Mister Squiggles turns in place, chittering and snapping his jaws at Valente, though nowhere near enough to actually hit him. The spider starts slowly retreating backwards up the wall, chittering and snapping all along the way. But the tactic seems to work.

"It's Magtok, yes."

Okay, so it looks like the name thing is catching on a bit more. That's good news, right?

"I take it you have a reason for inviting me all the way out here."

"Of course, I don't believe it have been too much trouble coming here though? You have come here a couple of times before and then there is Magmart..." Lavthos turns to the cyborg with a grin. "But you have to excuse my manners, I'm Lavthos Reimarch, I doubt you heard about me." He sits down behind his desk with the coffee cup. "I have heard a great deal about you though. Is it true your a so called 'player'? Somehow I can't picture you as one." The vampire looks curiously at Magtok.

Valente keeps it up, and after the spider has been properly scared off he returns to Ilpholin. He kneels beside her, concern clear on his face. "Are you alright?"

Now she gets a closer look at him. He's definitely young. Nineteen years old actually. His eyes are bright red and his incisors are prominent, though not overy long at the moment. He's very very pale, an indication that he should probably feed soon.

Magtok scowls at the hideously ugly vampire fellow. That freaky parasite isn't exactly one to talk when it comes to the ladies, is he? I mean, not even a mother could love a face like that.

"Oh, I don't know, really. Depends on how you'd define 'player', I suppose." Magtok grits his teeth and tries his best to sound casual, barely resisting an incredibly strong urge to stab this stranger in the throat to get him to stop talking.

MagMart

Magtok names one of his MagPhone cell numbers, the one owned by the Riverside MagMart clone, which happens to also be the clone she's talking to right now.

"It's been swell, Samona. Oh, and if you're using a MagPhone and somehow run into trouble, or just feel like burning things, dial that number, and then press #. The phone will start beeping, overheating, and then explode in exactly three seconds after you hit the button. There's a good reason why I had that feature built in, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was."

Sadly, Ilpholin doesn't particularly know much more about vampires than what everyone knows. She figures he's just pale because he never sees a sun.

"Yes... yes, I think so. Thanks to you. It just attacked me out of nowhere. I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't came along." She gives him a beaming smile, followed by an attempt at a massive thank you hug.

[MagMart]

Samona raises and eyebrow. "I'll keep that in mind. Talk to you again soon, Magtok." The vampire turns to leave. Her hips sway back and forth with every st- Oi! Eyes up, Maggy.

Also, she's totally getting one of those phones.

[Westside - Streets]

Valente is hugged! "It was nothing. I couldn't just leave you." He put his own arms around her, a tad awkwardly. He can't help but be painfully aware of her body pressing against his. And she's super hot too.

Ilpholin holds the hug for a while, pressing tight, before finally letting go. Though she goes to give him a kiss on the cheek on the way out.

"Do you think... no, I shouldn't impose on you any further. I'm so sorry for causing such a hassle."

Lavthos chuckles softly, "Never mind then, let's talk about why you are here instead shall we? I understand you have been in contact with Tenebras, is that correct? Cybil here meet that man you send after Rot." He gestures towards the woman behind Magtok who remains as stoic as always.

"As a citizen of Riverside I'm of course concerned about everything that happens here, especially when a major player as yourself comes over. I'd like to know what kind of deal you have with Tenebras in exchange for some more information about the ones your dealing with." The vampire says as he leans back in his chair.

If Valente could find a deity that wouldn't want to damn him, he'd be thanking him/her right now that he isn't able to blush.

"What is it? I'd be glad to help you." He gives her a big smile.

[Reinholdt]

[Westside - Streets]

"Well... if it isn't too much trouble... could you escort me to the hotel [insert hotel name Ilpholin saw around here]?" Unless there are no hotels. Then... ummm... I dunno.

"I'm supposed to meet a friend and don't want her to wait too long, but I'm... afraid to go by myself." She just had a harrowing experience! She looks at Valente with hopeful puppy dog eyes.

"Yeah, sure. I think I know the one you're talking about. Here, let me help you up." Valente will do just that as long as Ilpholin has no protests.

[Westside - Streets]

Ilpholin has none, and is quick to even go to wrap an arm around him as he does so. "Thank you. What should I call my dashing hero?" She asks and will go with him as he leads the way.

He doesn't protest to the arm around him. It's kind of hard to not do the same a little bit, but he's awkward about it. He has a girlfriend after all.

"It's Valente. And, uh, what's your name?"

[Exbourne Manor - Ramiro's Office]

After some more talking or at some later point or whatever, Ramiro is saying something to Mouse in his office. "I have an assignment for you, Mouse. Do you know of the Telasurians in Eastside?"

"Ilpholin." Ilpholin says, making sure they get just a bit more contact than is strictly necessary, releasing a small amount of pheromones to help Valente relax.

