"Y- yeah, sure. I'll wait." Valente says. After she goes to shower he collects his clothes. A few doubts manage to creep into his mind, but nothing that's going to stop him just yet. She'll find him dressed and ready to go when she's done.

Doubts? Oh no! Ilpholin isn't doing her job perfectly. Well, at least she doesn't know.

Ilpholin gets her shower, comes out, gets dressed slowly, before turning to smile at him. "Ready."

[Gullara]

[Westside - Hotel]

Yes, doubts! Mostly just thinking about how he shouldn't be taking her to the manor. He seems perfectly content to justify doing it, however. Especially when Ilpholin returns.

Valente watches as she dresses, and when she speaks it almost catches him off guard. "Oh, yeah. Let's go." He goes to open the door for her.

[Reinholdt]

HIIIIIISSSSS at the doubts.

Ilpholin gives a little curtsy when he opens the door and heads out, prepared to follow him. Or go beside him as the case may be.

[Hotel -> Exbourne Manor]

And off they go. When they do near the manor again, Valente will start heading toward the front door. Aka, the most conspicuous way to get in.

Of course, if Ilpholin wants to say anything special on the walk over, assume this hasn't happened yet.

Hmm... nothing in particular along the way. It'd be more suspicious to NOT go in the front door. Though... once they're closer.

"I should... wait out here while you found out?" She asks Valente.

The two does not reach the manor unseen. Cybil have taken up the longsome duty of watching the manor considering it seems to be a hot spot for activity at the moment, using a pair of binocular to look down at the entrance.

Valente came by from time to time, but Ilpholine was new. She couldn't watch the manor all the time after all and the drow had come by when she wasn't there.

She takes note of her appearance and waits for something more to happen.

"Yeah, I guess so. I mean, it'd probably be alright if you came in. I'm sure no one would have a problem with you being there." That might just be Valente's rather biased opinion being projected on everyone else, though.

[Reinholdt]

"I don't mind waiting, so long as you don't take too long to get back to me." *seductive smile*

I don't know who Cybil is. >>

"I'll be quick then." Valente almost trips over himself as he hurries toward the manor. He disappears inside a moment later without any trouble.

*pauses just in case*

Few know who she and I just got tired of using 'unseen observer' as an adjective so now continue the darn scene.

She will just be watching the two for now.

Well, then Ilpholin will find a place to sit down and rest while she waits for Valente. She is a bit tired. She hopes she doesn't exhaust herself out before she even finds Rot.

Cybil might notice that a few rooftops away from the manor is a giant dire spider carrying a whip and a stake on its back. Mister Squiggles is following at a safe distance away. If I had remembered to mention it before, Valente might have noticed too. Though he doesn't seem the overly observant type. But the possibility is still there!

Not too long later, Valente returns. He hurries over to her, looking eager. "I never exactly found him, but I'm pretty sure he's there." He begins. "There's definitely something going on, and one of the rooms on the second floor has someone guarding it. He wouldn't tell me anything though." The vampire turns and points out a window. "It's the third one from the right side."

A shoggoth gigantic spider on the roof is something you tend to pay attention to. The vampire stare at the spider as well, guessing the two events are somehow connected.
Looked like something was going to happen soon, a relief considering until now the watch had been rather dull.
Better keep her attention on the nymph for now.

Ilpholin smiles, but there is still a hint of disappointment there. She'll give him a kiss on the cheek anyways, because she still loves and adores him even if he hasn't satisfied her.

That, at least is the implication she wants him to believe.

"Well... what should we do? It'd be wrong to climb up to that room and sneak inside, even if it was for a good cause, wouldn't it?"

Valente glances at the window. "I don't think it would be that bad. We wouldn't be doing anything that wrong." He seems willing to give it a try at least.

