I'm looking forwards to maybe getting Trix some new fingers for her right hand, and then getting her back into things at last without the added annoyance of having to figure out how the Orange Ring was affecting her actions. Did you know she's had it on almost the entire time she's been in the Nexus? As early as week 1, she was wearing it and it was affecting her negatively even at the time.

So now, she'll have less greediness and all those related things. And she's coloured by her experiences, and I'm aiming to make her a little less skittish because of it, a little more mellowed out. I think it's shaping up to be a fun revival :3

There is a moment of silence before the Remnants all raise their guns. Two of those with solid ammo open up on the tires while the Officer aims his gun at the driver. The other two raise their laser rifles at the one who had been on the turret. There isn't much of a warning except for the feeling of suspicion growing from them. There isn't a sound as they all communicated with each other through their helmets.

This seems like an improper response from Remnant to me because they're opening fire on innocents without a single warning when their mission is:

What remains, is a small organization made up of the remains of The Empire. A far cry from the massive army it used to be, these Remnants have taken it upon themselves to continue on in their duties, to protect Inside and the very people who live within it.

It just seems weird to me and counter-intuitive(is that the right word?) to their duties.

Well, given Umbrella's reputation, and the situation going on inside, it seems all too likely that they're tied into this mess. That aside, they could be infected, or all sorts of other stuff. By preventing just willy nilly exits out of the quarantine by suspicious people in a Humvee, Remnant probably IS protecting Inside.

Besides, shooting at tires is hardly opening fire on innocents. No, not the rubber! Oh, the humanity!

It makes perfect sense to me. They're driving around in an Umbrella jeep in the middle of what is believed to be an Umbrella-provoked attack on the city of Inside. As far as I know, the corporation hasn't said a word of warning to anyone, and really hasn't done much to help anyone but themselves in regards to evacuation and quarantine and whatnot. Anyone can see all these Umbrella nametags on a bunch of zombies and make the connection between them and the strangely quiet pharmaceutical company, and when you're under a massive invasion by infected monsters, you're probably not going to just assume it was an entirely accidental and not the slightest bit malicious and intentional.

But I think MF probably interpreted the post as Remnant shooting at everyone, instead of aiming their guns at everyone and only shooting at the tires, so I understand why he was a bit .

Right now, that squad sees a heavily armed pair of corporate workers, traveling around in a quarantine zone with a .50 cal turret. When asked to leave the vehicle, the driver ignored their authority on the grounds that there might be zombies around, when at the moment, there weren't any.

That really seems suspicious.

That, combined with that you said Umbrella would be known to be a major pharmaceutical company, kinda makes it easy to believe they have something to do with it. Any medical company that puts their slogan on a military grade humvee is far from innocent, and when that humvee is in the middle of a zombie outbreak, its even less so. Especially considering that Umbrella has apartments in the area.

But yes, its only the tires being shot at and the people being aimed at.

Jacques flashes back his own "I know something you don't" look and pulls the trigger on the revolver, spitting forth a single bullet with near-perfect accuracy.

Said bullet is loaded with a small amount of uranium and a detonator, and reacts with whatever it hits by releasing a tiny, tiny thermonuclear blast.

It may also be worth noting that Jacques sprayed himself, his guns, and his bullets down with Antimagic Spray. Granted, the stuff isn't inpenetrable, and is in fact very low in quality, but it should dull the edge of whatever's being thrown at it or him.

At worst, the sort of bullet described would have roughly the same effect as a hollow-point, dispersing kinetic force upon impact to create a larger wound, at the cost of slowing the bullet itself down, although the density of uranium would probably allow it to penetrate armor better than a standard issue lead hollow-point round. Fancy, yes. Powerful, maybe, although not nearly as much as, say, a fireball or energy blast. Cost effective? Not in a million years.

As for the anti-magic spray... Yeah, that's sort of silly.

How is any of that at all relevant? It's still an exploding bullet against a pixie.

Hey TE, did some calculations, and at the average size for a pixie, a revolver round will make a hole 1/16th the pixie's size through them. A bigger hole is not what is needed. Add that to the fact that with the anti-magic spray it will punch through magical shields much better, and it's pretty much the most OP thing in this fight, including my ludicrous tree tennis stunt. It may not be against any other enemy, but size definitely matters in this case. It just seems like Oblivion went straight for the one shot one kill, and that isn't much in the spirit of fun I thought the skirmish was intended for.

Just in case when the bullet cause a nuclear explosion... what keeps him away from dieing as well? I mean even if we accept the bullet itself a nuclear bomb has some deadly side effects in an much larger area around.