Valente might have made an effort to not have so so close, but he's not as keen on protesting now. In fact, he's put his arm around her a bit more. But he doesn't think of anything more than that... at least he's not trying to.

Anyway, the hotel doesn't seem to be far! That's good, though Valente will get nice and pheromoned up. "This is the right place right?" He says, stopping before the door.

"I can't say I know much more than just the name." Mouse admits to her employer.

"Yes, this is it. She should be here already. Let's go see." Ilpholin says, including Valente so he'll come in. Indeed, she smiles at him as the hand around his waist drops and tries to grasp and squeeze his hand, while the other one goes to open the door and lead him inside.

Maggy totally didn't tell her that just so she'd buy a phone and he'd get money and instantly know her number without having to ask for it or wait for her to call first. Nope! Not that at all! Also, on an unrelated now, if she's walking like that and her back is turned, then shut up! Maggy will look where he damn well pleases!

Except he's not looking there. Nope, not at all. Definitely not. She is a gross, unseemly, blood-draining drain cleaner, and scum. Magtok only maintains business relations with scum and villainy, nothing more!

"I'm trying to buy back Rot's freedom on behalf of AMEN," he lies. Magtok hasn't seen any particular reason to trust this guy, and he's also incredibly ugly, too. It's a believable lie, and might even sound convincing to anyone who doesn't already know of his recent feuding with that awful little blood-leeching rodent.

[Westside - Hotel]

"Oh, I suppose I could." Valente lets her take his hand and pull him along. It makes him feel better that her friend will be there. He'd be rather uncomfortable being alone with her. ._.

[Exbourne Manor - Ramiro's Office]

"They are a religion, based out of [insert location of church here]. Overall they strike me as suspicious. Regrettably, I have no concrete evidence to support my suspicions. That's where you come in. I'd like you to gather whatever information you can by whatever means, as long as you remain subtle." Ramiro says.

[Westside - Hotel]

Oh Valente. You silly hopeful person.
Ilpholin heads to the front desk. "Excuse me. My name's Ilpholin. Ummm..." Oh shoot. Who was the other person? "Cessie was supposed to book a room for me and her."

The clerk checks the computer, but shakes his head.
"Sorry miss. No such person has come in here. Maybe under a different name?"

Ilpholin shakes her head and bites her lip, clearly worried for her friend. "Well, I'd like a room for two please then." She says.

[Gullara]

[Westside - Hotel]

"I'm sure your friend will be here soon. Any chance she has a phone you can call her on?" Valente says reassuringly. Riverside can be dangerous, but unless she was strolling around bad neighborhoods, she should be fine. Not actually being anywhere near Riverside helps too.

[Westside - Hotel]

"No. She's one of those magic people who hates technology and progress." Ilpholin says, embellishing.

She takes the key the clerk gives her. "Please tell her where I'm staying." The drow tells him, before going to lead the way to the room, Valente's hand still being held tightly, like she was afraid to let go.

Exbourne Manor - Ramiro's Office

Mouse is silent for a moment, considering it. "I suppose I could try." She says. "Any customs or the like you could tell me about? Or the basis of the religion?"

[Gullara]

[Westside - Hotel]

"Ah, that's too bad." Then he's being brought along to the room. "I guess I can wait for her with you." His voice cracks a bit, and he coughs to cover it up.

"Oh. Thank you. I don't want to be alone right now..." Ilpholin says, in an almost husky whisper as she starts releasing more pheromones.

Also while opening up the door and going to lead Valente into the trap room.

Into the room they go. Valente endeavors to keep his mind on things that aren't curtainous... at all. Of course, trying not to think about something is the best way to think about it.

So small talk it is! "So... what were you meeting your friend for?" He asks.

[Exbourne Manor - Ramiro's Office]

The vampire shakes his head. "We have little information on them. They do have a rather targeted message in regard to vampires, if you understand my meaning. Few religions even tolerate our kind, but it's rarely so blatant."

[Westside - Hotel]

Ilpholin goes to sit down on the bed and leads Valente to do the same. "She's... looking for information on someone. It's... pretty personal." Ilpholin says. None of that yet Valente!

"Thank you so much for staying here with me." Ilpholin gives him a strong smile.

Valente doesn't want any of that! At least, not the rational part of him. Pheromones are doing wonders keeping that part of his brain quiet.

So he sits beside her, his noble intentions still very much dominant. "It was nothing, really. I'm glad to help."

"I see." Lavthos replies shortly. "AMEN trying to buy back Rot's freedom?" He looks thoughtful for a moment. "Hm, too bad. I had hoped for something more... interesting. You sure that's all there is between you?"

Ilpholin ramps up the pheromones now that they're alone in the room. She also scoots closer and goes to lay one hand on his leg, leaning closer to let him look down if he so wishes.

"No really. It meant a whole lot to me. You saved my life! I just wish there was some way I could repay you."
