"Very mild, but yeah - if you eat too many mangoes, you can get a pretty nasty skin rash," Kara explains.

[RE]


"That's right... So yeah, sort of like that, but more potent."

[The Bushranger]

[RE]

"Ah, remind me not to try them, then," Kara observes.
As the cheesecake arrives.

[Lady Serpentine]

[RE]

"I will, or if you do try them, I'll warn you off if it looks like you're going to have more than is safe."

She takes some cheesecake.

[The Bushranger]

[RE]

"Thanks." Kara smiles brightly. "I appreciate that."

And she watches as the cheesecake is sampled.

[Lady Serpentine]

[RE]

Talnissa smiles back.

"You're welcome. And you're right, that is good."

[The Bushranger]

[RE]

"Try some of the fudge on it," Kara suggests - before taking another bite of said confection, herself!

[Lady Serpentine]

[RE]

Talnissa does so, and grins widely.

"That's even better. Thanks for showing me these, Kara."

[The Bushranger]

[RE]

"Least I could do," Kara says, smiling.

[Lady Serpentine]

[RE]

Talnissa smiles back warmly.

"Still, it was nice of you to do. And I still haven't gotten around to thanking you for providing such wonderful company, so thanks for that, too."

[The Bushranger]

[RE]

"No, thank you," Kara protests with a smile. "This has been the best evening I've had in...well, as long as I can remember."

[Lady Serpentine]

[RE]

"You're welcome, Kara. I'm glad I could give you a good evening. But maybe we can just agree that we're both worthy of thanks?"

[The Bushranger]

[RE]

"Fair enough." Kara chuckles softly - as the waitress brings the check.

[Lady Serpentine]

[RE]


A small slot in Talnissa's hand opens, and begins to dispense money onto the table, stopping once around a years worth of wages, and a few months worth extra as a tip, are stacked there.

[The Bushranger]

[RE]

Kara stares, not at the slot, but rather at the amount of coin.
"...wow..."

[Lady Serpentine]

[RE]

"Wow's right... But, while I wasn't expecting it to be quite that expensive, I'd still say that the evening was worth it."

[The Bushranger]

[RE]

"Well...I'd have to agree."
Kara smiles, slightly rosy-cheeked as she rises from the table.

[Lady Serpentine]

[RE]

Talnissa rises as well, and smiles at her.

"Good. I'm glad you had a good time."

[The Bushranger]

[RE]

"Is there anything else you'd like to do?" Kara asks, looking, perhaps, just a little hopeful.

[Lady Serpentine]

[RE]

"I certainly wouldn't mind spending some more time with you. What are you thinking of?"

[The Bushranger]

[RE]

"Well, I wouldn't mind, maybe, something like being walked home?" Kara smiles brightly.

[Lady Serpentine]

[RE]

Talnissa smiles back, and says "Certainly."

[The Bushranger]

[RE]

Kara smiles broadly, and heads for the exit of the restaraunt, back to the main mall.

[Lady Serpentine]

[RE -> Mallside]

Talnissa is also smiling, and accompanies her.

[Mallside]

"If you don't mind me asking, where do you live?" Kara asks, as they make their way through the mall.

[Lady Serpentine]

[Mallside]

"I live in the Grey Zone, at [adress]. You?"

[The Bushranger]

[Mallside]

"I have an apartment, it's in the Grey Zone but on the other side," Kara says, smiling.

[Lady Serpentine]

[Mallside]

"Huh. That's near where I used to work. Did you ever visit the Clockwork Shop?"

[The Bushranger]

[Mallside]

Kara shakes her head. "No - I saw it, but never had a reason to go in," she admits.

[Lady Serpentine]

[Mallside -> Inside]

Talina smiles at her, as they possibly walk out the doors.

"Makes sense. Not only was most of the stuff not really necessary, I couldn't afford half of it, and I was getting paid quite a lot."

She pauses for a moment.

"So, speaking of jobs, how do you like yours?"

[The Bushranger]

[Mallside > Inside]

"I love it. Miss Aeryn is nice, and the job pays well. And I can pretty much study whenever there's no customers, so it's almost like I'm not working at all..."
