Cursed Street

A fiend flies over the street. The energies here are almost enough to be felt by humans, and even the least sensitive of outsiders can tell there is something here.

The two-foot tall woman examines the street from the air. Nice place.

No, this is a bad place. She likes it.

"Oh, you shouldn't be scared."

Once again, Chione puts a lot more manipulative magic into her words.

"There's no reason to be frightened. I'm sure Reinholdt likes you enough that it'd work."

The cat nods her head. Her poor patience is already wearing a little thin. Get to lusting and sinning already, silly angel.

"Well... perhaps. I'll have to think about it." Chione's magic seems to be having some effect again, if not as much as she'd hope. At least Arel is thinking about doing something now.

It's about this time that Neme Hat Reinholdt returns from Mallside, no doubt ringing the little bell above the door if that hasn't been taken down yet for the cats to play with.

[Cursed Street]

Flickering red and white lights dance on the inside of a nearby tunnel, a near dozen small glows twirling about each other inexplicably. Yet, the fiend will also see a single house that appears occupied, an ancient manor positioned near the center of Cursed Street. There's also a quiet mausoleum on the south side of the street that seems to leak a strange, foreboding magic.

Chione purrs in amusement, and gestures toward the returning Reinholdt with her tail.

"Think fast, then."

The cat will then lope off to leave the two alone. Well, alone with the other cats, who really don't count since they, unlike the sphinx, actually don't care about the two "humans". Proper cats, them.

Ah, choices.

The lights are probably a trap, and the mausoleum probably holds a powerful undead. No reason to bug them.

The mansion may be interesting. She heads over, and lands on the roof. She tries to sneak around, find somewhere to listen at a window crack...

Or find someone alone.

There are candles in the windows, and strange designs of bent twigs and cunningly woven strings placed at each window and around the door, which even at a distance will feel sticky to the outsider, like flypaper. Best not to touch those, or disturb their magic. There is a chimney however, and it is not protected, nor is a strangely positioned trapdoor that looks like it may lead to a cellar or basement... though the latter is locked. The rest is well shut and guarded, only vague glimpses through lacy curtains hinting at what is inside the manor. It seems quite still, very few (if any) people in the house, and certainly no loud noises being made.

Ah, a trap. No reason to worry about it too much, she can probably break the enhancements is she needs to. Hellwhips are so versatile!

She shrinks down to only one foot tall, and slips down the chimney. She stays attentive, listening, feeling.

She does not have any particular magic senses besides some basic outsider sense, but unless a particular magic aura is very strong she won't notice it.

But if the chimney tries to eat her, she will notice.

Arel blinks and stutters. Ack! After a moment of hesitation she goes to meet Rein as he enters. "Hello Reinholdt." She says breathily.

[Reinholdt]

[Bast's Animal Shelter]

Reinholdt raises an eyebrow.
"Hi Arel. Everything alright? You disappeared this morning."

[Gullara]

[Bast's Animal Shelter]

"Oh, yes. Everything is fine. I wanted to look around, but you were asleep and I didn't want to wake you." Arel pushes her hair back, a bit agitatedly. Dang Chione making her think about things.

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt hesitates a second, cause something seemed off, but he couldn't pin down what, so he nods. "Ok."

As Reinholdt talks, he takes off his hat to dig through it. "So, I went shopping for a few things. Toothbrush, soap, deodorant, food cause I know this place is poorly stocked. Some basic things you might need. And while I was there, I saw this..." Reinholdt pulls out a brown cloche and offers it out to Arel. "And thought you might like it." Everyone needs a good hat! Everyone.

[Gullara]

"Oh." Arel reaches out to take the hat. She looks at it a moment before putting it on. A smile slowly spreads across her face. "Thank you so much. It's lovely." She steps forward to try and wrap him in a hug.

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt grins a bit and hugs her back. Is warm and fuzzy hugs. Yay.
"You look good in it."
Course Arel probably looks good in most anything. It's a super power.

