things called 'Ousters'?"

[Lady Serpentine]

[Solarium]

"You're speaking to them. And if you're tourists, where are you from that you'd be allowed to come out here?"

[Mindfreak]

Solarium
"Hell if I know. We came from the River Tethys though."

[Lady Serpentine]

[Solarium]

"Then you can come in."

The gates start to open.

Jeremy's Realm

Jeremy will drive for the better part of the day, well past dawn, noon, and nearly till dusk. He could speed up easily in the car, but decides to take it easy and safe. The terrain slowly changes from overgrown farmland into something hillier with denser forests. At one point there's a long bridge covered with rusted out cars, but Jeremy just gently nudges them aside, scraping the vehicle they're in, but after this long there wasn't much need to keep the aesthetics.

Remarkably, there doesn't seem to be much in the way of undead presence. None at all in fact.

After the bridge, he takes the back roads, avoiding the towns and cities as best as possible. As long as the trip is though, Jeremy can't help but try the radio several times, never getting a signal.

Eventually though, near nightfall, he pauses at the end of a well-traveled gravel road, breathing deeply. "Well...just at the other end..." He says, not wanting to end the sentence and still somewhat hopeful.

Jeremy's Realm

Shawna keeps an alert lookout, frowning at the abandoned vehicles, and producing her plasma blade, helping to carve a way through the mess so there isn't too much damage to Jeremy's car.

When they reach the gravel-road, she takes a deep breath, and reaches over to take his hand and squeeze it. "I will be hoping for the very best," she says, not adding that her mind is busily conducting plans for the very worst. "The fact the road appears to be used is a good sign."

"Then you can come in."

The gates start to open.

She will go inside the city

[Lady Serpentine]

[Solarium]

Once they're inside the city, the gates close behind them. It looks fairly normal, as cities go, except that just about everyone is carrying a weapon of some sort, the buildings are covered in metal, and some of the vehicles are rather odd. The flying carpet that just passed them, for example, or magnetic boots that let you climb up the houses.

They, looking rather unusual, get quite a few stares.

"I got an idea! Let's go buy some clothes!"
She didn't like the stares.

[Lady Serpentine]

[Solarium]

"Okay."

If Tirin can tell that the stares are bothering her, he'll add "Though I think it's probably the tails and such, not the way we're dressed."

[Mindfreak]

Solarium
Now she's mad.
She finds the nearest person staring at her and walks over.
"Excuse me, just what the hell is so interesting?"

[Lady Serpentine]

[Solarium]

"You. It's not exactly often we get visitors, much less ones that aren't standard humans."

[Mindfreak]

Solarium
"To be frank, I am human. I simply had things added. Now stop staring, it's rude."
She then stomps away.

[Lady Serpentine]

[Solarium]

The NPC glares at Elena.

Tirin tries to catch up to her.