[Lord Magtok]

"Fascinating, I had no such intentions at all and yet you jump to that very conclusion. No, I do not mean to insult your sexuality, whatever it might be." He pauses and spins his now empty coffee mug around at the table.
"I did listen to a recording of that book of yours, read up by Pat, an assistance of yours I believe. Lovely voice. It brings up the memory of seeing Gordon visiting Tenebras the other day, were you aware of that?"

Club Pulse

"Yes," Magtok lies again. "I was. He knows me, and trusts that I'd be capable of getting Rot out, but doesn't trust my motives in doing so. Suspects some kind of foul play or trickery, and given my record, I don't blame him for feeling that way."

Pfft, jumping to conclusions. That ugly jerkface set him up for that with the 'player' query, and Magtok refuses to let himself get even a little flustered by that remark. He also refuses to let his mind get sidetracked by any sort of reference to Pat, her voice, or the clone that, miles away, just completely overwhelmed her with an end-of-date smooch.

"What is Club Pulse's connection to all of this, anyway?"

[Reinholdt]

[Exbourne Manor]

"Really?" Ilpholin brightens up almost immediately thanks to the one person who brings a shine to her life and stands up as well. "Ok then. Let's try that."

[Gullara]

[Exbourne Manor]

"Okay, great. We'll have to be quick though. They just got finished installing a new security system. We should be able to get in and out quick though." He pauses, his eyebrows furrowed. "That won't be a problem, right?"

[Reinholdt]

[Exbourne Manor]

"No. No problem at all."

Ilpholin suddenly tilts her head as if listening to something.

"Oh! Wait here for one second, ok? I'll be right back." Ilpholin turns to walk swiftly the other way, unless Valente protests.

[Gullara]

"Uh, okay. I'll be right here." And he will indeed. What could she be doing?

[Reinholdt]

Ilpholin darts off and around a corner.

Mister Squiggles starts climbing down to meet her and give her her stuff back, once she's out of sight of Valente.

She'll be back next post barring something happening.

Nothing happens! Valente waits dutifully, never even questioning how this could possibly be a good idea. Not again, rather.

Ilpholin returns, with her usual gear plus the stake.

"Great news and bad news. Cessie's all right and got the gear. Bad news is she's so wiped from over using magic that she needs to hide and rest. She wants us to kill Rot for her. For Harnel." Ilpholin explains to Valente, going to wrap her arms around him lovingly as she speaks.

Also watching Ilpholin and Valente are several skeletal monkeys. They're perched on the roof of the Manor itself, but there's some in nearby trees and similarly tall places with concealment and a view. Some sport crossbows and quivers of bolts, sized for their small limbs, but they aren't doing anything besides watching.

Was Mortius trusted with the knowledge of who is in that room?

Mortius was not. Only a handful of people know. Tenebras wants to keep it on the down low.

Valente puts his arms around her in turn. He nods gravely. "We'll get him. I promise you."

[Reinholdt]

And Mister Squiggles is watching from over there. It's a movie in the making. Even Ilpholin can't help but notice something's out there spying on her.

She goes to give him a kiss on the forehead.
"Thank you. Let's go."

Valente nods and leads on. He guides her through the gate and under the proper window. "Okay, once we start climbing we have to be fast." And then climbing presumably happens. There should be enough hand and foot holds for them to make their way up, but speed is the key.

Ilpholin turns out to be surprisingly good at climbing fast! You'd think there wasn't much climbing in caves, but it really depends on the cave size.

Plus, she's Ilpholin. Nimble physical stuff like this is just what she does. Up they go.

"I just like to know what's going on around the city, things that could effect income. Surely you know of this? You owe a casino after all, you always need to keep one step ahead. Always try to maximize your income, expanding when you can. You introduced magmart here didn't you? The effects were obvious, a couple of small stores have already have to close down, couldn't handle the competition. Only the strong survive in this world, and right now, your the strongest there is." Lavthos replies, gesturing towards the cyborg.
"You might say I feel threatened by your presence here."

And now she was scaling the walls, yeah, this was probably about Rot and the spider was in on it too.
But what should she do about it?