"Thank you." She says as she pulls away. She blushes slightly at the compliment. She glances back to where she'd been sitting before. "Want to sit down?"
She sure hopes he can't here her heart hammering in her chest.

[Reinholdt]

Catboy? Hmmm... maybe. Those ears are big, yet pettable.

"Sure. Been on my feet too long anyways." Reinholdt says, going to take a seat.

Arel sits next to him, a little closer than is strictly necessary. "Reinholdt, I-" She breaks off. Why couldn't she just force the words past her lips? She couldn't muster the confidence to do it, but maybe- Don't think about it, just act.

The seraph closes her eyes, leans forward quickly, closes the distance between them, and... Unless Reinholdt reacts to prevent it, it's likely she just bumps her face into his, rather than get that kiss she was going for.

Ghar wins himself fifty dollars!

*BONK*
Reinholdt makes a slightly startled noise and leans back a bit to rub his face.
"... Have you been out drinking?"

Arel's face is bright, bright red, and she seems to be having trouble speaking. Very suddenly, she stands and rushes off to her (totally stolen) room. If she isn't stopped, she'll close the door behind her none too gently.

[Grey Zone - Streets]

Tinseltwig immediately flies out of the pocket and to his face. She places her hands on his face her eyes wide and full of worry. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?"

[Gray Zone - Streets]

"I'm fine, just a bit winded," He says. Tinseltwig should be able to see the two of the dead gargoyles around, and the results of Admer's Earth magic. He seems more than a bit winded, looking slightly pale. too much magic used too fast, but it was still quite effective.

[Grey Zone - Streets]

"Thank goodness." The pixie tries to kiss him on the lips, a few times. When she get around to looking at the scene, she blinks in surprise. "I guess this is what your magic can do."

Luckily, there is no fire in the chimney. Though maybe as a fiend she wouldn't have to worry about that. There are still no sounds, no movement beyond the shadows from the flickering lights.

If she exits the chimney (avoiding the soot, hopefully) she'll find herself in a cavernous living room, large stuffed chairs gathered around the fireplace and a long, low table. A massive grandfather clock sits against one wall, its pendulum swinging back and forth precisely. It looks like there is an entrance into a hallway on the other end of the room.

Admer doesn't resist the kisses, "It can be pretty destructive when it comes down to it, yeah. Are you alright?"

[Gullara]

"I'm fine. You were so brave and strong. You're my hero." Now that her worry has faded, Tinseltwig smiles brilliantly at Admer.

[Halae]

[Gray Zone - Streets]

Admer smiles, "I'm just the guy who opened the right bottle. I'm not really a hero." Well, he's certainly not arrogant.

[Gullara]

[Gray Zone - Streets]

"Don't be silly, of course you are." After one more kiss, Tinseltwig flies onto his shoulder. She sits and leans against his neck.

[Halae]

[Gray Zone - Streets]

"So, what do you want to do now that we've been attacked once today?" Admer seems relatively pleasant about that. It's funny, really.

[Gullara]

[Gray Zone - Streets]

"Hm... Maybe go to that Trog's place you were talking about before?" The pixie suggests. She'd be happy going anywhere, really.

[Halae]

[Gray Zone - Streets]

"Alright then, let's head there," and Admer will begin heading in the direction of Trog's. next post can be made there, I suppose.

Reinholdt totally expected that she'd try to rush off, so tries to catch her wrist gently as she stands and pull her back down to the couch. If that works, he'll use his other hand and his own face to go and give her a proper kiss. Not too passionate, but not too quick. Something right in between that seems appropriate for the situation. When he's done, he'll whisper to her. "First kisses are always awkward. That's what makes them so memorable."

Course if she slips through his fingers, it's more along the lines of "Arel! Wait!" And standing to follow her.

The fiend only known as 'Connie' enters the room and sticks to the ceiling. (She checks to make sure there is nothing up there first) If there is nothing on the table, she continues to the doorway. If there is something on the table, she takes note of that first.
