Restaurante Enchante

Cornelia leads Boris through the comfortable haze, the smell of incense and strategically placed flowers drifting through the air. The blacksmith seems to shrink as she goes, still a bit flushed, still dreadfully awkward. Heels and a nice dress do not suit her, at least in her eyes. Nelia takes a seat at their table - a warm little booth in the back - and invites Boris to sit beside her.

One glance at the menu brings confusion. "Think I'm a bit lost." She doesn't recognize a single food!

Boris sits beside Cornelia once they reach their table, and he glances at the menu as well. He's only slightly less confused, mostly because just about all of the food he's had in his life is military provisions. He does eventually recognize a few Russian dishes, however.

"Perhaps we should start with some pirozhki," the sniper suggests.

Cornelia's look bids him to explain. Mostly the cocked eyebrow and pursed frown.

Boris smiles, remembering that not everyone knew about his culture. "My apologies. Pirozhki are basically stuffed pies, normally with boiled beef."

"You had me at 'pies'." Cornelia says, closing her menu. She's distracted by the band playing nearby. Playing everywhere, in fact. "Y'know, I wanted to git us a table outside, but I figgered we might not be too comfy. Finally gettin' cold round here. Wish I were back in th'desert."

Boris nods, though he doesn't see how he'd be uncomfortable in the autumn. "The desert is nice for you, then? I've never been able to imagine myself somewhere like that."

"Well, nice enough. I like hot more'n cold, y'know?" Cornelia smiles and leans toward him while the server makes her way over. "Though we could always try the balcony, if ye'd prefer to lose a toe or two."

Boris gives a wide grin as Cornelia leans to him and makes her joke. "Although I'd rather not lose any toes, I could honestly be anywhere if it were with you." Once the server arrives, he takes his order of pirozhki.

"Well ain't that sweet." Cornelia leans against Boris a little, her eyes drifting reluctantly to the server. "Um, what he's having." Still that awkward blush. Cornelia's wishing she'd brought her bandana. Even with all the makeup. "So, as fer that desert, I s'pose we oughta go and have a visit soon. Remember that trip we talked about? You n' me?"

Boris looks to consider the question, but doesn't actually think before answering. "I think we should visit there. How soon did you want to go?"

"Hold now, I think I know where we are…"
Kalectro said, holding up a hand.
"You don't know where we are."
His younger sister, Skyrial said.
"No really, I think we are somewhere."
"Nice going, captain obvious."
"No really, I think we can find our way-"

A few hours later

"Yup still lost, this is way I always normally go shopping with Jatone. He can at least navigate this place."
"If you have been here so many times, then why don't you find our way?"
"Very welll…"

A few more hours later….

"I applaud your skills at navigation."
"At least we are near food, I can smell it."
"Yea…I can smell it to! I'll race you!"
"No, Kal don't-"
Too late. Kalectro sped forward at superspeed- and smashed straight through a wall right into Restaurante Enchante.
"Use….super…speed………you idiot!"
"Uh….sorry folks for um interrupting your meal….eheheheh…"
Skyrial formed an ice hammer in her hands.
"Ah! Skyrial there is no need for that-AAAAAH!"
Skyrial began chasing Kalectro in circles around the restaurant.

Cornelia looks absolutely delighted. She grins, brightening her face even further. "Well, when are ye free? Mebbie the week's end? No work then, or so m'told."

Suddenly... dragons? Or perhaps superhumans burst into the restaurant. Cornelia's thoroughly startled. Enough that she really has no response. Mostly just stares at the pair.

Boris is about to answer when the somethings dashed into the restaurant. He's visibly startled as well, and he looks at the scene, before shaking his head and doing his best to ignore the pair. Crazy Nexus, he thinks.

Takara is waiting here in her usual blue kimono, sitting on the edge of the fountain. Externally, she is her usual placid self, which doesn't show the slight eagerness and nervousness that she feels.

"So, um, Saturday n' Sunday?" Since the creatures seem occupied by their own shenanigans, Cornelia returns her attention to Boris.

Boris looks at Cornelia. "Sure, sounds like a plan to me." He'd wondered what the desert was like for some time now.

"Good." The food arrives momentarily, and Cornelia extracts a bite. A bite which she nearly spits back out - too hot. "Oh, damn!" She splutters, scrunching up her face. Should've blown on the stuff, or let it cool.

Whoops, she swore. This isn't a tavern, Cornelia. She coughs, slightly embarassed, and continues, "So, um, do ye like the outfit? Seemed 'ppropriate, white matches my hair, so..."

Boris just chuckles a little when Cornelia swears, and waits for a minute or two for his own food to cool down. Then comes the question on her outfit. The sniper gives a warm smile. "I love it, it looks wonderful on you." He gives a glance at his own clothes. "Kind of makes me wish I'd taken the time to wear something more formal."

"Ye woulda looked nice inna suit." Cornelia admits, taking her napkin and flattening it in her lap. Her tone turns curious. "Do ye have anything more formal?"

Boris looks a bit sheepish. "Truth be told, I do have my officer's uniform, but I hate wearing it." He shrugs a little. "Hope I don't look too awful."

[Murkus]

"Aw, hun, I didn't mean anythin like that. Ye look great." The blacksmith smiles, daintily poking her dish with a fork. Her eye drifts back to Boris. "How come ye don't like th' uniform?"

"I know, I was joking." Boris starts to eat his pirozhki, finding it to be cool enough. He pauses when asked about his uniform. "Well, I never really felt like I earned it. I was given the rank of captain for joining a different unit, not for demonstrating a capacity for leadership." After a few seconds, he adds. "It's also the least comfortable thing I've worn in my life, including my ghillie suit." That's pretty uncomfortable.

"Didn't ye earn it in the training, though? And the fighting?" Cornelia doesn't seem to understand a whole lot of military structure. "As fer the suit, well, that's too bad. Some girls have a thing about man in uniform."

"That doesn't work for being promoted to captain, though. Promotions are actually pretty difficult." Boris gives an aside glance to Cornelia. "And would you happen to be one of those?"

Cornelia smirks and opens her mouth to take a bite, flashing her mismatched teeth. "I might be." She turns her attention to the 'pie', still talking. "I'm glad you like dresses, though. Might wear em' more often, when I'm not at the anvil or out workin."

Boris chuckles a little. "And in return, I might wear that uniform of mine occasionally, if you want me to." He continues to eat the pie.

"Mm. I don't think I'd mind." Cornelia licks her lips at the pie, already digging in. "Good choice, love." The blacksmith decides to change the subject. "So, I was thinkin' we might go walkin' tonight. See some sights. Mebbie a show." She obviously wants to know if he has any ideas.

A fishing hook attached to a line is floating through here. If anyone gets close, it zeroes in on them and tries to hook itself into their clothing.

At the other end of the line, Tarin sits back in a wooden chair, adjusting the fisher man's hat pierced through with hooks and lures that she has on her head. Her normal hat is lying on nearby table, along with a prepared meal for tea time, and a deck of tarot cards. "Alright, let's see how they're biting today..."
