A mix of bluff, disguise but also hide for shadowing her but no need for Move Silently since its in a crowded street.

No worries though I rolled the hide for you.

You wait until she finishes her purchases and start tailing her. She indeed doesnt seem to notice you and you quickly realise that she seems to be heading towards the area where her old house was. Indeed as you continue darting from shadow to shadow or standing next to a stall the few times she checks behind her you start recognising some of the buildings.

She is quite carefully and even doubles back twice and you notice her using glass shop fronts but your abilities are beyond those even of an adept at such things and you go unnoticed. Eventually she arrives just outside the burned out house and looks around as if waiting for something.

Scribly watches and watches, and then realises something. He could be targeted right! Quickly he moves away two blocks, looking around carefully for onlookers. Then he looks for a way to gain excess to the rooftops and return to the scene.

You do not spot anyone observing you and you manage to find a forgotten ladder in a side street and use to get on the roofs.

The passage from roof to roof is hard but you manage it in the end. You feel lucky that the past couple of warmer days have melted the snow and you dont risk tripping or falling at any point.

You are also just in time for your return as you see the man who is your target, recognising from the clothes and twin swords rather than actual characteristics, exiting a side street and approaching the girl.

Seeing the opportunity, Scribly starts buffing.

If I became huge, could I jump/step off the roof? How high is it?

4 rounds is... 24 seconds so you barely have time as they head inside after a quick greeting.

As for huge... you would be able to Hop of the roof (assuming it doesnt collapse from your weight) so no need for jump check etc.

Might have issues though to chase them inside the house.

You start using your abilities to improve your capabilities as the man and woman embrace and exchange a few quick words.

They then start heading inside the ruined and burned house as you are just about to finish your transformation.

Waiting isn't Scribly's strong point, and after 30 seconds he heads down, and after them.

Assuming you move quickly you manage to catch a glimpse of them heading upstairs through the half-burned staircase leading to the first floor.

The predicament you face is that you remember clearly that it was a noisy affair and as such it would be extremely difficult to follow them upstairs without making your presence known.

Scribly feigns wisdom and heads back to his employers, to bring them the good news.

You arrive there like before. You knock like before and like before a while later you are beckoned towards the building across.

The man, your usual employer, looks at you expectantly as you cross the threshold.

"Back so soon? Did you manage it after all?"

"No sarcasm please. Yes, I'm still alive and know which house your little friend and his woman live in. If we go right now, we might even find them at home!!"

I know, but to really stand a chance, I need to become at least large... Not so good indoors.

He does seem genuinely surprised.

"Really... thats... good. Unfortunately my colleague is nor here right now which complicates things. Tell you what... if you join me right now and you help me finish this you can have an extra 2k gold!" he says seriously.

Scribly realises he is already a bit fatigued from buffing earlier, but realises opportunities make for good profit.

"Hmmm, I fought him before and I know the danger involved. Make it 2,5k and I'll do it."

"You forgot to mention you actually fought him... but very well. Two and a half it is!" he says firmly.

"Lead the way then..." he says and exits along with you, locking the door behind him.

Oh dear, here we go. I already spent 19 pp, so 41 left

Buffing a new, without the thicken skin. Just vigor and. 34 left

He brings him to the house, making sure to buff again before entering.

"They went in and upstairs."

The man nods and walks around the house checking it out.

"Interesting. But I guess its the truth eh? They do say that a murderer always returns to the crime scene!" he says and laughs softly.

"So here goes the plan. We need to do things thorougly. I want you to just distract him for a few seconds until I take care of the girl. If she is unconsious or worse then he wont flee again. If she is standing he will just try to get her out and avoid fighting us or even block us to save her... so you distract him I take care of her and then we focus on him!" he says and starts walking inside.

"Oh! I can actually make sure you are more silent!" he whispers and touches your shoulder.

"Its better if I try it... my friend will expect me to go straight for him so he wont try to stop me at first and I will feint at going at him..." he says as he also approaches the staircase and starts climbing it.

He does seem to be quite agile as well and makes little to no noise...

You have both reached the top of the stairs and you can now see a faint light coming from one of the larger rooms on this floor and you recall it was one of the most intact rooms of the house. It would be safe to assume that the couple are hiding there considering that noone will seek them in the house they already abandoned before.

Your companion motions to you to move ahead and whispers.

"No mercy!" he seems quite excited and blood thirsty at this instant as his features are obscured by the shadows of the empty burned out hall in which you are walking.

As you peak through the door you see a calm and tender scene.

There is an everburning torch in the middle of the room and a small portable stove at the corner. One sleeping bag and a few sacks with food and provisions as well as a couple of winter blankets can be seen in a corner of the room.

They must have cleaned the house a bit as there is a series of mostly unburned books collected and other small items that survived the fire from the whole house.

Just next to the only window of the room sitting in two chairs you see the man and the girl. They are drinking hot beer and whispering.

The silence is broken when your comrade dashes in drawing his two swords and calls out.

"Time to die!" as he starts moving towards the other man and motioning to you to follow.

Actually not that good... headache and all that. It was a stressful week as I had a business trip and a business review so kind of too much pressure manifesting now the week is over :D

You realise you aimed too low just a second too late. The ball of ectoplasm would have missed as your target has always been fast despite the armor he wears. Still though its mostly the suprise of being discovered once again and seeing his old friend that works for you and you actually hit him.

Seeing the ectoplasm ball hit your employer doesnt waste time. He moves to the girl in one quck stride and he stabs her with both swords in the chest.

The girl looks down on her chest for one frozen moment not having time to even scream or yell or defend herself. She then collapses on the floor.

Actually started my new job 2 months ago and took weeks of long hours and stress to get everything organised properly. The last two predecessors left due to burnout. So this was the first relaxing week at work in ages. From next week forward though, pressure is on again for two weeks, as it is audit time for us. But that's just stress without the hard work.

Also, my daughter turns 1 tomorrow, so party time!

With amazing speed he draws both rapiers out despite the goo that covers him and he takes a step closer to the girl.

His eyes burn... red! with anger and he makes a hissing sound. He uses the swords to defend himself and he casts haste once again on himself like he had done on the tunnel.

Its around 40 x 40 (feet so basically a battlemat equivalent of 8 by 8 5 foot squares). The ceiling is 8 feet high. (2.5 meters if that helps more)
