Scribly heads off again, getting some food at the flint before changing in some alley and heading to meet Malakai.

You are shown out and get to the Flint. Food is had and you sneak into the alley.

You have been waiting for about an hour when a figure turns and enters the alley. It is dressed in heavy dark grey cloak and hood and looks towards you.

"What happened to your colleague?" he asks speaking at a very low and soft tone.

[Moranica]

"I don't know. We were attacked when we followed him into the docks. I managed to escape, but my companion could still be there. And I'm not going back there to get him."

Scribly then grabs his arm (where he cut it), as if to clench it from the pain.

He shakes his head. The voice comes out just a tiny bit more annoyed.

"So you not only made it apparent you were following him but your companion is lost and possibly telling him everything?"

[Moranica]

"No, no, you got it all wrong. He didn't do anything. While we were stalking him over the rooftops, we were ambushed by gray men. He couldn't even have seen it, let alone connect it to us."

[Monodominant]

"In a way that is good to know. It means the target doesnt know anything. Which means it should stay that way..." he says and with blinding speed draws a large punch dagger from the fold of his cloak and delivers two blows.

The first blow does 10 points of damage and the second does 7 as it actually just manages to graze you.

He seems suprised you are actually still standing after his attack and ... roll initiative. He is at 14, post your actions if you go first.

So he stabs you twice and you ask who he works for?

In any case its his turn.

He reacts faster than you as you are still suprised slightly by the turn of events. He stabs two more times but the second blow misses and he even drops the punch dagger on the ground.

The first blow though hits you and causes 9 points of damage.

When you ask for who he works he sneers and doesnt answer.

"I can do this all day, buddy. Now tell me who you work for if you want to live!"

The man sees that you are obviously more than the thugs he hired and frowns.

He draws a smokestick from the folds of his cape and snaps it and then jumps inside the smoke.

Scribly changes into a cloacker, after shouting.

"Surrender now, and be hurt less!!"

He hides in the smoke and you lose him from your sight.

I am inclined to say yes you need a target for this... all other 3 powers specify cone, area etc but this specifies single target within 30 feet...

If thats the reason you became a cloaker then feel free to retcon and choose something else...

If he is in the shadows, Shadow Shift (Su) is active (metamorphic transfer) the mirror image variant. (1d4+2)[4] images.

The cloacker let's out a nauseating moan. Right into the smoke.

About Piscine I dont want to comment but I think its doable... for both of you as one error from either side and you can both go down.

He does indeed and the frequences penetrate the smoke. Nothing happens though.

If he has managed to hide would I be correct to assume that even nauseated he can still remain hidden assuming he only does this 1 move action and goes slow enough?

Also, roll spot and listen (you need to beat 19 for spot and 22 for listen so if you dont beat them go ahead and post your next action as well)

The cloacker start flapping it's wings furiously, hoping to disperse the smoke.

I have several options vs. Piscine.
Wear down his entire spell arsenal.
I have enough pp for a lot more vigoring. He needs to blast off about 200 hp to be able to kill me this way. Damp power helps if he rolls high. Simply trading pp for hp.
At the same time, I've switched to attacking, without spending pp. Just to wear him down quicker. My final pp will be spent switching to remoraz of course. Getting another 30 hp from con. I do hope his repertoire is ending at some point.

At some point we could do a fight between Ishmael and your PC but thing is I have an unfair advantage into knowing your PC... and a few levels as well... on the other hand I am not really optimised...

You indeed do not manage to hear nor see where he is but your wind blowing disperses the smoke easily. As the smoke clears there is nothing there...

As you ponder the disappearance you hear a sound of something metal swishing through the air.

Four incredibly sharp daggers fly towards you and you barely manage to dodge two of them. The third hits but doesnt penetrate your tough exterior. The fourth though does a number on you as it hits you next to the eye and get buried deep causing 15 points of damage!

You see the man suprised even more that you have not collapsed yet just a few feet away from you having only moved about 15 feet from the original smoke position. He doesnt seem nauseated and you see in the folds of his clothes a belt with three rows of daggers.

Engulf (Ex)
A cloaker can try to wrap a Medium or smaller creature in its body as a standard action. The cloaker attempts a grapple that does not provoke an attack of opportunity. If it wins the grapple check, it establishes a hold and bites the engulfed victim with a +4 bonus on its attack roll. It can still use its whiplike tail to strike at other targets.

Attacks that hit an engulfing cloaker deal half their damage to the monster and half to the trapped victim.

The man tries to avoid your grapple but fails and you engulf him.

On his turn he tries to get you off him but does not manage it, your strength and particular strength being too much even without any effort from your side.

Basically you have a +13 on grapple and I rolled a total of 12 for him during his action so no need to roll even.

A subsonic vibration makes the two tremble as the cloacker releases one of his special moans.

Stupor
A single creature within 30 feet of the cloaker must succeed on a DC 15 Fortitude save or be affected as though by a hold monster spell for 5 rounds. Even after a successful save, the creature must repeat the save if the cloaker uses this effect again.

As a heads up, if he saved vs the nausea earlier, he can't be affected the next 24 hrs. Same goes for this one.
