Keeping an eye out for the wraith, Halad shook his head in answer to the question of being able to see in the dark.

"Darkness? Not a problem," commented Victor. "Thing is, I'm no good in melee. I guess I'd be in the second or third row?

Ferdinand

I can't see in the darkness, but I think I have a good chance to survive. I will move second. I would indeed prefer someone with skills in the field of traps to go in front and see if there are any traps. I can also make light for almost an hour, but that would give us away if we meet potential enemies.

Ferdinand draws his blade, getting it ready in case something attacks them.

"Traps are no problem. I have trouble seeing in the dark, if someone behind me could hold up a torch or lantern, I should be fine."

I give you something better. He starts chanting and it sounds like a prayer, untill he touches the top of the head of Carn. He starts shining with a soft glowing light.

Ferdinand casts Light on Carn's head (it was Carn right??), he now shines like a torch for 1 hour (60 minutes).

Rukesh does a *facepalm*.

"May as well put target on his head that says 'hit me here'." He looks at Drynch in disbelief, shaking his head, then says to Carn "Go on then. I'll be right behind you. Drynch with me, then how about you two, then you two. " He indicates Ferdinand, Roderick, Halad, and Victor in turn. "Sorry about the you's and pointing, but it takes me a while to learn names." Realizing he'd forgotten Droska, he says "Droska, you can jump in wherever you'd like." For all he knew, maybe the spider preferred to walk above them on the ceiling.

"It'll be easier for me to shoot over the dwarf's head, so why don't I fall in behind him," Halad suggested.

Droska listens to all intently then finally speaks, "I can't see in the dark, but I think that I should be able to cling to the ceiling enough and shoot my bow over the heads of everyone should that be needed."

Carn raises an eyebrow at his glowing head. "Alright than, now that I am nice and conspicuous, let us begin.
Carn draws his swords and walks in.

Droska walks into the cave opening and climbs her way up the wall - moving until she is over the others heads.

Victor follows, while floating a few inches above the ground to keep from setting an pressure plates off.

Roderick falls into place near the back of the group.

Drynch

The dwarf shrugged at Rukesh and chuckled, "Aye, Carn be a beacon ta any foes now. But better'n havin' some o'ye walk inta danger blind I suppose."

Holding his axe and shield, Drynch prepared to descend in the order decided, "I doubt da giants were clever enuf ta lay any traps, but no sense in hurryin' down. Take our time I say, lookin' fer traps oughta prevent wastin' spells ta save lives when we can avoid it by searchin'."

The group formed up and began their slow progress down the stairs, slowed considerably by Carn searching for any traps along the way.

Twin rays of light shot out from Victor's finger, rushing out to smash toward the blobs. Having struck one foe, the rays arc behind the ooze to strike the blob behind the ooze in front.
