That said, while I'm not terribly fond of the pixie in question, I agree that that's overkill.

Also, aren't Quinn's things psychic, thus rendering the antimagic spray useless?

@Slii and Morty: No argument there. I was merely explaining that an "atomic" bullet isn't really much more powerful than standard munitions, as this seems to come up fairly often. This is, I believe, the fourth time I've seen "nuclear rounds" used in combat, and every time people act like they're far more powerful than such weaponry really is.

In this case, it's really the fact that Oblivion is using firearms at all against such a tiny foe, not the fact that said guns are loaded with uranium rounds, that's OP.

Seeing as Happy and Ghar's posts, which I was responding to, were mainly focused upon the supposedly "nuclear" nature of the bullets, I felt like setting the record straight.

But I think MF probably interpreted the post as Remnant shooting at everyone, instead of aiming their guns at everyone and only shooting at the tires, so I understand why he was a bit .

I'd consider them Depleted-Uranium rounds. I.e. more penetrating power than ordinary bullets, but not even an explosion.

Except it specifically says in the post they are designed to explode. Anyway, I've said my piece already, and I mostly agree with what TE said, I just think it wasn't right for the fight.

As would I, except that they're (in this case at least), specifically mentioned to explode. Which is rather silly and wouldn't actually work in real life, but then again, neither does magic.

Actually, a light dose of radiation is all that's really added, in addition to some heat. The term 'explosion' was probably misused there.

Further, it's not like it's a homing round: There's a fast flying pixie there, presumably at more than point-blank range, with the ability to use illusions. Jacques is a good shot, but he's neither a sniper god or using a minigun. It's not impossible that he missed or that it was dodged.

And the antimagic spray isn't the same antimagic that we've been vilifying: It's not "I'm IMMUNE to your magic!" so much as "Ow, 10d6 fireball! At least I only take 7d6!"

Add on to the fact that Jacques did give him an opportunity to surrender before he did anything violent, and I'm not actually sure what it is that I did wrong.

It's what was already loaded in the gun.

Seriously. In fact, an earlier post while preparing for the battle specifically mentioned him loading up that ammo because he didn't want to worry about armor.

Same post mentioned the antimagic spray being used.

Of course, what else does Jacques have that wouldn't one-shot a typical pixie? I guess he could try slapping it, but it's wielding a weapon and that's just silly when he's not strapped for ammo or anything and at a distance...



EDIT: Nevermind. I distinctly remember him loading up the ammo, but I can't find that post. I totally did spray down the antimagic, though.

In any case, I'll go ahead and pretend he was using regular ammo, since that's slightly less overkill.

Zefir is in a mental debacle here. He knows Xifra(if his player remember right) they met at Trog's a while ago. After all she seems different, but the fact she is wearing Objects clear this fact as well. He can't really allow this guy to do something to her. As far as he knows this object thing is some kind of race. The more you got the better you are or so. But this guy seems to pact with the hell. Maybe he could act in a way which doesn’t really cause him to throw him inside. For his act he tries to hide in the next alley while concentrating on the marble.

If nothing breaks his concentrations he will be able to manipulate the earth between Xifra and the snake thing to create a small wall which should block the way for the moment. The wall won't be very high, but since Xifra sit's it doesn't need to.

Zefir, Xifra is on the rooftops, not the floor.

Sorry for the doublepost, but, um...I've kinda ran into a rather embarrassing problem. It seems that any edit I do to add things to the Remnant OP, will push me over the character limit.
